Prov 22:15 Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him. Prov 13:24 He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly." If we read 1 Sam. Chapter 2 and 3 it says about the sons of priest Eli. Because he did not stop them from the way they were going God's punishment came upon them as Bible says in 1Sam 2:12 ,"Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the LORD." And also God said about Eli in 1Sam 3:13 "For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them." Many times people think that when their children will grown up they will learn the things themselves and they never care about them. But Bible says in Prov 23:14 You shall beat him with a rod, And deliver his soul from hell. And also Bible says in Prov 29:15 The rod and rebuke give wisdom, But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother." " My dear parents if your children go astray from God, you are responsible for them. Think for a moment where you are standing today and where your children are? Psa 32:1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Rom 4:7 "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered;" Bible says that if a person's sins are covered and transgression is forgiven he/she is a blessed person. How can a person get rid of his/her sins? Bible says in Isa 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool." David cries to God and says in Psa 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." Yes, Only Jesus can make us clean and make us sin free. He came in this world to save sinners as Bible says in Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." If you think that you have done so much sin and there is no hope for you.... but you are the most qualified person to be saved. And He saves us because He loves us as Bible says in Deu 7:7 "The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples. Yes, He covers all our sins with His love as Bible says in Song 2:4, "He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love." Bible says in Song 2:2 , "Like a lily among thorns, So is my love among the daughters." If you are His children, His love will be with you In the midst of problems, in the midst of troubles in the midst of tears He gives us strength to smile. Once a man of God was working in a particular office and one day suddenly he was kicked off from his job. His heart was broken and he could not understand, why this happened to him. He came home with broken heart. His wife asked what happened. He said, "I lost my job but the peace that passes all understanding is with me." After some days he got a very good job! Yes, my friend, look to Jesus, He will never fail you.
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
