The first woman in the Bible is called Eve. Bible says in Gen 3:20, “Adam called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.” What we know about Eve is that she was the mother of all living, the first woman on the planet earth. God placed her with Adam in the Garden of Eden. Both ate whatever was in the garden and lived happily till the serpent managed to lure Eve. Genesis 3rd chapter, beginning from first verses we read the conversation of Eve and the serpent. Finally Eve succumed to temptation and Bible says in Gen 3:6, “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.”

Both Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, disobeying God and sinning against Him. So the mother of all living became corrupted and she passed on that corrupted nature to the next generation and to generation after generation and that corrupted seed is being transferred and is still in this world. One disobedience brought sin in this world.

But we read about another woman in New Testament who obeyed God and because of her obedience redemption of mankind could come in this world. Her name is Mary the mother of Jesus. When the angel gave her news about the birth of Jesus she replied in Luke 1:38, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.’

Jesus’ unique birth through virgin Mary preserved the uncorrupted seed of God. His holy blood was shed on the cruel cross so that sinners could be redeemed and made new. Jesus came in this world so that he could take away our sins and give us a new life. When Adam and Eve sinned, they died spiritually but Jesus came to give us life. Bible says in 1 Cor 15:45, And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.” Also it says in 1 Cor 15:22, “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.”

There is no other option to get rid of our sins except the blood of Jesus. His precious blood is available for our cleansing. If you humble yourself and call upon His name He will forgive and forget all your sins and give you a new life. Bible says in Heb 3:15, “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."

Will you obey God humbling yourselves and giving your life to Jesus? Please pray this prayer with me: Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and I need forgiveness of my sins. Please forgive and forget all my sins. Today, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life and make me whole. Help me to walk in your ways. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer and giving me the right to become a child of God. I give you all the glory. I pray this prayer in Jesus name. Amen.

Equipping for the ministry - 2

By Sheela Isaac

As I wrote in my previous message that when God calls you for His ministry, He puts you in the school to teach things. He teaches not only through dreams and visions but also by way of several experiences. He will make you to walk through those experiences to strengthen you for future ministry. To be in ministry we had to go through various experiences. In order to train us, God put us among those people who practice witchcraft. Not only that He also allowed us to go through death threat and there by taught us various truths. Through all these experiences the first thing we learned in our life was to trust in God for everything.

Trust God with your whole heart:
Salvation brings a person to the place where you can call God as your father. But crisis brings you to the place where you really learn to trust in God as your father. For this process God takes you through crisis so that He can build your trust in God. After getting saved when God called us for the ministry He brought us to the place of learning. First He taught us to realize what witchcraft can do to a person and the second thing He taught us was how to trust in God and escape the snares of the enemy. As I wrote earlier, there were times when we had no freedom to move out of our house. People were roaming around in the street in front of our house from morning to night in order to harm us. Prior to our coming in ministry we never had such experience and so we had no idea what happens to people or what they really feel when they go through such crisis. It was the time when we were really longing for human help. As we were going through this crisis there were times when I frantically wished that somebody would bring grocery as we were unable to move out freely. But it was amazing that during the two years period of the crisis no one ever visited us, not even a single believer. Then I did not know why it is happening, but now I can understand that when God brings you in crisis, He puts you all alone and helpless so that you can look to Jesus for help. It was in these times of distress that we really learned to look to Jesus for our help.

Through these experiences God taught us how to seek Him only for help instead of looking for human help. Because we had no other choice we were compelled to pray and to know the will of God. We prayed every day asking God if that day is the right day to move out, if that time is the right time to move out. Little did we know then that God was trying to lead us through it so that we can learn to not only hear His voice but also to fully trust in Him. A child fully trusts in his mother or father for everything and they never doubt about their ability to protect them. Here our heavenly father does the same thing. Through crisis He will train you to develop the habit of fully trusting in Him so that when crisis arises in your life you may not look for help from your friends, neighbors or your relatives but to look to Jesus for everything. Because of this training every time when we got into crisis we looked to Jesus first and whatever He told us to do we did and because of that we always came out of the crisis. This is the right way to handle any crisis. I am not saying that you will not need human help at all, but before you find help you must be sure to whom you have to approach for help. For this God only can direct you to the right person.

Look at the life of Joseph and Mary, the parents of Jesus. They both were engaged to marry and suddenly they found themselves in the middle of a terrible crisis. When Joseph found out that the girl to whom he was engaged to marry was pregnant it was definitely a very big crisis for Joseph. I come from Indian background and that is why I can understand the significance of it pretty easily. We had one neighbor and they were looking for a girl for their son. Once as we were talking to this neighbor, she said, "we saw two three girls for our son but nothing worked out so far." I asked her why? She said, "A girl we saw was very good looking and well educated. Everything looked pretty fine and we were about to settle down this wedding but meanwhile somebody told us that she had an affair and previously she was dating somebody. So we decided not to proceed further." I asked her, "what if somebody might have just told you because of envy and what if the report is false." She said, "well once we heard it so we really do not want to bring this girl to our house." Joseph's condition was the same, as the Bible says when he came to know he decided to forsake her. Mat 1:18-19, "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly." Joseph was a righteous man that's why he did not want to publicize it. Because he knew very well that if his community knows it they will stone Mary to death. In the time of Jesus according to Jewish law if a woman is found in adultery the rule is to stone her to death (john 8: 3-11). But Mary's case was entirely different. She did not do anything wrong but Joseph did not know that the child about to be born was from Holy Spirit.

Well how did the crisis end? While Joseph was contemplating to leave her, the Angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph. Mat 1:20 -21, "But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit." "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." When the angel told it to Joseph he believed. I believe that he was very spiritual that is why he had no doubt in his mind. He had no problem in believing in dreams, visions and angels. In today's situation if you tell somebody even those who profess themselves to be Christians they may not believe it. They could have already stoned Mary by this time. They could have told that dreams, visions and Angels are all fake doctrines. So how was the crisis solved? Joseph heard from the Angel of God and trusted it. He knew without any shadow of doubt that God had spoken it. When God spoke, the crisis was resolved.

Look at the life of another person David. When God anointed him as future king of Israel God had not only called him but trained him for the task. To do this God had taken him through wilderness. While Saul was trying to kill David and he failed to walk in God's ways God killed him. 1 Chr 10:13-14, "So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance. But he did not inquire of the LORD; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse." The question was why God did not do it early. After all God knew that He will kill Saul one day. God could have done it at the beginning of the crisis. God had already anointed David as future king. God had already rejected Saul from the throne. The question is why God should wait that many years? The only one reason was that David was not ready for the kingdom and to make him ready God had a plan to take him through the learning experience. Here David was in big crisis. He did not know when Saul will catch him and kill him. He was definitely in distress that was why he said, “there is but a step between me and death.” 1 Sam 20:3, "Then David took an oath again, and said, "Your father certainly knows that I have found favor in your eyes, and he has said, 'Do not let Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved.' But truly, as the LORD lives and as your soul lives, there is but a step between me and death." He was in the run to save his life.

How did the crisis end? How could he escape from the king and the whole army? He looked to God for help. He got instructions from God. He was willing to do what God had to say. That was the only escape route for him. The Bible says that David inquired from God before he took any step. That was his defense. He heard from God and that was why Saul the king of the land with his mighty army could not catch him. 1 Sam 23:1 -2, "Then they told David, saying, "Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and they are robbing the threshing floors." Therefore David inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I go and attack these Philistines?" And the LORD said to David, "Go and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah." He attacked keilah because he heard from God. Again we find that when Saul was looking for David to catch him he again inquired from God. 1 Sam 23:7-8, "And Saul was told that David had gone to Keilah. So Saul said, "God has delivered him into my hand, for he has shut himself in by entering a town that has gates and bars." Then Saul called all the people together for war, to go down to Keilah to besiege David and his men." When David heard that Saul was trying to attack him in Keilah, what did he do? He sure inquired from God to find out the right counsel. 1 Sam 23:9-13, "When David knew that Saul plotted evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, "Bring the ephod here." Then David said, "O LORD God of Israel, Your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake. Will the men of Keilah deliver me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as Your servant has heard? O LORD God of Israel, I pray, tell Your servant." And the LORD said, "He will come down." Then David said, "Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?" And the LORD said, "They will deliver you." David and his men, about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah and went wherever they could go."

If God had called you for the ministry He will surely train you so that you could become a person who will be ready to obey God on every thing. He will turn you to become a person who has a great trust in God. Crisis comes not to destroy but to build a believer and the minister of the Gospel. God had not promised escape from the crisis but definitely He has promised deliverance from trouble. God would not remove the problem but He will make you to go through it and to find victory. That is what happens in the real Christian life and in ministry. God did not make an escape route for David but He trained him and gave him skills required to tackle the problem. If you are going through trouble look to Jesus. He is the only answer for all the problems. When you cry out before Him He will surely come for your help. In the more than twenty years of my ministry I found this great truth. Every time when we got into crisis we first looked to Jesus for His divine counsel. Following His counsel had always worked. He always came for our help. From my own experience I can say with great confidence that Jesus never failed us not even a single time.

Praise Him...

In Jesus Name: I have just passed the 9th month mark of my one year liver treatment; Praise God the Hepatitis C was "undetectable” on 3rd & 6th month’s testing. They will test for month nine shortly. As you may know I must take daily meds and a weekly shot, because I am prone to anemia. On these meds I also take two separate weekly shots and one shot of B-12. On my last blood work I was two small points on the anemia line, but believing that on the next test there will be NO ANEMIA & MY HEPATITIS C WILL ONCE AGAIN BE "UNDETECTABLE". I am feeling like a "pin-cushion" again & have injected so many times in my legs that the skin has turned reddish & scaly. I once again badly need your intercession as I enter 2007 in a better state of health than at the start of 2006. As an extra-added bonus in some that HIV levels go/stay at undetectable due to the liver meds --- PRAISE THE LORD that's my case too. So to sum up my HIV & Hepatitis C remains undetectable; I am free of the meds serious side-effects & believing that I will have anemia obliterated from my body on this month's tests. GOD BLESS YOU & A BLESSED CHRISTMAS!
A brother

Thank you very much for praying for me, I just came from the hospital and read the report myself. My report does not say that I have stone in my kidney which is very good news to me because I was worrying a lot since my left was taken out some years ago and am living with only one kidney. We serve a good and living God and he loves and cares for us.
Your sister in Christ

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
