Deu 33:26, "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to help you, And in His excellency on the clouds.There is a God who really wants to help us in our troubles and in our dire needs. No matter how troubled our situation could get, He is always ready to help us. Psalmist says about God that He is the help of those who seek Him in Psalms 121:1-8, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills; From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.”In Psa 46:1-4 Psalmist says, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.”Further he says in Psa 46:5-7, “God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah”Time and time again David who experienced this timely help in his own life, wrote most of the Psalms. He recalls how God showed up without fail when he needed deliverance, protection and miracle in his life. There are times when black clouds of trouble surround us and overwhelm us. There are times when we feel completely hopeless and helpless. But God says in Psa 50:15, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."Yes, He is just a call away. He will surely respond to cry for help if you call on His name. Psalmist again says in Psa 34:5, “They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.”
He shall bring it to pass! - 2
God of the Bible speaks to His children through visions and dreams. Num 12:6, "Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.”Bible talks about a young boy named Joseph. Joseph’s father Jacob loved him more than all the other kids. Because of that his brothers hated him very much. One day Joseph saw a dream that literally suggested that one day his brothers and parents would bow down before him. When he shared his dream with his brothers they got angrier.The dream was like this: Gen 37:7-11, ‘"There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf." And his brothers said to him, "Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?" So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, "Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me." So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, "What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?" And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind.’That little poor boy became victim of the anger of his brothers. His brothers carefully planned a plot to destroy him thinking that they will thereby destroy his dreams with him. Look at their thoughts written in Gen 37:20 "Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, 'Some wild beast has devoured him.' We shall see what will become of his dreams!"They put him in a pit but later took him out and sold him to the Ishmaelite merchants who were passing by that route. The whole idea was to put down Joseph at any cost. They never cared about Joseph but wanted to destroy him at any cost. But there is a God who laughs at the plots of the wicked and turns the table around. There is a God who overthrows the calculations and equations of the wicked. There is a God who loves His children and hears their cry from heaven and answers those cries. It was true that Joseph went through this harsh, cruel and bitter experience. It was true that he lost all hopes of seeing his father and younger brother again. It was also true that he was broken hearted and became a man of sorrow but his dreams were still alive and well. Psa 105:17-19, “He sent a man before them; Joseph; who was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him.”God never allowed the dreams of Joseph to die. A day came when God fulfilled those dreams which He gave Joseph years ago. Those forgotten dreams which were forgotten years ago, came to pass. Those dreams which no one could ever imagine, not even in their wildest dreams, that they will come to pass, came alive because God was with Joseph. My dear friend, had God given you a dream, had God spoken to you about your future, He shall bring it to pass. He will never forget His words and He will never allow your dreams to die. Just trust in Him just as Joseph trusted in Him. Though he went through this many troubles yet he walked in the ways of God and trusted in Him. Finally he came out of all his troubles. He became ruler over Egypt and his brothers came down and bowed before him just as he dreamed. His dreams were fulfilled exactly. The same thing God can do in your life. Look to Him.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 14th Oct. 2008
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 14th Oct. 2008
