Jesus came in this world to save those who are lost in sin. Once I heard a very funny thing that "whenever convention or revival meetings are conducted and when altar call is given for accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, a group of the same people would always be prepared to go forward. So there is no meaning of going forward again and again or saying that we are saved." Let us look from the Bible regarding what the Bible says about salvation of our souls. Once Jesus was invited in a Pharisee's house to eat. As Jesus sat down to eat one woman who was a sinner came with an alabaster flask of fragrant oil. Luke 7:38 says, "and ‘she’ stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil." What this woman did was considered by Jesus as an act of repentance and faith. She shed her tears at the feet of Jesus. She repented from her sins and showed her love for Him. When we read Luke 7:36 – 50, we can see two main things in the life of the woman who came with an alabaster flask, 1. She shed tears at the feet of Jesus and 2. Her faith, that made her to get the forgiveness of her sin.Jesus said in Luke 7:47-50 "Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little." Then He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?" Then He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace."Finally Jesus told her, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace." Old Testament also tells the same thing. We read in Proverbs 28:13-14, "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Happy is the man who is always reverent, But he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity."Even today Jesus is ready to forgive our sins. Only if we confess our sins and turn around from our sins. The same Jesus who forgave the sins of the woman is able to forgive and forget all our sins. Bible also tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."Yes, it is important to confess our sins before God and turn around before it is too late. If you want to give your life to Jesus please pray this prayer with me: ‘Lord Jesus, I confess all my sins, small or big which I have ever committed. Please move with compassion and have mercy on me and forgive all my sins. Today, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Please come into my life and make me a new creation. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayers. I give you all the glory and honor. I pray this prayer in the matchless name of Jesus, Amen.’
Today some of the prevalent questions among most of the people are: Will this war escalate into a bigger war? Is this the third world war? Is it the end of the world?Well I will try to answer these questions in the light of Bible.This war is a proxy war by Iran. Russia and China are perhaps indirectly attached to it as weapons supplied are from China and Russia. Given the scenario it is very close to what Bible has to say in Ezekiel 38 and 39.Gog and Magog war. Ezek 38:2 "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,Ezek 38:3 "and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.Ezek 38:4 "I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.Ezek 38:5 "Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet;Bible talks about two Gog and Magog wars. One is before anti-Christ is established and another after the millennium rule of Jesus Christ on earth. The first war will set the stage for Anti-Christ to enter peaceably. Between these two wars is the war of Armageddon. And time between the first Gog and Magog war and Armageddon is approximately 7 years. Because the first Gog and Magog war will enable Anti-Christ to emerge and there will be a 7 years peace treaty and just at the end of 7 years peace treaty, Armageddon war will happen.Rev 16:16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.For Armageddon war to happen there has to be an army of 200 million personal (Rev 9:16) in place. Right now no country has an army of 200 million people. World's largest army is in China with 1.7 million soldiers and second biggest army is in India with 1.1 million soldiers. India and China put together have Military Man power of about 600 million, that is, people of age who can be recruited into Military.Rev 9:16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.For a troop of 200 million to be deployed within 7-8 years is not practically feasible right now. But eventually that may happen later on. Out of 600 million men of age for war, to deploy 200 million is not an easy task. More than 90% of these men have not seen a gun in their real life. For such a big army, rifles and other fire arms are not available right now. So to the question, will this war escalate into a bigger war in the near future? Answer is no, it will not. World do not have at present the infrastructure ready for the first Gog and Magog war. There are many things that need to be in place before the first Gog and Magog war could happen.Is this a beginning or prelude to Gog and Magog war? Yes, it is. It is the preparation for a battle that is coming ahead of us. If you look at the battle description in Rev 9:17, it says: horsemen riding on horses that looked like lions and out of their mouths came fire, smoke and brimstone. Today's tanks, artillery and aircrafts have very close similarity to what is written in Rev 9:17. Tanks and aircrafts fire artillery rounds and bombs that have fire, smoke and brimstone.Rev 9:17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.So it is for sure that we are in the era that is called last days in Bible. But it is not a time of panic yet. For Anti Christ to emerge, there are more things that needs to happen. Like Gospel has to reach to the ends of the earth before Anti Christ comes into power.Also the army that will go against Israel will cross the Euphrates river. Currently US troops are deployed in Iraq and as long as these troops stay in Iraq, another army cannot cross through river Euphrates.Rev 16:12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.You may have wondered where India fits into the picture because Ezekiel 38-39 is talking about Gog, Magog, Rosh, Meshech , Tubal, Persia, Lybia etc. Mostly Northern countries. But Rev 19:12 talks about Kings from the east. India and China both are Eastern countries to Israel.There are talks going on for peace keeping forces to be deployed by UN. Russia is ready to send it's troops and India has also offered to send it's troops. One thing that needs to be noted is that both Russia and India have condemned Israel instead of condemning Hezbollah. China may not be willing to send their soldiers yet but they have condemned Israel. Putting all together it looks that Nations are gathering together their army currently as peace keepers but eventually engaging into war against Israel.When the first Gog and Magog war happens probably in years from now, US will not be able to stop them like they have stood with Israel this time and have prevented the world from enforcing an immediate cease fire. God will act with His mighty power. He will send a mighty earthquake to swallow this army that will be going against Israel (Ezek 38-18-19).Ezek 38:18 "And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel," says the Lord GOD, "that My fury will show in My face.Ezek 38:19 "For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: 'Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel,Then again when Armageddon happens, Israel will not have a defender for them and Lord Jesus will descend Himself to make war against the great Army that has gathered to fight against Israel.Rev 16:15 "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame."So far if you have not noted, one thing is clear that Anti Christ will come peaceably while Jesus will come to make war and to conquer. The fake prince of peace will enter with the word "peace" and the real prince of peace will enter with the word "war". That is the reason why today when the more this world talks about peace, we see more and more chaos because the platform for peace is being controlled by the devil, the fake prince of peace.Question is when Jesus will come, will he find faith on the earth? Will you be found faithful? Examine your life today, Are you ready to go with Christ when He comes in the clouds to take away His bride? Have you received Him as your Lord and Savior? Or is it that you are Lord over your own Life and not Lord Jesus Christ? If you have not yet committed your life to Jesus, You have time still to pray this prayer and commit yourself in the hands of Jesus.Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I have sinned against my fellow humans and against you. Please forgive me and cleanse me with your blood. Please wash me clean and make me a new person today. I receive you as my Lord and Savior. Be the Lord of my life. I ask all this in Jesus Name Amen.If you have prayed this prayer please write back to us and we will be praying for you.
Once my sister wrote this story of a boy. He was very poor but he loved God. He was working in a factory to earn his wages to keep his family. He was the breadwinner for his family. Every day when he used to go for work his mother would pack some food for him in a piece of dirty cloth so that he may not go hungry. One day as usual he went outside of the factory to have his lunch. He sat under a tree and was trying to untie the knot of the cloth package. Suddenly out of the blue a dog comes in and takes his packet. He screamed and ran toward the dog to get his packet back but of no use. He ran and ran but could not succeed in catching the dog. So finally in his desperation he decided to get back to his work. As he approached the factory door he found that it was already locked. Then only he realized that lunchtime was already over and that as he was late, he cannot get inside the factory. So he began to cry thinking what a day it was, "first I lost my lunch box and now I am late in my work. So I will not be able to receive today’s wages. What am I going to do now? How am I going to face my family and tell them that we do not have money for tomorrow to buy any food." As he was crying and thinking about his fate suddenly he heard a loud noise. There was an explosion in the factory. Later he found out that there was an explosion in his section where he was working and most of his co-workers had died. He could not believe it. Then only he realized that God is good who sent the dog to carry his lunch box away so that he can escape from that deadly explosion. If the dog had not come to take away his lunch box he might have died by that time as his colleagues.God protects His children from being harmed. Bible tells us in Deu 32:10 how God took care of Israel as we read, "He found him in a desert land And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye."I was reading the story of Hudson Taylor a missionary for Christ who had great faith. Even at the time of horrible trials he did not lose his faith. I want to quote an incidence of his life which shows how he believed in God even at the point of death. In the year 1854 Hudson Taylor was sailing towards China. When they reached near New Guinea the sailing vessel was becalmed. The captain had a distressed look on his face. Hudson Taylor asked, what was the matter? The captain said, "we are carried by four-knot current to a sunken reef. Our fate seems to be doomed. We are about to die in the hands of people who live in the Jungles of New Guinea. On the shore of the Island there are cannibals (who eat humans). They are rushing towards the sailing vessel with lighting fire with great glee."Captain said, "we have done everything what we could and now there is no hope." The young man replied, "No, there is one thing we haven't done. We four of the young men on board are Christians. We will go to our room and pray to God that He could send a breeze immediately that will carry us away from the shore. They went to their room and earnestly pleaded with God. A few minutes later the young men came out of their cabin and with confidence said that their request is granted. They found that the officer who was in charge did not believe in God. They requested him to let down the corners of the mainsail. The officer asked, "What would be the good of that?" The young man replied that he and the other three young men were pleading with God for immediate help. They also told the officer, "we do not have any single moment to lose as our vessel is very near to the reef." The officer replied, "Nonsense! You can not pray and bring wind." A few moments later the topmost sail was beginning to tremble. Officer said, "that is only a mere puff of wind, its nothing bigger than cat's paw. The young men replied, "never mind what you think" and they cried out, "Let down the mainsail quickly." Captain came up from his cabin and found that breeze had indeed come. Within few minutes they were sailing away from the dangerous reefs. Native Cannibals on the beach got very much upset seeing that the vessel was sailing away from the shore. When Hudson Taylor and his friends asked for help from almighty God, He came for their rescue. In a situation like that where there was no hope for them and death was hanging on their heads, God intervened in that situation and saved them. That kind of God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Are you afraid of your enemies today? Do you see strong enemies have surrounded you and because of that are you losing heart? Trust in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is able to rescue you. He will stand around you and protect you just as He stood around the children of Israel and protected them. He never allowed their enemies to come near them. The same God is able to help you.
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
