Jesus said in Mark 11:23-24, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

Throughout the ministry of Jesus it was evident that Jesus performed mighty and awesome miracles. Whenever there was a situation impossible for human beings, Jesus spoke one word and healings and miracles happened, even the dead were raised to life. One word by Jesus and wind and storm calmed down. People were astonished seeing such awesome miracles. Whenever some crisis came or some hard cases came up and whenever the disciples could not bring a solution for the people, Jesus bluntly spoke to them and said, "Where is your faith?", or "O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you?". Faith is the main key to move the mighty hand of God. Bible tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God.

Once Jesus was traveling with His disciples and He was hungry. Then He saw a fig tree and went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. But He found nothing to eat for it was not the season for figs and Jesus said, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His disciples heard it." Next day morning while passing by they saw the fig tree had dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away." Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God."

Jesus once said in John 14:12-14, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."

I remember once I was playing with our neighbor's one year old daughter and my mom and her mom were standing near the boundary wall between our houses and talking. I seated the child on the trunk lid of the car and showed my hands indicating to welcome. She laughed and fell on my arms. Then I took a step back and showed her my hands again, this time also she laughed and fell on my arms. I went probably 5-6 steps back and again I showed my hands. To my astonishment she laughed and she stooped a bit as if she was trying to fall on my hands. Seeing that her mother screamed as well as I and I ran as fast as I could to catch her. Thank God that she did not fall down. But I was completely shaken and it was uncomprehending for a teenager like me. I thought, "how could she do this, can't she see that I was standing far away from her and probably I could not make up to catch her in time in my arms?"

But this was the faith of a small child. She did not know what dangers laid in front of her if she fell on the solid concert floor but she believed that no matter what I would catch her. Sometimes we look at our circumstances and we lose faith in God. Our faith starts to waver and fear fills our heart. Fear removes our faith from our hearts. But if we have faith in God, Jesus said, we can move mountains, we can speak and things would happen. Once Peter saw Jesus walking on the water and he wanted to walk as well. Jesus said to him, "come". As long as Peter's eyes were fixed on Jesus he could walk but as soon as his attention was drawn towards the storms of the sea, he was afraid and cried out.

Let our eyes be fixed on Jesus so that no storms, no dangers could ever affect our lives. Let us have that mountain moving faith in us. Let us put our trust in Jesus just like a small child and we will be able to see mighty things happening not only in our lives but also in our surroundings.

JESUS - THE WAY

By Sheela Isaac

John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Bible clearly says that "Jesus is the way". I heard somebody say, "Cross is the way". I don't find it in the Bible not sure which Bible says so. If you say that Cross is the way it means in other words that you are saying, "Jesus is NOT the way but cross is." Let's not forget that steal or a wooden cross cannot be the way, but JESUS is. You can't replace Jesus with the Cross. Cross doesn't bring salvation in anybody's life, but the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross, that is what, which brings salvation. We need to look to Jesus for forgiveness of sin.

If you look through history you can see that Satan had done the same thing. He took the Bible verses and distorted them a little bit here and there and created new religions. That's how Islam, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness and other religions came about.

In the Bible we find that Satan did a similar trick with Adam and Eve. He came to Eve in the form of a serpent and said,

Genesis 3:1- 4, "Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'you shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?" And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; "but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'" Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will NOT surely die.

Here we find that Eve said to satan, God said, if you eat the fruit of the tree of good and evil you will die." Then satan said to her, "you will NOT surely die. See how satan added only the word "NOT' with it and tricked Eve and made her to eat from the forbidden tree. The rest of the story you know that it was the beginning of the fall of the human beings. They did not die physically but as God said they indeed died spiritually. That's how sin came into this world and it corrupted everything. Satan did the same trick with Bible verses and that's how new religions came into existence. The major difference you see in Christianity as compared to other religions is that Jesus gave holy laws, but the other religion scriptures has texts which states that their gods allow sin and they did not consider sin as sin. If you look into the major religions of the world you can see that adultery, divorce, prostitution, murder ect. are not considered as sin. Even you will find their founders/gods themselves committing the same sin.

Let no one fool you. Cross is not the way to heaven. You can't go to heaven by suffering or by your own good works. Bible says that our own efforts are like filthy rags in the sight of God. We can't do enough good works to please God. We can't suffer enough to earn salvation. If it was not true then Jesus (God Himself) came and died in vain.

Isaiah 64:6, "But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.

But the good news is that Jesus came and died for our sins and He paid the full price on behalf of us and we can receive forgiveness of sin by coming to Jesus. When we come to Jesus and repent from our sin the pure and holy blood of Jesus washes our sins and our heart and gives us a new heart which says NO to sin.

Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

Come to Jesus and receive the free gift of salvation. Let not this opportunity pass by you. Once you become a child of the most holy God you will have access to all the privileges which God has. By coming to Jesus we inherit everything which Jesus has.

What we inherit by coming to Jesus:
1. Forgiveness of sin

Mark 2:10, "But that you may know that the Son of Man (Jesus) has power on earth to forgive sins";
Acts 3:19, "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

2. Holiness

Heb 9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
1 Cor 1:8, "who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

3. Eternal life
Rev 3:5, "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

John 10:28, "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

Do you want to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If yes, I would like to pray for and pray with you. Let's pray.

Lord Jesus, I believe that you are God who came down and died for my sins. I believe that you can forgive my sins and give me eternal life. Please forgive and forget my sins. Cleanse me with your precious blood and make me a new creation. Come into my heart and live in my heart forever and ever. Help me to live a clean and holy life. I praise you and thank you for coming into my heart. Thank you for forgiving all my sins. Thank you Jesus, I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
