When Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, God told Moses to build an ark where He would come to dwell in that place and walk in the midst of them. Whenever they journeyed from one place to another the Ark of the Covenant went before them to search a resting place for them as we read in Num 10:33-34, “So they departed from the mountain of the LORD on a journey of three days; and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them for the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them. And the cloud of the LORD was above them by day when they went out from the camp.” And whenever the ark set out, Moses would say: "Rise up, O LORD! Let Your enemies be scattered, And let those who hate You flee before You." And when it rested, he said: "Return, O LORD, to the many thousands of Israel" (Num 10:35-36). Moses who had seen the mighty and wonderful miracles God had performed, he knew what would happen when God goes before him and when God dwells in the midst of His people. In times of utter desperation when there was no way out for Moses and for the Israelites, he called upon the name of the Lord and He responded from heaven and came for their rescue. When they came out of Egypt, their troubles were not over. They were camping at the shores of the Red Sea and when they looked back and saw the Egyptian army closing up, they got devastated. There was no hope of escape. Death was very near to them. Moses cried out to the awesome and mighty God and He performed a mighty miracle. He parted the Red Sea in two and the Israelites went through, but the Egyptian army when they tried to follow was drowned. The same God performed yet many other mighty miracles in their lives, He provided for them, fed them, clothed them, protected them and led them to a land that was flowing with honey and milk.I know how it feels when you are desperate. In the year 2005 my dad was very sick. He was in the hospital and his condition was continuously deteriorating. On 3rd Oct. 2005 he was in coma and doctors told us that the chances of his survival was nil. It was like standing in front of Red Sea where there was no hope. In those desperate and hopeless moments we cried, we prayed and we believed for a miracle. The same God who promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you…” came for our rescue. He did a mighty miracle in our lives and gave my dad’s life back. More than two years now, he has fully recovered.Yes, my friend, if this awesome God is walking before you and dwelling among you, He will perform mighty and awesome miracles that eyes have not seen nor ears have heard. When He walks before you, no enemy could stand before Him. No matter how mighty your enemy could be, no matter how much equipped with modern technologies could he be, he cannot stand before this wonderful God. His name is Jesus. He loves us and cares for us. Probably you are standing at the brink of Red Sea today and seeing no hope. My friend, look to Jesus, He will make a way even where there is no way. All things are possible with Him.
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.1. Stronghold of mind:When we get saved, change of heart takes place because Bible says that out of the heart precedes all kind of evil. Mark 7:21-23, "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, "thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. "All these evil things come from within and defile a man." If heart is the root of all evil then why does Bible speak about mind renewal? Well, salvation brings about changes in heart and we see that many areas of our lives change after salvation, but still many old things stay with us. Why? The reason is that while our heart has changed mind is not yet renewed. When I was a child, I heard continuously that in the old testament time Holy Spirit used to come and go and would not stay for ever and that in the New testament time Holy Spirit was given permanently and He stays with us forever. I believed it totally till I got saved and read the word of God (Bible) by myself. Bible nowhere speaks about such experiences. In the Old Testament we find that when king Saul provoked God and committed sin, the blessed Holy Spirit left him forever. But Bible does not say that in Old Testament times Holy Spirit was given for a particular time so that He comes and goes. See how a thought becomes a stronghold in the mind though it is incorrect according to the Bible. How many times do we collect such information in our lives, which is not right according to the Bible. When we hear such things we need to dig down into the word of God (Bible) to find out the right meaning of things. The second thought which bothered me for a long time is that, "one family ministry is not good". When I was in India I heard it over and over again. When God had called us for the ministry as a family many people said, "you should take outsiders also along with you and form a committee and do ministry as it is not the right thing that one family control everything." Well when I dug in the Bible some startling truths came out. What was it? Through out the Bible, people who did ministry was from the same family. If you look at the lives of priests of Old Testament time the ministry got transferred to the next generation of the same family. God commanded Levites to do the ministry. Look at the Bible. Eli's ministry transferred to his own sons. Moses, Aaron and Miriam did the ministry together and they were from one family. Aaron and his sons were called to work together for the ministry. God did appoint them as a family to do the ministry. God said very clearly about Aaron and his sons that their ministry was for an everlasting priesthood and was intended to continue for generations.Exo 40:12-15, "Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of meeting and wash them with water. "You shall put the holy garments on Aaron, and anoint him and consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. "And you shall bring his sons and clothe them with tunics. "You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations."Eli and his sons were also called together to do the priestly ministry. As long as they did everything right their ministry went well but when his sons got into sin, God replaced them with another person Samuel and brought him for ministry as priest. If you look at the life of king David, again you see that God had promised David that if he and his generations walked righteously before Him, He would not allow anybody else to take away the kingdom from them. God desired godly kingship too for generations through the same family. 1 King 8:25 "Therefore, LORD God of Israel, now keep what You promised Your servant David my father, saying, 'You shall not fail to have a man sit before Me on the throne of Israel, only if your sons take heed to their way, that they walk before Me as you have walked before Me.'Here God had appointed David as king and his generations to rule over Israel with one condition i.e. "if you walk in My ways." As long as the descendants of David followed God and sought God diligently they could rule over Israel. But when they failed to walk in God's ways God had to take the kingdom from their hands and give to another person. Bible nowhere says that one family ministry is wrong. Instead Bible supports one family ministry and God had approved it and called people as a family to serve the Lord. What we are hearing from others could be wrong and it could stick to your mind and could create stronghold and could stay in your mind forever. The wrong teachings would not only stay in your mind forever but also will steal your blessings. You might lose the best of God not knowing what is right and what is wrong. That's why we need to check everything from the Bible to figure out whether what we are hearing is correct or not. 2. How to Renew our mind:The question is, why the renewing of mind is so important and how to renew our mind and how to get rid of any stronghold. Bible says in Rom 12:1-2, present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. It means to live a clean life, which pleases God. Live a life, which is acceptable to God. That's what God wants from every believer. Here I am not talking to an unsaved person, but to those who are saved who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. You need to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, as a holy offering to God, and this can be done only by the renewing of your mind. The next verse tells, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. The verse says not to be conformed to this world which means not to follow the patterns of the world, not to follow what the people of this world are doing who love to do all kinds of filthy things but to follow God's laws, that is, the rules of God which speak about holiness and righteousness. Jesus said, "be holy for I am holy." Holiness that's what God requires from us. I am talking to each believer. 'If you are a child of God you need to seek holiness and you need to renew your mind.'Ok, so what does it mean by 'the renewing of our mind'? Renewing of mind is nothing but the process by which you train your mind to do certain things. Once I heard in TV about dog training. They said, if you want to train your dog you need to teach it the same word over and over again. Do not give your dog more than one instruction at a time as otherwise it would get very much confused and would not learn anything. So what they do; if they want to teach it to sit down. They say, "SIT". They repeat this command for days even months as required till the dog learns very well to follow this command. When the dog begins to obey this command each and every time they praise it lavishly, they give treat to it and they say, "good girl or good boy." That's how this training works. Until the dog learns to sit down they would not teach him another command "Stand". In the same way they train Dolphin for dolphin show. When they say, jump they would jump, when they say roll down they would do that. They apply the same method on dolphin too. If they can train a wild animal why can't you train your wildest mind to obey the command? When I got saved I had a deep longing in my heart to live a holy life. This thought was so intense and so burning in my heart that I thought I would die under this thought. Every time I took one step towards holiness I was excited but soon Satan would come and push me back ten steps backward. I was so frustrated by this experience that I began to think whether holiness is possible or not. Then I do not know how I began to pray, "I want a holy life, Jesus please help me to live a clean life." I began to put in my memory this one sentence. See that's how the training began. I was putting one sentence in my mind every few minutes. As days went by I practiced it vigorously and I was feeding this one sentence to my mind heavily. I began to feed this sentence every ten or fifteen minutes. I fed it to my mind to the point of saturation that only this one thought overruled my mind. How it worked was that when temptations came, my mind was so saturated by the thought of holiness that it flashed out saying, 'you need holiness you can't do that, it is not God's will'. That's how my life became cleaner and cleaner. So what is renewing of mind. It is a two way training.1. You are feeding a special good thought in your mind and training it up to obey that one command.2. It is a prayer where you are asking help from Jesus saying, Jesus please help me to live a clean and holy life. On the one side you are training your mind for holiness, but on the other side you are recognizing that only Jesus can help you out to live a clean life. Only He can cleanse your life and make you clean. You are asking father to help you out. Believe me, it worked for me and it would work for you. I trained my mind for holiness and I could achieve holiness in my life. Holiness is possible that's why Jesus said, "be holy for I am holy." You can renew your mind and train it up in every area of your life where you lag behind or fall in sin. Especially I see today that dating and marriage problem is growing rapidly. Marriages and families are falling apart. The reason is that you have failed to renew your mind. Do you know that you can save your marriage by renewing your mind? I am again talking to believers you need to save your marriage and by doing so you need to stop ruining the name of Jesus. Please right it down that one sentence in two pieces of paper and give one to your spouse. Feed that one thought in your mind heavily that, "I am a married man/woman I would not look at another person because it is SIN in the sight of God." Feed your mind heavily to the point of saturation and you will save your marriage and you might save your place in heaven too. Job says,NKJV Bible: Job 31:1 & 3 "I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman? ...Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?The Living Bible: I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust upon a girl. ...I know full well that the Almighty God sends calamity on those who do" (Job 31:1-3). If you are a single person, you need to wait for God's perfect will instead of going on dating with ten different people. It will not only bring deep hurt and emotional destruction in your life but will also fill your soul with guilt and shame. If you are still drinking and smoking even after salvation, you need the renewal of your mind. If you are watching filth in TV or Internet you need it badly. If you are cheating others and stealing even after salvation you need it. Yes my friend, you need this renewal in all the areas of your life. Let us make straight our lives before God and live a clean life.
Thank u very much for all who are praying for my Mother who has been suffering with multiple myeloma, cancer of plasma cells. Today she has consulted one expert doctor and he has advised for the biological test for whole body. The blood result shows that the counts are almost normal. Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord. All the other results will get last of this month and some of them have to be send for further opinion. If the result is negative then Only to decide whether to go for transplantation. We need more prayers and a miracle in our lives. Once again thank you very much for all who are praying for my mother...Please do pray.......
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
