In the book of Exodus we read about the sufferings of the Israelites and the birth of Moses. Moses was born and brought up in an environment of persecution of the Israelites they being accused falsely. He was raised at such a time when the Israelites were being discriminated and when they did not have any freedom. And the Bible says in Exodus 2:11-12, "Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren. So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand."

Though Moses was raised by Pharaoh’s daughter, his nurse was his own mother who was a levite.

And he had the heart having sympathy for his own people. He could not see them suffering, he could not see them in pain and so his anger arose against the Egyptian whom he killed. Many of us are like Moses. Many of us are raised in Christian homes and brought up by Christian parents. We have knowledge of the doctrines and rituals of Christianity and even we know the Bible. We have head knowledge and concern for our own people but many of us do not know who God is and what He can do in our lives.

But something happened in Moses’ life and His life dramatically changed. We read in Exodus 3:1-4, "Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn." So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am."

Yes, "Moses, met God" and it changed his life and his way of thinking. The same Moses who is of hot temperament, when he led the Israelites and when God got angry with them, he pleaded with God as we read in Exodus 32:9-11, "And the LORD said to Moses, "I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people! "Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation." Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God, and said: "LORD, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?"

A man who in his anger killed the Egyptian but how his thinking and perspective have changed and is now pleading for the Israelites, that God may not destroy them. Yes, my friend, you may know your rituals very well but it is not enough to earn Salvation. For the experience of salvation you must come to the spot where you can meet God. Moses’ life changed when He met God. And it happens to a person when he/she meets God. If you have not yet a personal relationship with God, this is the time and this is the day of your salvation. Repent from your sins and invite Jesus in your life and you will never be the same again. Instead of thinking to destroy others, you will then start pleading to God for them.

Today millions and millions of souls are marching towards hell fire. Who will plead for them? Do you have a heart to pull your brothers and sisters from the burning fire of hell? Will you reach out and save those souls who are heeding towards eternal death and destruction? Will you, my friend, will you?

If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. We will pray for you.

Pressing Toward the Goal

By Sherly Isaac

In Philippians 3:12-15 Paul says, "Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you."

Hear Paul wants to forget those things which are behind and to reach forward to those things which are ahead. Sometimes we think and think about our past life or past experiences which may not only be painful but discouraging. The more we think the more it makes us upset. Very often we forget that thinking over the things which are behind can harm us. Israelites did the same thing. They complained and murmured against God and brought the wrath of God in their lives. Numbers 11:5-6, "We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; "but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!"

They did not appreciate the heavenly food, manna and started thinking about their old days when they had fish, cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and the garlic. They forgot the sufferings and pain through which they went when they were in Egypt. Instead of praising God for the deliverance and mighty deeds which God did in their lives, they started cursing God. And it never brought anything good in their lives. Many died because of this and many could not reach the Promised Land.

Before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah the angel warned Lot saying, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed." (Genesis 19:17) But Lot’s wife could not resist herself to look back and when she looked back she became a pillar of salt as we read in Genesis 19:25-26, "So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt."

Why should we look back and bring the wrath of God in our lives. Instead let us reach forward to those things which are ahead of us as Apostle Paul said, let us "press toward the goal".

Yes, whatever might have happened, let us forget the past and look forward because there is a better tomorrow for those who love Him. Forget the past and trust God because there is a glorious future waiting for you. Forget the past and press toward the goal that is set by Lord Jesus Christ and there is blessed reward for those who work for Him.

As we have entered in this New Year, let us have this vision before us, forgetting the past and pressing towards a bright future.

Praise Him....

The editorial of In Search of Peace of this week gave me a lot of consolation and I was really encouraged. Today morning I was thrown into such a depressed state when I came to know that I lost an order worth 800,000 for which I toiled and followed up for more than a month. When the news came to me I straight away came home and I opened my Computer to receive the In Search of Peace and God spoke to me through your editorial.

Yes... He gives us peace which surpassess all understandings. Thank you and we pray that God may use you even more mightily in the days to come.

With love
Reji

Thank you so much for this part in your newsletter. It's such an encouragement really! Because I have been praying for an unsaved friend and it SEEMS to be to no avail. But everyday God keeps building my faith up that this friend will get saved. Also the past few days He's been showing me more and more things. And this part of your newsletter was EXTREMELY encouraging. thank you so much. God bless you!

**3. He is going to have a great harvest:

This year is going to make history in the spiritual world because God is moving mightily and He is preparing His people for a great harvest. If you are a servant of God and thinking that, all these years you had worked very hard to bring harvest to the kingdom of God but got very few converted in comparison to your work be assured that this year you are going to get heaps of harvest. Seeds were sown from many years with tears but those who sowed the seed could not see this great harvest. They hoped to see this great harvest but could not. But this is the generation that is going to see the greatest harvest of the whole human history has not yet seen. **

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
