EDITORIAL
For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.(1 Cor 1:26-28) God does not want our ability but He wants our availability. If we look in the life of Moses we can see that he had no ability of leadership, he was a stammerer as Bible says in Exo 4:10-12 Then Moses said to the LORD, "O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue." So the LORD said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? "Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say." And the same people who said to Moses that Who made you a prince and a judge over us?" ( Exo 2:14) Moses became the ruler and judge over them as the Bible says in Acts 7:35 "This Moses whom they rejected, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?' is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush." Yes, my friend, You may be thinking that, "I have no ability, I can't do this or that, I am a useless fellow.......If you are thinking so... you are the person most suitable for God. And there is nothing impossible with God. He can make you a great person as He did for Moses!!" In this Issue read a life story of Bro. Michael. How God saved him and his marriage. God is Able
I remember when I met Jesus! It was 1976, and, a very difficult time in my life. There were plenty of hard times but I guess the accumulation over the years finally caught up with me. My wife and I were going through a divorce, and, at the time, our son was only seven years old. It was the second most painful experience I had ever felt. Though I'm sure the others around us felt it too, especially my son. I was not a stranger to pain at all. It seemed to be a part of an inheritance or something. From birth on my life has been a challenge of which I've always faced head on. Not that I was tough or hard but I never gave up! I was raised by a loving mother but a very physical and verbally abusive father. Most of what he did to me I don't remember, but of four children his cruelties were directed toward me more than the others. By the time I was seven years old my parents had divorced. At such a young age I don't really think I knew what was going on. One day we moved, but dad didn't go with us. That's how it appeared to me. The following summer my mom married again. We all liked the guy, he was nice. Later that year he and my mom were arrested for selling marijuana, they both went to prison. He for twelve years and my mom for three. I'll never forget the day she was taken away. It took three adults to pry me from her leg. I just wouldn't let go. My older brother and I went to a foster home and my younger brother and sister went to live with dad. I guess I'll always wonder why my dad or any relative let me go to a foster home. It was not a good place. We provided them with labor and the state provided them with a check every month. One thing that sticks in my mind is even during my childhood years I always knew there was a God. It was something I felt deep within. I used to talk to God in my troubled times or whenever I was alone. When mom finally got out of prison I was so glad to see her. The sad part was that three years had put a kind of gulf between all of us. At this time I was becoming a teenager with a lot of unknown angers about to be revealed. Upon returning to our hometown to settle in again, it felt so good to see old friends. We all looked different after three years. Eventually I would begin to lose my friends because their parents didn't want them hanging around with an "ex-cons kid." It just didn't seem fair to me. What had I done? Besides, mom paid for her mistake. Since dad never came around and there was no man in my life to guide or direct me, I was beginning to run wild.To be Continued in next issue.......

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 9th Dec. 2008
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 11th Nov. 2008
