By Sherly Isaac

What do we expect, what our future would be? Sometimes people think that if they have good job, good education, good family and great wealth they would have a bright future. In India every parent seemed to struggle that their kids get higher education whether they have money or not, whether their kids have the capacity to get good marks or not. They would try everything to get them a seat in engineering college or in medical college even by giving thousands of rupees in bribe. Just to see the bright future of their kids.

Education is good, high position is good, having money is good but these things cannot take us to heaven. One day everyone has to die and will have to leave behind their wealth and possessions that they have accumulated. But what is after death? Have you secured a place in heaven? If not, your future is completely in dark.

Back in India, there was a commercial often shown on TV. In that commercial, a small boat was featured which takes people from one shore to another. This small boat needed a man who could row with paddle. One day as he was rowing the boat a passenger asked him a question which I don't remember. The answer was, no, then the passenger said, "it means your one fourth of life is spoiled." When they went further ahead, the passenger asked again almost similar question. The man got annoyed but he calmly replied, "no". Then the passenger said, "it means your half of the life is spoiled." After a few moments, water started leaking into the boat. The rower asked the passenger, "Do you know how to swim?" The passenger said, no. "Ok, then your whole life is spoiled because water is coming in and we need to swim to shore..." replied the boat rower.

Yes, likewise our future is completely dark and we cannot go to the other shore if our sins are not blotted out which separates us from God. Without putting our trust in Jesus our future is not secure.

Recently, we were talking to one of our aunts who said, "The moment you die you will know whether you are going to heaven or hell and before that you cannot know." But I would say that, if you waited until your last breath, it would be toooooo late for you. Because Bible tells us in Hebrew 9:27, "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,"

That is the reason why it is important that we should get forgiveness of our sins before we die. When Jesus was in this world, He once went to eat with a tax collector who repented from his wrong doings. Do you know what Jesus said about him? Jesus said, "Luke 19:9-10, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

My friend: Today is the day, when you can get salvation through Jesus who died for our sins, who gave His precious life for us. You can receive His salvation right where you are by repenting from your sins and inviting Jesus in your life.

Those Who Seek The LORD Shall Not Lack Any Good Thing! -3

You have read in the last week's issue how Bro. Morris Cerello had to loose his house. Here is the continuation of it.

We had lost our house, and because we hadn't come through with the money to buy the house, we had also lost the six-hundred dollar deposit we had paid down on the house.

But at that moment, we didn't care at all. We were together again.

Immediately, I set out once again, traveling and preaching with Theresa and the children accompanying me, going from crusade to crusade, preaching everywhere we were invited.

During that year, God blessed us tremendously - beyond our wildest hopes.

Before my ministry trip to Greece, it had taken us four years to save up enough money for the down payment on that little house. That was four years of clipping coupons, scrimping and saving, doing without the little things (and sometimes the big things.)

After four years, we finally had saved up enough for that little down payment that we eventually used to continue the meetings in Greece.

But this time, the financial blessings of God flowed in so strongly that it only took us a year to save the same amount!

I remembered how much Theresa and I had looked forward to moving into that little dream home of ours, so one day, almost out of the blue, I said to her: "Theresa, you know we should go look in the development where we were going to buy a home."

Theresa had obviously been thinking of something else. She gave me a funny little look that urged me to continue.

"We've got enough to buy or build again," I continued. Let's go see if there isn't another lot in that area."

Theresa liked the idea.

We got into our car and headed toward the neighborhood we had formerly decided to move into, looking for a new lot or a home for sale.

As we drove into the development, which was located in a beautiful, secluded wooded area, we were surprised as we passed by "our house" (the one we had lost).

As we passed by, we were shocked to see a "For Sale" sign in the front yard of "our house".

It was hard to believe that someone had moved and put the house up for sale after only a year. Today, people seem to move more often, changing houses with nary a second glance, but in those days, many people were born and lived in the same house all their lives. It was fairly unusual for someone to buy a house and move away, in just a year.

We decided that we would visit our friend who was the real estate agent and ask him about the house.

Our friend, Jeff Baron (who everyone called "The Real Estate Baron"), was surprised to see us as we walked into his office. He was the agent who had originally sold the house to us, and he had been sad to see that we couldn't get the house at that time.

"Jeff," I said to him, cutting directly to the point. "I see my old house is for sale. What are they asking for it?"

Jeff chuckled a bit grinned and looked down at some papers on his desk. Then he looked back at me, still smiling.

"That house is the worst mover we have, " he said, still grinning. "I've got houses selling left and right all around it, but that house," he paused, "we can't sell."

I couldn't believe it. If I understood Jeff correctly, they had never sold our dream house - no one had bought it after we had backed out.

I wanted to clarify.

"You mean you've never sold it?" I asked.

"No," he replied. "We've sold every house all around it. The same builder has been building all over that development, and his houses are selling like hotcakes, but no one seems to want your house."

"Jeff," I said, looking him directly in the eye and trying to keep a straight face, "how would you like to get rid of that lemon?"

We talked and negotiated for a few minutes. I didn't want to part with more of the money God had blessed us with than I absolutely had to. Every penny I saved was another penny I could put into the work God had called me to.

After a few minutes, Jeff stopped.

"Look," he said. "I'll tell you what I'll do. If you're interested in buying the house, I'll go back to the owners and see what they will do. The houses in that development have gone up in price an average of $3,000."

I didn't want to pay $3,000 more, but I didn't tell Jeff that. I wanted to wait and see what God would do.

It wasn't too long until Jeff called me, sounding a bit surprised.

"Rev. Cerullo," he said. "I can't believe it, but the developers said if you want that house, they'll sell it to you for the old price you built it for a year ago."

I began rejoicing in my spirit, but Jeff was not done.

"Plus," he said, still sounding like he was having a hard time believing what he was saying, "they will even give you back your $600 deposit you lost last year when you couldn't go through with the deal."

Jeff couldn't believe it, but Theresa and I could. We understood that we serve a miracle-working God. We rejoiced when we found out that we would be able to buy our little dream home despite the fact that we had given the money we had reserved for it into the ministry.

We learned a powerful lesson that day - a lesson that would stick with us for the rest of our lives: When we give to God, He is faithful to give back, and bless us beyond our most fervent imagination and hope. The thing you sacrifice to God, God will give back to you.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
