Jesus told not to worry about things of this world. But how can one live without worry? In Matthew 6:33-34 Jesus told us how to achieve a worry free life where we read, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."Jesus gives a simple solution to get rid of our day today worries and says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." 'All these things' lists all the basic necessaries and much more as Jesus illustrated in Matthew 6:26, "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" Matthew 6:28-29, "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."Are you worried about food and clothing today? Consider the birds of the air and the lilies of the field... they do nothing to earn their living but Father God feeds them. How those birds reach to their food? It is very interesting. Once I saw a documentary about the birds how they travel miles and miles to find their food. In that documentary they showed that in the woods there may be many trees yet at the time when trees flower, birds can see the vibrant colors of the flowers from far away and they travel to those flowers. Similarly some birds can see insects and small animals from far away even while they are up on the sky flying and they travel to catch them.Most often we search for food, shelter and clothing but we forget that the simple rule for getting everything lies with first seeking God and His righteousness. When Joshua took charge of the Israelites after the death of Moses, God told him in Joshua 1:7-8, "Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."Seeking God and His righteousness is the first step toward success and prosperity. If you have given your life to Jesus, He Himself will guide you and help you in all your ways. And further He will also lead you to eternity. Without Jesus there is no way by which you can find eternal life. So I urge you today to come to Jesus and give your life to Him. Seek Him and His righteousness and you will find Him and with that you will find everything necessary in your life.
Once my dad got transferred to a small town and while we were there some of the families became good friends with us. One family would visit us very often and my mom also visited her frequently. Often when my mom went to their home, one of the next door neighbors would come to their house as well. She always looked very sad and hopeless. One day my mom asked what the reason of her sadness was. With great sorrow she said that she was a very happy and careless girl before her marriage. But when she got married, she realized that her husband had seizures (epilepsy). Suddenly her husband would fall to the ground, roll on the floor and foam from his mouth. Ever since she married, her life turned to become miserable and hopeless. She did not know what to do in those moments. She was sad and she said, "Had some one told me before my marriage, I would not have been in this mess." It seemed so hopeless for her, but if you are a child of God and if you seek His face for guidance He will guide you in all your ways.Once a dear sister shared the story of her life how God protected her from great harm through the showing of some vivid dreams. She got a proposal for marriage of a man who was doing ministry. In the natural it seemed everything good and promising but whenever she prayed her heart was not in peace. She had pressure from everyone to marry him as everyone thought it could be the best one for her. She prayed with much burden and one night she saw a dream. In her dream she saw that a rope was tied to her neck and the other end of rope was tied behind the back of a bus. As the bus moved she was dragged along with that bus. When she woke up she knew for sure that she has to avoid marrying that man. Through her dream she got indication that if she married that man her life would be like a person who is dragged along tied to a bus.At times we just do not know what types of danger lay before us but when we pray, God would guide us in the right direction. Yes, there is a God who leads us, guides us and shows us the way. His name is Jesus! Do you want guidance in your life today? Ask Him and He will not disappoint you.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
