God spoke to His children time and time again as seen from Genesis to Revelation and He has not been silence any time. Bible tells us in Amos 3:7, "Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets."But the question is, 'How does God speak to a person?' In the Bible we read that God speaks through various means. He speaks to people through His word, by dreams and visions; He also speaks face to face or in an audible voice, through the gift of prophecy or interpretations etc. We read in Num 12:6-8, Then He said, "Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?" So God speaks to His prophets in various ways and God spoke to Moses face to face just as a friend speaks to his friend. Then we read in the New Testament Heb 1:1-3, "God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high."And when Jesus was about to leave this world He said to His disciples that His communication would never stop and that He would send Holy Spirit who would come and dwell with them and guide them as we read in John 16:13, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."Today we can have this precious Holy Spirit with us and in us so that we could walk in His truth and know what is ahead of us. God has never kept His children in dark but He wants us to have fellowship with Him and know His heart for our lives, for those who are around us and for this world. The first step to receive Holy Spirit is that our sins must be forgiven and we must be born again. Unless we are born again we cannot receive the Holy Spirit because Holy God cannot come in an unclean body and dwell in us. But when a person is washed by the precious blood of Jesus, he/she can receive the Holy Spirit. So the very first thing is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior then God will fill you with the Holy Spirit.Once while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus and finding some disciples he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.(Acts 19:1-2)" and also in Acts 19:6, "And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied."Once I heard about a lady that when she was praying, God told her to leave her home with her family and go and stay with her relatives because there was a disaster coming. She told her husband but he was skeptic so he refused to go to her relative's house. But when she insisted more and more, finally he agreed to go. They left their house and went to live with their relatives. Next day morning they heard the news that a deadly poisonous gas leaked in the area where their home was and hundreds of people died. But this lady and her family were spared because they heard the voice of God and left that place.This is what happens when God leads us. Today we also can hear His sweet voice and guidance in our lives if we come to Jesus and give our life in His mighty hands.
Acts 2:17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.Last time we saw how God gives dreams and how those dreams come true at God's time. When we get filled with Holy Spirit dreams and visions becomes a part of our life. When God pours His spirit visions, dreams, prophecy etc, follows. When we talk about visions, many confuse them with the goals or visions we set for ourselves and say, "That's what vision is". But Bible speaks about the vision which is not what is set by us but which comes exactly like dreams. When God shows something a picture appears before your eyes for a spilt second and disappears, but you can know what God has shown you for. Many times prophecy comes after a split second vision. Then you can know that the prophecy is a description about the vision that God has just given. Bible talks about many who had seen visions. We read that Paul went to the third heaven in a vision. He did not know whether he went in the spirit or in the body. Here is what Paul says in 2nd Corinthians chapter 12, verses 1-4,2 Cor 12:1, "It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord:2 Cor 12:2, "I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago; whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows; such a one was caught up to the third heaven.2 Cor 12:3, "And I know such a man; whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows;2 Cor 12:4, "how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter"This is remarkable that Paul saw heaven in his vision. It is not the goal/vision that Paul set by himself as many preach who don't know what the Bible meant by visions and dreams. If you are not spirit filled you will not have such experiences and you can't explain what it is. When I came to USA I heard about star fruit for the first time. I had never seen it before. So I could not tell about it or could imagine what it looked like till I saw it myself. When you make slices of this fruit it looks like star. In the same way while talking about visions and dreams, if you are not spirit filled, you do not know what it is and so you will think that all about is just setting up of goals.When my brother, sister and I were in India and waiting for the visa to go to USA, the waiting was a long and painful process for us. After my dad had applied for our visa 4 - 5 years had passed by and there was no sign of it coming since we heard nothing. For me some times this waiting process put me in a hopeless and helpless situation. There were times when I used to tell my sister and brother, 'not sure how long it is going to take'. Then one day out of nowhere I got a very bad and disturbing thought. The thoughts were:1. What if your parents die before you get visa and that you may never see them again?2. What if you don't get visa and your brother and sister go while you are left out all alone?These were the tormenting thoughts which literally tormented me and I lost all my peace. Whenever these thoughts clicked in my mind I felt hopeless and totally devastated. For me getting visa was like life and death issue. Well these thoughts continued for more than a month or two or more. Then one day my sister saw a vision and she told us. In her vision she saw a shelf in which two big custard apples were sitting there. Then she saw that somebody brought three smaller custard apples and kept it by the side of the two bigger ones. She shared this vision and it was crystal clear and no explanation was needed. This vision answered both of my bad thoughts and a great peace flooded in my soul. After this whenever those bad thoughts clicked in my mind I remembered this vision and I knew for certain that God has spoken and He is going to do it. I knew that 'I am going to see my parents alive' and that 'God is going to take us three together' and that 'we will join our parents'. This one vision drove away my torment and hopelessness. The worry disappeared and instead peace filled my soul. Yes if God shows something it always comes to pass. After a year or two this vision came to pass. We three traveled together and joined our parents and Jesus wiped away our worries and fears. It really amazes me how clear the vision was. When you are filled with God's spirit your life becomes easy and sweet. You don't need to live in torment and fear anymore but Jesus brings comfort in our lives through His comforter 'Holy Spirit'. Isn't it wonderful? Visions and dreams are so precious. You can't learn it in school or can't take degrees about it but it comes from God. Visions and dreams are one more sign that you are spirit filled. Let not fear hold you back from getting this wonderful experience. Counterfeits are there but know for sure that if you love Jesus, He will give you the best. When you ask Holy Spirit He will not give you evil spirit. Luke 11:11-13, "If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? "Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" Let not counterfeits drag you away from God's best. Let not wrong teachings and doctrines make you lose the best. If you don't have such experiences about which I explained for the past three weeks know for sure that you are not spirit filled but you are already under deception. Somebody had taught you wrong things and they have created fear so that you may not get filled with Holy Spirit. Somebody had already deceived you by telling you that these things no longer happen. Why? Because they don't have it and they don't want you to get it. Don't think that the dreams, visions, tongues, prophecies are from Satan but it is clearly explained in the Bible that it is from God. Let no one deceive you from your destiny and take away your blessings. What about miracles, healings, signs and wonders?Mark 16:15 -18, "And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."These are the words of Jesus. Jesus said, go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature and for those who believe these signs will follow. Jesus didn't say miracles are over. Jesus didn't say tongues were only for the disciples of Lord Jesus. Jesus didn't say signs and wonders are over. But He said, "go into all the world". It means that these are not for one group of people but for ALL the people of the world. The verse says that for those who believe these signs will happen. It means that for those who do not believe these signs will not happen. Right? If it is not happening with you then you need to believe and grab it because it is for everybody. If you are not spirit filled then you have to check whether you are really saved or not? You can't get filled with Holy Spirit unless and until you are saved. If you are not saved you need to grab it. If you are not saved you can't get to heaven because without forgiveness of sin you can't see God.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
