Once I heard the true story of a God fearing family in India. One day husband and wife went somewhere out and there were no one in the house except a maidservant. She was cleaning the house and suddenly she heard someone breaking in. Before she could hide or do something two thieves came before her, tied her hands and foot, taped her mouth shut and stuffed her in a safe like closet. Then they ransacked the whole house and collected all the valuables, gold jewelry and clothing etc. The whole time that young girl was praying and asking for God's help. Suddenly she heard someone walking upstairs and the thieves also could have heard as if someone was walking upstairs. They heard the sound becoming prominent getting louder and louder. Thieves got upset; they got terrified and ran for their lives leaving behind all the goods they had collected for themselves.Three or four hours later the owners came back home. They found out that their house had been ransacked and the servant girl was no where to be found. They ran from room to room and finally when they came downstairs they heard groaning noises coming from a safe. They ran and opened the door and found the girl inside unable to speak. They untied her and what she told them startled everyone. She said, "Master, why did it take 3-4 hours for you to come down from upstairs? I heard that you were walking but you did not come here? They said, "We came just now, not 3-4 hours back." But she insisted that not only she heard the sound of steps, but also the thieves. She also said that only because of the sound of steps the thieves ran away. Then only they realized that their home was supernaturally protected. God would have sent an angel to create that walking sound. They knelt down and praised God for what He did for them.Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."Devil tried his tricks to our first parents Adam and Eve. He stole the good life that God gave them and destroyed the peace and joy from their lives, but Jesus came in this world, born in a humble manger to restore that peace and joy and to give us a new life. When we are about to celebrate Jesus' birth, we can do some soul searching whether we have given Jesus a chance to take His birth in the manger of our heart or not. If we invite Him in our hearts, He will restore to us what the devil has stolen and He will give us eternal life.Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."Jesus is the Prince of Peace and He wants to give us peace. To restore our peace He suffered on the cruel cross. We read in Isaiah 53:5, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed."Do you say that you have no peace today? Do you say that you are burdened with various problems? Do you say that you have lost all your hopes? Come to Jesus, He is our hope, He is our restorer, He is our deliverer, He is our Savior and He can bring a solution to our problems in our lives, no matter what the situation we may be facing today.
A few years back I was talking to a person in a forum. We spoke on many topics from getting rid of our sins to how to get in heaven etc. When the topic of heaven came, he asked, do you believe that there is a heaven and hell? I said sure I do because not only Bible says so but also various mediums tell us that heaven and hell is a reality. I also said that we can only enter in to heaven if our sins are forgiven. And for this there is only one way and that is the blood of Jesus which can wash away all our sins. Then he asked another question, what heaven and hell is like and in what state people are in those places? I replied that heaven is a place where there would be no sorrow but only peace and joy but hell is the opposite of it where there would be unending sorrow. While we were discussing all these things, one night he saw a dream. He saw in his dream a very bright white clad man. (He said that he believed that the man was Jesus.) And the man asked him, "Do you want to go to heaven or hell?" His reply in his dream was that, "too much happiness is not good and too much sorrow is also not good... it should be in balanced proportion." Next day when he shared his dream in the forum, I was shocked and I was shaking. I kept thinking, why didn't he simply say that, he wanted to go to heaven?Sometimes we simply miss those opportunities which God wants us to grab. The creator of the universe wants us all to go to heaven and for the very purpose He came in this world. He humbled Himself to be born in a lowly state yet He was not ashamed. Though He was rejected by all yet He was not ashamed to proclaim what He has kept for us. Though He was spitted on His face yet He forgave them. Even today His loving eyes are searching our lives and one question He is asking is, "I did all to forgive your sins, would you come and receive that forgiveness? Would you like to go to heaven?" Yes, Jesus came to give us eternal life and He wants to give it right where you are. He is not pleased when a person dies as we read in Ezekiel 18:32, "For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live!"Today, you do not need to die in your sins but there is a way out to get forgiveness of your sins and live a holy life and also you can go to heaven. If you just come to Jesus, He is ready to forgive and forget all your sins.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
