Philippians 3:12-14, "Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."Apostle Paul says that he moves forward forgetting past things. At times we forget this simple rule and spend so much of our time thinking over the past, mostly reminding ourselves those hurtful and painful memories of events which we had in our past. And we develop some kind of grudge also thinking, 'so and so did this to us or spoke harshly to us....' Of course those things do not allow us to move forward but pull us back. When an athlete runs forward his goal needs to be to focus on his final destination instead of getting distracted by what he sees on the way. If he is distracted, if he looks back or if he wavers from his way, he would be disqualified and will be out of the race. Exactly that's what happens in our spiritual walk with God. Some people think that once you are saved, there is no need to care about anything else thinking that any how you are going to heaven but that is not true. If you are not careful enough to walk in holiness, you can be disqualified in the race. That's why it is important to reserve time everyday to spend time with God. David says in Psalms 119:9-11, "How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You!"The word of God has power to keep you clean and holy. The word of God has power to keep you centered in the will of God. The more we read the word of God, the more we can understand what we have to do and what we should not do. The word of God is lamp to our feet to lead us to a holy life. Apostle Paul says, "I press toward the goal for the prize..." In the Old Testament Moses had many reasons to have been disappointed and get out of the calling God had for him. His success did not come overnight, but the battle was hard, long battles against witch doctors and with the king of Egypt and his army. Every time he came out of the palace after meeting the king asking him to let the Israelites go, his problems increased many fold. Not only did he face terrible disappointments from the king and his army but also from his own people. But every time, Moses went to the Lord, fell before Him and asked for a solution. His problems did not disappear overnight but yes, God provided solutions, sometimes sooner and sometimes a little later. But finally a day came when he and his people got complete deliverance. Had Moses given up in between, he would never have been able to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. My friend, no matter what comes on your way, if you trust God, and if your focus is on Him, He will lead you to victory after victory. Small disappointments and set backs cannot kill your dreams or the task that God has entrusted to you. Moses is a perfect example for us how we can fully trust in the mighty power of God who leads His children to victory, who would never fail. If you have given your life to Jesus, your life is in the mighty hand of Jesus and nothing can harm you. Jesus Himself will protect you and keep you safe. Psalmist says in Psalms 48:14, "For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death."

When the fullness of Holy Spirit comes He brings gifts with Him. Bible talks about the nine gifts of Holy Spirit. These are: 1. Gift of tongues, 2. Gift of Faith, 3. Gift of healing, 4. Interpretation of tongues, 5. Gift of prophecy, 6. Word of wisdom, 7. Word of Knowledge, 8. Working of miracles, 9. Gift of discernment. 1 Corinthians 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:1 Corinthians 12:8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,1 Corinthians 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,1 Corinthians 12:10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.1 Corinthians 12:11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.These nine gifts are given to those who are filled with Holy Spirit. Verse 11 says that Holy Spirit distributes these gifts to each person individually as He wills. So you can have one gift, more than one gift or all of the nine gifts. These are supernatural gifts. It can't operate in the natural or you can't see it in every person. These gifts are very unique and they work in different ways. Gift of prophecy gives you prophecy. Gift of healing brings healing and deliverance in the lives of people. Gift of faith brings extraordinary faith when it is needed and through this faith you can move mountains. This faith is not an ordinary faith which we see in this world. Natural faith allows you to sit on a chair without checking it for safety or panicking. When you sit on a chair you never give an extra thought whether this chair will fall or hold you. When you see a chair you just sit on it that is natural faith. But here the Bible is not talking about that natural faith but it is all about supernatural faith, for example the faith which helped Moses to part the red sea and Peter to heal the man at the gate called "beautiful". In the same way the gift of discernment helps to see the presence of demons. Gift of wisdom and gift of knowledge are also not natural ones but supernatural. Natural wisdom and knowledge gives us knowledge about people and we can understand things of this world but the supernatural wisdom and knowledge helps us to see in the spirit realm which only God can do and He gives that ability to those who have the gift of wisdom and gift of knowledge who can look in the spirit realm. This ability to look in the spirit realm is hidden to ordinary people. There are two kinds of the supernatural. One is good supernatural and the other is evil supernatural. Evil supernatural is operated by the devil and demons which is called witchcraft and occult practices. Evil supernatural is done to do evil in other's lives and it is operated by demons and satan. Good supernatural is operated by God (Jesus) and it is the good one which we are talking about here. Good supernatural brings healing, deliverance and goodness in the life of others and it is done by Jesus. So the gifts of Holy Spirit enables simple human beings to operate in the supernatural level to bring goodness in the life of people. When you are filled with Holy Spirit and the gifts of Holy Spirit you can bring blessings not only in your own life but also in other's lives too and Jesus uses us for that. When we read the story of Elisha in the Bible we find that he was a prophet of God and he was filled with double portion of the Holy Spirit of Elijah. Many mighty miracles happened through his life. Since he was a prophet he used to hear from God and he knew what was happening in the enemy camp. Bible says that he could tell what the king of another country talked in his bed room and planed to do to fight against Israel.2 King 6:9 And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, "Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there."2 King 6:10 Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice.2 King 6:11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, "Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?"2 King 6:12 And one of his servants said, "None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom."When it happened the king of Syria got upset and he wanted to kill Elisha. So he sent his troop to catch him and kill him. 2 King 6:13 So he said, "Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him." And it was told him, saying, "Surely he is in Dothan."2 King 6:14 Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.2 King 6:15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"When Elisha's servant Gehazi saw the army surrounding them he was very afraid and he said, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" He thought that they are going to perish but Elisha was calm and quiet. He was not panicking at all. What was the secret of it? He saw a vision and he knew what God was doing to protect him. Here is that vision:2 King 6:16 So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."2 King 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.You can't mess with a prophet right? It is not that easy. You could catch ordinary people but not people like Elisha who can hear from Jesus constantly. When the army of his enemy came to catch Elisha, God of the Bible sent His mighty army of fire to protect Elisha. God do send His angles to protect His people. Ok back to the point, God opened the spiritual eyes of Elisha and he could see in the spirit realm. Elisha saw in the spirit realm what his servant could not see. That's what happens when the Gifts of Holy Spirit operates in our life. With our spiritual eyes, with the help of Holy Spirit, we can see what we cannot see with our physical eyes.I was attending a meeting. There were only few people there as the meeting was just started. I was praying and my eyes were closed. Suddenly I heard foot steps and I saw a shadow passing by. I thought that somebody came in the meeting and so I opened my eyes to see who came. But there was none. I wondered what were the foot steps I heard and the shadow I just saw. I again closed my eyes and prayed and asked Lord Jesus to show me what that meant. Then I saw a vision which really startled me. I saw that a demon was sitting there where people are supposed to sit. Then only I knew that I saw in my spirit what the natural eyes could not see. Then I rebuked the demon and commanded him to go in hell in Jesus name and the demon left. The demon walked toward the door and went out and disappeared. No wonder why miracles do not happen in meetings because it is controlled by demons and they do not allow people to get saved or to get healed. They either obstruct those blessings to some extent or totally block them from happening. Another time I was attending a prayer meeting. The preacher who came to preach was not saved I knew it. I prayed to figure out what he was up to. As I was praying Lord again opened my spiritual eyes to see. I saw a vision which was more startling than the first one. I saw this man was sitting and behind him there was a demon standing. The demon was pouring some thing on his head and it looked as if this man was totally lost in the presence of this demon. It looked as if he was gaining some kind of power or help from that demon. It tells you two scenarios. 1. He is a witch-crafter himself or 2. He was controlled by the devil. You can understand that when a preacher is totally controlled by the devil he/she can't bring any blessings to people. Since the devil never blesses anybody but destroys so what blessings can you expect from such preaching? I rebuked this demon and commanded it to go to hell fire in Jesus name. The demon ran out and it was running away and away along the road. I could see it going far away till he vanished. In the same way if you have the gifts of Holy Spirit you can pray for individual people and figure out what hinders them from coming to salvation and which demons are working behind them and you can bring deliverance into their life. The name of Jesus has such power that any demon would flee away. By asking in the name of Jesus we can get rid of many of our problems and sicknesses. Jesus' name is so sweet a name that brings healings, miracles and deliverance in our life. We can get rid of our sins and sinful bad habits through Jesus' precious name. Isn't it wonderful? Whatever problems you are facing today ask in Jesus name and you will see things changing in your life.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
