Last week there was shooting in one elementary school where 20 children and 7 adults were shot dead. What a tragic event it was! What peace you would have if you see your child dead? What peace you would have if you see your loved one dead or dying? What peace you would have if you see your loved one sick and suffering? Yes, Death is painful, death brings great sadness in our lives and it takes away our peace. When death is so much tragic, birth or new life is the opposite of it that brings great joy in our hearts.

When our first parents sinned against God, they died spiritually and it brought great sadness in the heart of God. Not only that, their sin brought disaster in this world and death and destruction came in this world. But God in His great mercy made a way for us to reconcile with God and have great peace and great joy in our hearts once again. That was the reason why when Jesus was born angels proclaimed (Luke 2:10-14), "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!""

God sent His only Son in this world so that we could have great joy and great peace in our hearts. He humbled Himself and was born in a manger. He went to the cross bearing our sins on Himself. He tasted the bitterness of death on the cruel cross just to bring peace in our hearts. But this peace and joy cannot come in our hearts until we invite Jesus in our hearts. Today, Jesus is standing at the door of each and every one of our heats and knocking. Would you let Him in? He says in Revelation 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."

In this Christmas allow Jesus to come in to your hearts and in your home. When He comes in, He will wipe away all your sins and will give you a new life and with this new life you will receive great peace and great joy which you have never experienced in your life before. Today you may be facing great challenges in your life, probably nothing would have worked for you. Probably you might have lost all your hope, all your peace and all your joy. But Jesus is ready to restore your life and ready to give you a new beginning. There is still hope with Jesus. There is still great life ahead for you with Jesus. So do not lose your heart but come to Jesus. He says in Psalms 50:15, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."

We wish all our readers Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2013! May the good Lord be with you and bless you in the coming year.

The Visions, The Dreams And the Supernatural - Part 28

By Sherly Isaac

In this month when we are celebrating Christmas, it reminds us of the beautiful stories about Jesus' birth. In the life of Mary and Joseph on the one side it was joy but on the other side they faced great challenges. There were bitter sweet moments, there were times when their hearts were troubled but God was with them in all those critical moments of their lives. God never left them nor forsake them.

It all started when one day young Mary was visited by an angel. In Luke 1st chapter we read the visions of Mary. An angel came and said to her "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women! But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting that was. Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end." Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?" And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God."

When Joseph heard that Mary was pregnant, he was troubled in his heart and thought to put her away secretly but the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and told him not to divorce her as we read in Matthew 1:18-21, "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.""

When Jesus was born, angels appeared to shepherds as we read in Luke 2:6, "So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger." And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"

When the angels were gone, the shepherds went to see Jesus and they came back rejoicing as we read in Luke 2:20, "Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them."

When Jesus was born it brought great joy to the hearts of people. Those who came to see Him left rejoicing. Even today, when Jesus is born in our hearts, He brings great joy in our hearts. If you have not yet invited Jesus in your hearts, I urge you to please invite Jesus in your heart. I promise you that you will never be the same again. The joy and peace that comes from God is unexplainable, unimaginable, and extremely good and it is not available anywhere else. You can find that only by coming to Jesus.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
