Joshua 5:9 Then the LORD said to Joshua, "This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you." Therefore the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day. You may ask what their reproach was? From the outside they were happy, they had nothing to worry about. Each morning they found manna(food) from heaven and they collected it for their food, they were lacking nothing, they had everything for drinking, eating, clothing etc. But as soon as they crossed the Jordan river and reached the promised land, God said, "This day I have rolled away your reproach." Reproach and shame that they were carrying for 40 long years. Reproach and shame of unfulfilled promise of God. They were wandering in the wilderness with reproach and shame. Once all the nations trembled before them but during these past years they wandered in the wilderness as nobody. Yes, they were covered with shame and reproach. Are you in reproach today? Are you covered with shame today and not able to lift your head before others? Are you thinking, "God promised me this and this thing long back but did not fulfill it till this time and because of it I am unable to face this world?" Oh, if you are saying this and broken in your heart, then I want to tell you that God who rolled away all the reproach of Israelites is here today to roll away all your reproach, shame, tears and problems. Just look to Him. If we read in the book of Genesis, 37th chapter, there we see a man called Joseph. One night Joseph saw a dream that, he and his brothers were binding sheaves in the field and the his sheaf arose and also stood upright, and his brothers sheaves stood all around and bowed down to his sheaf.(Genesis 37:7) Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, "Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me." (Genesis 37:9). But what happened to this dreamer? His brothers hated him and sold him to be a slave. Now he is not only a slave in Egypt but also a prisoner sent to jail for no reason. Oh, he might have thought about his dreams that they are not going to be fulfilled anymore. He might have thought, "This is the end of all my good days." He might have thought, "Every thing is over, my future is shattered...." Are you thinking in the same way? Jesus who broke down for me and for you is here today to fulfill all your broken dreams, He is ready to wipe away all your tears. Your future is not shattered but it is in His mighty hands. He will fulfill all His promises in His right time as He did in the life of Joseph. Joseph was not only released from the jail but was lifted up to the position of Governor of Egypt and not only that, when his brothers came to meet him they bowed down before him to the earth in the same way as he saw in his dreams long back. Yes, my friend, may be you are in tears today but look to Jesus, He is ready to wipe away all your tears. He is the same God who says, "This day I have rolled away all your reproach from you. "Now the two of them (Naomi and Ruth) went until they came to Bethlehem. And it happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that all the city was excited because of them; and the women said, "Is this Naomi?" But she said to them, "Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. "I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty."(Ruth 1:19-21) Here we see how Naomi went from Bethlehem with her husband and with her two sons and how she is returning home without her husband and without her sons. They died in that foreign land and when Naomi returned to her own land, people got excited. But Naomi says, "do not call me Naomi but call me Mara." Naomi means pleasant but Mara means bitter or bitterness. Why did she say that? Because she was filled with bitterness. Not only was her future shattered but her two daughters in law’s future were also shattered. And it seems that Ruth and Orpah did not have any children. And according to their custom if husband died and husband had no brother, then there was no further chance of marriage for that woman. Oh, their future appeared to be dreary full of darkness before them, their dreams were broken. They went full but they came back empty. My dear friend, are you going through the same situation today? Are you thinking that, "my dreams are broken, my future is shattered, I am filled with bitterness, I have no hope for future?" Are you thinking so? If so, 2000 years ago, Jesus took all your bitterness, all your sorrows, all your pain, all your guilt on the cruel cross to give you a life full of peace, joy and happiness. Look to Him, He is ready to wipe away all your tears. When Israelites went into the wilderness from Egypt they came before the red sea and when they looked back they saw that the great Egyptian army is behind them. They felt so much afraid that they thought that, it was the end of their lives. They thought, that there was no way out. Are you thinking that there is no way out? Are you thinking that, "you are at the dead end?" But see how Moses reacted in this situation. He said in Exodus 14:13, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever." And if we read further we can see that God made a way in the midst of the sea. He divided the red see and made a way out of no way. The same mighty God is very much alive today to solve your problems and make a way for you where there is no way. May God bless you!

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
