Jesus’s disciples said to Him, "please send the multitudes away because this is a deserted place that they may go into villages and buy themselves food. But Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away, you give them something to eat." Disciples were puzzled and said, we have only five loaves and two fish but they are more than five thousand men, besides women and children" (Matthew 14:15-25). But when Jesus saw that the people are hungry and it was already night, He was moved with compassion for them. He asked the disciples to bring the five loaves and two fish. When they brought the fish and loaves, He blessed that food and gave it for disciples. Bible says that the food was more than enough for the people. Yes, God wants to meet your needs. He does not sit on the throne and enjoy when you cry in pain, when you are desperately in need of something; but He is moved with compassion. He is a God who cares for you. May be your parents do not care for you. May be you are rejected by all in society, but there is a God who cares for you. You deserve the best things, if you are a child of God. Some years back I read in the newspaper about a girl who was only sixteen years old. She was given in marriage to a 63 years old grandfather because her parents were very poor. Someone did complain and finally the police caught the old man. The parents of that girl had no consideration for her future and about her well being. We read in the Bible that David was considered least in the family. His brothers were in the army of the king and they had status, but David was a poor shepherd boy. When Samuel went to the house of Jesse to select and anoint a king, David was not there. David was not among the invitees but he was shepherding his sheep at the wilderness. When the seven young men of Jesse passed before Samuel then Samuel asked "Are all the young men here?" Then he said, "There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep." And Samuel said to Jesse, "Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here."(1 Samuel 16:11) Yes, my friend, your parents might have treated you differently from your other brothers and sisters but there is a God who does not look in your ability but He looks in your availability. If you are His child and walking in His ways, you deserve the best and one-day God will exalt you as He did for David. David who was least in his family became the king of Israel. His brothers could not get that status, but David could, because he lived a life pleasing to God. My dear young friend, are you feeling rejected by all? Are you desperate that no one loves you and whatever you touch there is failure? Are you thinking there is no hope for you? Look to Jesus and He will move with compassion for you and will change everything in your life. Mothers, are you depressed because your children are not reaching anywhere, not touching the hights? Look to Jesus, He can wipe away all your tears… We wish you all a very happy and blessed mother’s day. Who is Jesus?

Many times I was asked this question, "Who is Jesus? Is Jesus God or a mere man like me and you?" Let us analyze it from the living word of God, "Bible".What is the quality of God?1. Only God can forgive our sins: We read in scripture 2 Chronicles 7:14, "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." And also in Jeremiah 31:34 "No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." Yes, no man in this world has power to forgive your sins but God. If you repent from your sins to God, He will forgive your sins. And when we look in the life of Jesus we can see that Jesus has power to forgive sins as we read in Matthew 9:6, ‘But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"; then He said to the paralytic, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."’ On the other side if we look in the lives of the prophets, we can see that they asked God to forgive people. They had no power to forgive the sins of the people. But Jesus has power to forgive sins.2. God is Holy: Leviticus 19:2 "Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: 'You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy." Holiness is God’s quality. The whole Bible says that God is holy. And when we look in the life of Jesus we can see that Jesus was holy and there is no sin or evil in Him as the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21, "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." Jesus was without sin but became sin for us so that we may come out from our sins and the sinful nature and live a holy life. 3. God has power over life and death: God who created Adam and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life has power to give life and has power to take away life. And when we look in the life of Jesus we can see that Jesus has power over life and death as the Bible says in John 10:17-18, "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father." No one killed Jesus but He gave His life for us so that we may live forever and forever and we may never see the death…4. God has power over evil spirit, sicknesses: Matthew 10:1 And when He had called unto him his twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. And also we read in Bible that Jesus healed all kinds of sicknesses and did cast out the evil spirit and made the people free.5. God is just judge: Bible says that God is the judge and He gives reward to everyone justly. And also the Bible says that Jesus will come again and judge the world as the Bible says in Matthew 16:27, "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works."6. Jesus is Truth, Life and Way to heaven: Bible says that God is life and He is the absolute truth and our salvation; in another words, he is the way. And Jesus claimed that He is the Truth, the life and the way as we read in, John 14:6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."7. God created heaven and earth: God who is almighty created heaven and earth and have power over everything. We read in the life of Jesus that He was the creator of heaven and earth. John 1:3-4, "All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men." All these qualities prove that Jesus is the almighty God and there is no one like Him. He is not an ordinary man but the same God who walked with Enoch, who talked with Moses who led the Israelites in the wilderness, who brought them from the bondage of Egypt and came down in the form of a man to save us from our sins. He took all our sins on the cross and died for us so that we may live forever and forever.
Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 14th Sep. 2010
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 14th Sep. 2010
