God said to Abraham in Gen 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Gen 17:15-16 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her." If we read in the Bible we can see that whatever God said, He fulfilled all those things in due time. He gave promise to Abraham at that time when he had no child and he and Sarah were very old and there was no hope for them that they could have a child, but God gave Abraham promise of not only a child but he gave the promise that he shall be a father of many nations. It was impossible and unthinkable in their sight. But we can see the promise was fulfilled in due time. As the Bible says in Psa 105:42-44 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness." Yes, He is a God who fulfills all His promises. If we read in Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also Jesus said in John 16:7, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." And we can see that He fulfilled His promise in Acts 2:1-4 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Today also He is fulfilling His promises. I have seen so many little children getting filled with Holy Spirit. Dear friend, Why not you? Ask God and He will fill you with His Holy Spirit and Power as Bible says in Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Yes, my friend, get the Holy Spirit from God and prepare yourselves for the coming king whose coming is at the door. If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. Good Gifts come from God
Psa 84:11, "No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." The Psalmist says here that if we walk uprightly, we will not lack any good thing in our lives. Today we will look to two people from the Bible who walked uprightly in the ways of God and God blessed their lives with all goodness and riches and made them prosperous. Look to the life of King David. He was a shepherd boy, but God was with him and he became famous. And Saul the king of Israelite became his enemy. Even David says in 1 Sam 20:3 And David sware moreover, and said to Jonathan, "Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death." Many times I wonder that a king of a nation could not touch a shepherd boy and could not do any harm till the end of his life. He had power, he had everything but he could not catch David because God saved his life and protected him all his days and we can see that God blessed his life and made him prosperous as the Bible says in 2 Sam 12:7-8 And Nathan said to David, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; And I gave thee thy master's house, ..... and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little,I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things." Wherever he went God gave him victory, whatever he did God blessed those things. Why? Because he walked in His holy ways. David lived a life pleasing to God. And also the Bible says in 1 Chr 29:28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead." And if we look in the life of Joseph we can see that he was beloved in his family. He dreamed some dreams and because of that his brethren envied him. And they planned to kill him as the Bible says in Gen 37:19-20 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams." But finally they sold him to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver. And they brought Joseph into Egypt." Joseph became a slave within a day, he lost the comfort of his home, he lost the love of his father, he lost his country and came to a strange place. He might have thought that the good days of his life are over. He might have thought he may not be able to see his family members again. But the Bible says in Gen 39:2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian." But what happened to this prosperous man? Soon he was put into prison for not a genuine reason. But God was with him and one day He made Joseph, prime minister of that nation. And Bible says that he could see all his family members again. Yes, my friend, may be you are in this same situation, you may be thinking that every thing is over and that life may come to an end without any useful purpose. But look to Jesus, He says, "No good thing will I withhold from them that walk uprightly." May God bless you!!

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 13th May. 2008
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 13th May. 2008
