Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. (Isa 60:1) Some days back somebody forwarded a mail saying that her daughter who was drug addict turned to Christ and came out from drugs and all the bad habits but they joined a church that does not believe medicines. They believe that children should not go to school and only study at home etc.... finally her daughter died with cancer in young age. Many people hold to their own doctrines and declare that what they say is correct. They never want to see in the light of the Word and judge whether what they say is correct or not? After coming to Christ it is necessary to come out from the world but it does not means that we should go to a lonely place and sit alone cut off from the world. As Paul wrote in 1 Cor 5:9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 1 Cor 5:10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world." But it means that we should turn from our old ways and come out from the darkness of our lives and walk in the light. In the path of holiness, in the path of righteousness. Yes, We can lead a holy life in this world itself. As psalmist says in Psa 119:105 , "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path." We should read the Word of God and meditate upon them so that we should walk in His holy ways. If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. We will pray for you. John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke tothem again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." Jesus came into this world to pull us out from the darkness and give us light of life. He wants that our lives should be lightened up with His truth. If we read in John 9:1-7, we can see a story of a Blind man, "Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. "I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work."As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" So he went and washed, and came back seeing." When Jesus was in this world He opened the eyes of many blind people and today also we don't realize that we are born spiritually blind and we need light of life for our lives. As we read in John 1:9-11,"That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him." We are not prepared to recognize the true light which can give us light. But Bible says in John 1:12 ,"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:" If we read the story of Paul in Acts. 9, we can see that He was persecuting those who wanted to follow Christ but on the way to Damascus he met with Christ and he got the true light and his whole life changed. He was turned from his old ways and started proclaiming the word of God. Yes, Jesus wants to give us a life which is full of light, and a holy life, that's why He came in this world and gave His precious blood on the cruel cross to save us from our sins. If we open our hearts and invite Him in our lives He will come and dwell in our heart and lighten our lives.May God bless you!!
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
