Soon we are going to celebrate Good Friday and Easter, but many of us are broken hearted because of our problems, because of sicknesses, because of day today tensions. Many of us are burdened with heavy load of sins and guilt. For 40 days we tried to live a holy life, we avoided some eating and drinking habits, but after Good Friday all these things will start again, now what is the use of avoiding for some days only? Well, My dear friend, I want to tell you that Jesus died once and took all our sins, sorrows, pain and bitterness on the cross, and He rose from the dead on the 3rd day so we need not to be in our poor, downtrodden, shameful, painful and sorrowful state anymore. He is very much alive today to help us. He is very much alive today to deliver us. He is very much alive today to hear our cry. No matter what may be your situation, look to Him. He said, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) Yes, tell Him all your sins, all your guilt, all your sorrows, all your pains, all your bitterness, all your sickness. He will make you whole because He understands you. He knows what is sin, what is pain, what is sorrow? He can help you. Come to the Cross of Calvary from where the fountain of pure blood is flowing, that can wipe away all your past, that can wipe away all your tears. Isaiah 53:4, "Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows." Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin,He took our grief and sorrow: All these verses say about what Jesus did on the Cross. First thing He did, He did bear our griefs and carried our sorrows. It means He took all our griefs and sorrows upon Him. Jesus took all our griefs and sorrows upon Him and we need not to carry it anymore. If you are going through grief and sorrow, go to Jesus and give it to Him, He will gladly take it from you.He took all our sins and Iniquities: Second thing, if we read in Isaiah 53:5 it says that, "He was wounded for your transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities." Yes, He took the wound and bruises of our transgressions and of our iniquities that can not be washed by any means, but only by His pure and innocent blood. Every Sunday we sing this song, "The lamb of God who takest away the sins of the world...." But did you ever go to Christ and confessed your sins and asked forgiveness of your sins? If not you are carrying your sins yourself when you need not to carry it yourself anymore.For our peace He was chastised: Third thing, if we read in Isaiah 53:5 it says, " Chastisement for our peace was upon Him." He went through all these situations for our peace, to give us peace, perfect peace that can not be described by the words. My dear friend, He wants to give the Peace that passeth all understanding. No matter what may be your situation, you could live a life full of peace in the midst of worst storms in your life.By His stripes we are healing: Many people think if we are sick, it is God's will. No, God wants us to be healed and be healthy and live an abundant life, that's why the Bible says, "And by His stripes we are healed." He took all our sicknesses on the cruel cross. My dear friend, He did all this thing for me and for you. If you have not got forgiveness of sins, peace of mind, healing from your sicknesses, come to Jesus. Confess your sins to God and say I am a sinner, Please wash me with Your precious blood. And He will do this for you gladly. He will make you a new person, He will fill you with His peace that passeth all understanding and He will heal your body. Amen
In John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live." "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" In this verse we read that Lord Jesus is the resurrection and the life. and whoever believes in Him shall never die. Do you believe in Lord Jesus ? Do you say that you love God ? Have you ever given your heart to Lord Jesus ? Have you ever come to the personal relationship with Jesus, where you can say boldly that "He is my Lord, He is my father ?" Let me tell you just being born in a Christian family can not make you a child of God. You may be in a Christian home. You may have Christian name, that's fine but it will not make you a Christian. Remember a kitten born in a garage can not be a car. Let me say again, Christianity is not a religion, but an experience with the living savior. Acts 11:26 ".........And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch." Here it is very clear that only disciples were called Christians and not everybody. Now the question is who is a disciple of Christ ? Only the person who is saved and washed by the blood of the lamb (Jesus). Hebrew 9:22 "And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission." 1 John 1:7 "........... and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." We are going to celebrate one more Good Friday and Easter. You might have celebrated several Good Fridays and Easter, but do you know the Savior personally? Think about it Lord Jesus left His heavenly glory and came into this world just to save you and me. Have you ever thought of the value of Cross ? How much Lord Jesus suffered for you and me. When He was in the garden of gethsemane, he was in such an agony that His sweat become blood. Luke 22:44 "And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground." Here His agony did not end, but they beat Him, they spit on His face. They mocked Him and nailed Him to the Cross. Isaiah 53:2 -3" For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him."Why? because of our sins. because of my and your sins He suffered. Isaiah 53:4 -6 "Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Yes, only because of you and me He suffered all this pain and agony to save you and me. Have you been rejecting Him till today ? Have you despised His precious blood till today? Come to Calvary's Cross and get this great redemption. Say to the Lord I am sorry for my sin. Because of my sin and only for my sins you suffered, I am so sorry. I don't want to reject you anymore, I don't want to reject that great sacrifice anymore. I don' t want to despise you master, but I come to accept you as my Lord and Savior. Here after you are my Lord, you are my master. Accept Him today my friend and I challenge you, you will never be the same again. You will receive the joy which the world cannot give. Take Him as your Savior. A beautiful song is there, I want to write some lines for you.On a hill far away an old rugged cross,The emblem of suffering and shame; And I love that old cross where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain.O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,Has a wondrous attraction for me;For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above,To bear it to dark Calvary.In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine, A wondrous beauty I see; For it was on that old cross Jesus suffered and died, To pardon and sanctify me. So I'll cherish the old rugged crossAnd it is a hope for a believer. To the old rugged cross I will ever be true,Its shame and reproach gladly bear;Then He'll call me some day to my home far away, Where His glory for ever I'll share. So I'll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old rugged cross, And exchange it some day for a crown.May God bless you and help you on this Good Friday and Easter time to know the Lord Jesus as your Savior and master.
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
