Today I am going to tell you the amazing love story of God, that is, what God did for this dying world. This story started when God created this world. He also created human beings named Adam and Eve and put them in the Garden of Eden. They were happy and were blessed there and they had fellowship with God. God provided them every good blessing in their lives. But one day they sinned against God: they ate the fruit of the tree which was in the midst of the garden. By doing this they brought curse in their lives. Not only did they die spiritually but were also separated from God. They found themselves to be guilty and unable to face God. All their blessings being gone, sorrow, tears, pain and even death came into their lives and in this world.

When they sinned against God, though He got very angry: yet He provided an animal as sacrifice for their atonement or to wipe away their sins by the blood of the animal. Not only that but also God gave them the skin of the animal to hide their nakedness.

Though God helped them to get back to Him but the damage was already done that sin entered in this world along with death and destruction. Animal sacrifice was not a permanent solution to get rid of our sins and so God decided to come into this world Himself to take away our sins.

In Isaiah 53rd chapter we read about the plan of salvation in great detail.
In Isaiah 53:3 we read, "He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him."

When Jesus came in this world, many did not like Him and they despised Him because they did not like light as their works were of darkness. Jesus was beater, spat on the face and was rejected. He went through all the agony and pain which any human being could ever suffer. So today He could not only understand what we are going through but is also able to deliver us from those pains and sufferings. Because Bible tells us in Isaiah 53:4, "Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted."

He went through those sufferings so that we could live a happy and blessed life.

In Isaiah 53:5 we read, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed."

Even before He was put on the cross He started shedding His blood, He was chastised for our peace by the stripes He received for our healing. He paid the price for our peace and our healing. Today we can have great peace, joy and healing in our lives because of Jesus.

Isaiah 53:6-7 tells us that, "All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth."

God laid the inequity of us all on Him. He took all our sins on the cross and shed His precious blood for us so that we could have forgiveness of our sins.

Isaiah 53:8-11 tells us in more detail, "He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked; But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities."

Can you find any such love any where? There is no greater love than the love of God that He gave Himself for us to rescue us from our sins and sufferings. Today you can find peace, joy, eternal life by coming to Jesus.

Those Who Seek The LORD Shall Not Lack Any Good Thing!

By Sherly Isaac

Psalms 34:8-10, "Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing."

Bible tells us that if we trust in the Lord and fear Him He will take care of our needs. Young lions lack and go hungry but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.

Recently I finished reading Dr. P. G. Vargis' book, "Compelled... to Share His Love". In this book he shared the marvelous ways how God provided for him and his family. It was in the early years of his ministry when Bro. P. G. Vargis decided to give up his military service and to serve God full time. In the military he had the guarantee to get three times of meal, warm bed, good education for his children and good life for his family. But when he got saved he could not contain the joy of eternal life to himself and so he gave up his job to preach the Gospel to those who had never heard of it.

So he planned to move to Katra (Kashmir, India) and he went there and took a house for rent. He returned home next day and prepared to move with his wife Lilly and son Aby to Katra.

The following portion is as written in the book by Bro. P. G. Vargis:
"We loaded the inside and top of the bus with our household belongings and ten bundles of gospels, tracts, and booklets for distribution.

I barely had bus fare for two, but after our Sunday worship service the pastor had handed us forty rupees. That had certainly lightened the mental strain because I needed to pay the landlord exactly forty rupees to cover our rent. We had also received some other gifts, and I used some of the money to buy a 50 Kg. (110 lb.) bag of high quality American rice from the military canteen. I thought it might come in handy if food and money became scarce. The very thought of the rice supply helped me breathe a little easier.

After arriving in Katra, we unloaded our things from the bus, and I spent two rupees to buy some milk for Aby. When we were settled in the room I poured some kerosene in the stove and turned to Lilly, "You can give the milk to Aby. And I am really hungry, so please cook some of the rice for me. By the way, we are almost out of money. Its a good thing I bought that rice, or we'd be starving right now."

Lilly stopped in her tracks, her face registering shock. "Rice?" she asked as she stared at me wide-eyed. We frantically searched the room, but the rice sack had seemingly vanished into thin air.

"The rice is still on the top of the bus, we forgot to unload it!" she wailed.

Frantically, I rushed to the bus stop, but no one could give me any information. The buses were on fixed routes that ran weekly, not daily, and that particular bus would not be back for two weeks. I was sure that the rice was lost. I felt like crying. There was hardly any money left. What will we eat? I wondered.

Devastated, I went back to my room, fell prostrate before the Lord on the cold, bare concrete floor, and wept. Immediately the Lord asked me, "Son, didn't you say you trusted in Me and wouldn't store things for the future? Why did you buy a provision of rice and betray your steps of faith?"

Yes, Lord, But I was able to buy some quality rice from the military store," I argued. Even as I spoke, I knew that it was a weak rationalization. I also knew that I had bought the rice as a precaution.... just in case. My plan had failed, and as I lay alone before God, my heart was revealed to me. I prayed for quite some time and asked the Lord to forgive me. Then I pledged, "Like the Israelites, I will gather only enough manna for the day." Then I got up and went to buy some lentils with the last few coins in my pocket.

The next afternoon I went to the bus station, where I sold a few gospel booklets by shouting, "find out how I got peace! Read this book and receive peace!" I was able to sell enough books to buy some more food.

On the twenty-ninth day after arriving in Katra, I took ten-month-old Aby with me to distribute gospel tracts because Lilly wasn't feeling well. As I was passing out tracts, a man came up and started playing with Aby. "Do we know you?" I asked.

He smiled, "You don't remember me? About a month ago I was the driver on the bus that brought you here. Your wife and son were sitting behind me, and this little fellow was imitating me."

I asked him if he knew anything about the bag of rice, but he assured me that he didn't have any idea what I was talking about. I shared my testimony, and he was astonished by my story. He could not understand how a man could give up a good-paying job in the Indian Army and his wife leave a teacher's job to come to Katra to distribute booklets.

Then I said, "If I hadn't lost that bag of rice, it would have fed me for twenty-eight days. But today is the twenty-ninth day and, even without that bag of rice, my family and I haven't gone hungry a single day. My God has taken good care of us for twenty-nine days, and He will take care of me in the future as well."

The driver broke down and told me that the rice was in the conductor's house, unopened. He said he would bring it to me the next day. Sure enough, the next day he was at the bus stop, and I got the bag of rice. I gleefully carried it home on my head, shouting, "Hallelujah to the Lord!" and crying tears of joy the whole way. The Lord had taken away the rice to teach me to depend solely on Him. "

It wasn't a single incident in his life when God took good care of him and his family. He writes that often when they needed dresses and shoes, marvelously packets would arrive in mail or by some other means. And when he needed money to build the Bible College, he got funds in a miraculous way.

Yes, there is almighty God who cares for His children. Have you given your life to Jesus, He will care for you, He will provide for you. Just trust in Him. More than that He promised to give eternal life to those who come to His feet, if you just come to Him, He is ready to give you eternal life.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
