"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10) What is the meaning of life? Do you not have life? When Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life." It means something dead in us. Let us see what that is. Our whole being is made up of three parts, soul, mind and body. Body is that which we see and it seems every thing is OK, it is alive. But there is another thing inside every person that is soul. God said to Adam in Genesis 2:17, "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." People think that Adam and Eve did sin, but nothing happened. They lived many more years after that. Yes they lived physically, but they were dead spiritually. They died instantaneously in their soul as they disobeyed the commandment of God. It was a spiritual death not physical. Their relationship with God broke, so that they could no longer have fellowship with God. Yes, Our soul is dead because of sin. That’s why Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Jesus came to this world to give us not only life but abundant life - a life full of joy, peace and happiness. He came to this world and shed His precious blood to repair the broken link between mankind and God, the link that was broken because of our sins. He came to this world to give life to our lifeless souls. His precious blood is available today for the remission of our sins. If we humble ourselves and repent from our sins, He will surely cleanse us and give us abundant life that can not be described by words. I have seen many people having every thing in their lives, but no smile on their faces. They are always filled with worry, anxiety and fear. If you go and talk to that type of people for a few moments, you will also be filled with worry. If you are worried all the time how can you enjoy life? If you have any sickness, how can you live without worry or lead a happy life? I have even seen many who if they have little headache, they will say, "It seems I have tumor in my brain… will I die?" God never wants you to be in that miserable state. That’s why Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Are you in this miserable state today? Look to Jesus. He wants to give you a worry free life, a happy and healthy life. Yes, and it is only possible with Jesus.If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. You may be wondering what does it mean by spiritual journey? Yes it is the real journey without which no man can reach heaven. You may be thinking, "I am already in a Christian family. Why should I need it. I am already having it. I have been hearing about Lord Jesus, about Bible from my childhood and so on.... But Bible says very clearly in Mathew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" Yes many are there who think that they know Lord Jesus but alas they do not know Him. They heard about Him, they read about Him many times, but still they are away from Him. I heard one story once. Some people were traveling in ship. Suddenly they were caught up in the middle of big storm and they were not able to reach the shore. They were struggling hard to get out of it but they lost their way. And days passed and there food and water were exhausted. Finally when rescue team reached nearby they cried out we are dying due to thirst, we do not have water to drink. Please give some water first. They were surprised and said "dip your bucket in sea and you will have it" Actually they thought that the sea water may be salty to drink. But the location where they were caught up was the mouth of Amazon River where fresh water extended up to 200 miles in to the sea. The same situation is here the great salvation is available for everybody, but many do not receive it because they are ignorant of it. Many think, that "I am in a Christian family, I am going to Church regularly, I am taking active part in Church, I am doing this, this and that....so I am a very spiritual or pious person". No sir!!! It is nothing but social work. You need a new start a spiritual start which can make you eligible to reach heaven. You have been hearing about Jesus for a long time, but that is not enough, you need Jesus Himself. You need Him as your personal Savior, you need Him as your redeemer, you need Him as the Lord of your life. It is not too hard. A simple prayer which comes deep down from heart brings you to that experience. A simple prayer, "Lord I need a place in heaven, I want to get rid of my sins, I want forgiveness of my sins". That's it.....Yea it is so simple isn't it? Have you ever done this type of prayer in your life? Have you ever realized that you are a sinner and that you need a Savior? Have you ever thought about your life after death? Have you ever seriously considered that eternity is too long a period? Have you ever realized that after death your soul goes to only one place it is either HEAVEN or HELL. Think about it. Where you want to spend your eternity? It is upto you. It is a free choice given by God. God is a good God. He never forces anybody to do something. But He wants to save everybody from hell fire. That's why He did not even spare His only son Jesus, but He sent Him to die for you and me, so that we can come out of our sin and have eternal life in Him. This is the first step of spiritual journey or a Christian life that a person come to the cross of Calvary, confess his/her sin to the Lord Jesus and receive the free gift of salvation. In John chapter 3 we read about a person called Nicodemus. He was not an ordinary person. He was a Pharisee and a Jew. He was teaching the Jews about laws of God. But one day when he approached Jesus, Lord Jesus said to him? John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Lord did not say to him "Weldon you are doing a great job. You are teaching God's law to people. So you have a sure place in heaven". No, What the Lord said was "unless one is born again, he can not see the kingdom of God." That is the key to reach heaven. You must come to that salvation or born again experience. Without which no man can reach heaven or see the kingdom of God. Do you have such experience that you can say for sure, "one day I was born again, one day I've received Christ into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior?" Can you say that for sure? If not, it is time to get right with God. It is to know Him personally. It is the time to confess your sins before Him.Let us pray: Lord Jesus I heard about you lot of time in my life. Now I do not need to hear about you, but I need you. Please come into my heart, please wash away my sins by thy precious blood shed on Calvary's Cross. Today I receive you as my Lord, today I receive you as my savior. Lord please accept me as your child. Forgive my sins. From now on you are my Lord, you are my everything. I pray in Jesus Precious name. Amen.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
