Jesus said in John 8:35-36, "And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." We all long for freedom. Many wars have been fought in the name of freedom because nobody wants to be a slave but to enjoy freedom in their own house.When Jesus said that, "if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed" He meant freedom of our whole being. Freedom from Sin: Jesus started His ministry with the message of repentance. He said in Mat 18:11, "For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost." Jesus came to save us from our sins. He gave His precious life on the cruel cross so that we could be free from sin and bondages. Bible tells us in 1 John 1:7, "But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." Are you saying, "I am not able to come out of my sins and addictions?" God invites you (Isa 1:18), "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool." Freedom from Sicknesses and oppression:God promised to the children of Israel in Exo 15:26 and said, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you." God of Bible is a healing God. He wants to heal our sicknesses, diseases and infirmities. When Jesus was in this world, He walked among the sick people and healed all kinds of diseases and delivered those who were oppressed by devil. He raised dead people, wiped away the tears of their loved ones. He promised healing and health for His children. Dear friends, you may be suffering from various diseases and from oppression of devil. But Jesus can deliver you from demonic activity and sicknesses. Freedom from Emotional hurt and pain: Once Jesus went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. When He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep." Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise." So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother, (Luke 7:11-15).This was the love of Jesus. Whenever He saw people suffering, He was moved with compassion and He wiped away their tears. The widow of Nain had only one son and probably he was the lone breadwinner in the family. Her husband was already dead and now the son also. Her future was shut on her face. But how happy she would have felt seeing her only child alive by the mighty power of Jesus. This is the love of Christ. Even today, He wants to heal our hurting and painful lives with His mighty power. For this very purpose He came in this world so that we could have abundant life - a life full of peace, joy and happiness. Come to the cross and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. He will forgive and forget your sins and give you a blessed life. He promised to heal diseases and pain. Let us cast all our cares, hurts, pains and sicknesses on Him.
The first five books of the New Testament talk about the mighty miracles done by Jesus in the early Church. Once a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, "Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him." Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me." And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour (Mat 17:14-18). Further we read in Mat 17:19-21, "Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. "However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."Obviously the disciples were amazed and puzzled seeing that they could not cast out the demon but Jesus did it that very hour. Jesus told them that it was because of their unbelief that they could not cast out the demon. It was not the first time when Jesus pointed out their unbelief. Once Jesus got into a boat and His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!" But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him? ( Mat 8:23-27)" Mark describes the same passage in this way in Mark 4:39-40, "Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!"Jesus often rebuked them for their unbelief or little faith. He asked them, why you are so afraid? Again we read about Peter when he wanted to walk on the water just as Jesus walked. So he said to Jesus in Mat 14:29-31, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"All these incidents have a common thing that is fear and doubt that made them to lose their faith. As long as Peter focused on Jesus, he could walk on the water without sinking, but when he saw that the wind was boisterous he was afraid and he lost his faith.But contrary to it Jesus said in Mat 17:20, "... for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." And in Mat 21:20-22, "And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, "How did the fig tree wither away so soon?" So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."Jesus said that, if they have faith, all things are possible and even mountain can be removed from its place and can be cast into the sea. I was thinking about it and I was completely amazed because mountains are always situated in far away places away from the sea. If mountain has to be cast into sea, it means not only the whole mountain must be uprooted from its place and it needs to be transported to the sea. And Jesus is not talking about doing some work, but only to have faith as a mustard seed. Jesus spoke only few words and mighty miracles took place. He not only healed people, not only raised the dead but walked on the water, spoke to the raging sea and wind and made them to calm down. What was the secret of His mighty power? He was filled with great faith because He was anointed with the Holy Spirit as we read in Acts 10:38 "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." The same disciples who were labeled as of no faith or of little faith by Jesus Himself did mighty works when Holy Spirit came upon them. The same Peter who denied Jesus three times was used mightily by God when Holy Spirit came upon him. Today also God wants to fill us with His Holy Spirit so that mighty works could be done through our lives. Just have faith in Him and all things are possible through the mighty power of God.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
