John 5:24, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

Jesus’ whole life was dedicated to warn people about eternal death or hell fire. And that was the reason He came down to save us. Why God should come down to save us? Many think that we can achieve heaven by our own effort or by our good works. But it is not at all possible. For example: suppose a person who does not know swimming is drowning in the deep waters, how is it possible that he can come out by his own effort? He needs an outside help of a person who can swim to pull him out and make him stand on the river bank. In a similar way we are drowning in deep water of sin. We have the sinful nature in us and we can not come out of our sins or sinful nature by our own efforts.

The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." And also the Bible says in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Yes, we are in sin and because of our sinful nature we are heading towards eternal death as the wages of sin is death. That’s why we need a savior who can save us from the deep sea of sin, sicknesses, problems and tears and redeem us. Who is capable of doing this? No other than Jesus who died for us. He took all our sins on the cross and shed His precious blood for the remission of my sins and your sins. He was despised and rejected for our sake. He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows. He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.(Isaiah 53:4-5)

My dear friend you may be going through much problems, tears and sorrows today. Or you may be unable to come out from your sinful nature, or you may not be able to forget your past sinful life. May be your sickness is killing you and may be you are in tears. May be your debt is eating your peace and may be you are unable to figure out how to come out of all these problems? You might have thought, "there is no hope for me. Who will help me in this situation?" Jesus has answer for all of your questions. He can solve your problem. No matter what your problem is, look to Him and ask for His help. The Bible says in Psalms 22:5, "They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed."

Yes, Jesus went through all the pain, sorrow, mockery, tears and even death just to deliver us from our pain, sorrow, tears and even death- eternal death. And give us abundant life - eternal life.

Some days back one of my friend forwarded the article, "President-Elect Bush Leads Teenager to Christ". I was thrilled reading this article. What a blessing that our next president is a man of God who loves Jesus Christ with all His heart. May God bless him and give him His wisdom for effective administration.

President-Elect Bush Leads Teenager to Christ

Note from Bill:

The following is from Dennis Lake of the Coalition of Churches prison ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church, Plano, Texas:

There is a man in our church, Jeff Benoit, who has a friend who served on President Elect Bush's campaign in Austin, and she called him to tell this story.

Last week, Gov. Bush appeared at the thank-you banquet for his campaign staff, and was going table to table to shake hands with the 1000+ campaign volunteers. He got to one lady, who by a brief comment she made, indicated she was a Christian. She was with her 16-year-old son. Gov. Bush asked him if he was a believer, too. He said he didn't think so.

Gov. Bush then asked, "Do you mind if I tell you how I came to know Christ as my Savior?"

The boy agreed, and Gov. Bush pulled up a chair and witnessed to him for 30 minutes, and led him in the sinners prayer!! Jeff's friend was so choked up, she could hardly tell the story through tears.

How glorious to know that our new president is a man that doesn't feel the political pressure to glad-hand 1000 people, but would take 30 minutes of his precious time to lead a teenager to Christ.

Seek Him while He can be found

By Sheela Isaac

1 Chr 28:9 "As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

This is the command which King David gave to his son. He was not an ordinary person, he was not an illiterate or a fool, but he was a king. What did he teach his son?
1. Know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart
2. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

Yes my friend this is the secret of success in life. Many do not know it. Many think, "If I make lot of money life will be good. If I become a Doctor, an Engineer, or so and so my life will be marvelous. If I find a good husband or wife my life will be very nice. If I build a big mansion my life will be very comfortable." And people work tirelessly to achieve these goals, but they never get satisfaction. Even after attaining their goals they still remain frustrated. The things of the world can never satisfy one.

If we read the life of King Solomon we can easily see that the things of this world are nothing but vanity. Some days back a pastor preached over the book of Ecclesiastes. He said it looks that Solomon is a mad person and blabbering something. He looks confused while writing this book. I was really surprised to hear this strange message about Solomon. I don't know how he got this type of meditation. To me it looks that instead of Solomon, the pastor was confused while he was reading this book and could not understand properly what is written in Ecclesiastes.

Bible says about Solomon that he was the wisest man who ever lived on the face of the earth. 1 Ki 4:29-31, "And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore". "Thus Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. "1 Ki 4:31 For he was wiser than all men; than........"

Solomon was the most intelligent person and he wrote the book of Ecclesiastes. If you read it carefully you will find it is a very fascinating book in which he has written about all his own experiences. He was the wealthiest man of his time who enjoyed all the riches and glory but still says that all is vanity. He saw everything in life; he experienced all the pleasures of life, he got whatever he desired, but still at the end what he says that all these things are nothing but vanity.

Finally he reached the one conclusion that nothing is greater in this world but it is man's whole duty to seek God and love Him and serve Him. Solomon concludes the book of Ecclesiastes with these verses:

Eccl 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man's all. Eccl 12:14 For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.

What he says finally is "fear God and His commandments, for this is man's all". Whatever you do in this world every thing will be recorded in heaven, and one day you are going to give an account for each and everything which you have done. God will judge each and every secret thing. Think about it. The things of the world will pass away. One day you have to leave this world. We are not going to live here forever and ever. The things which we admire most will be left behind, the things, the riches, the money, the house, the job which makes us so proud all will be left behind on this earth only. But what ever you do for Christ will remain. The life which you spend for Christ will bring reward and nothing else.

Yes my friend seek God while you can find Him. This is the time to seek Him with your whole heart. This is the time to turn from your evil ways and accept Him as your Savior. This is the time to repent from your past sins and come to the Savior.

Pray this prayer from the bottom of your heart:

Lord Jesus today I seek you. Lord so far I did whatever was pleasing to me. I lived as I desired, but today I commit my life in your hand. Please come into my heart. Forgive my sins. Wash away my sins by your precious blood of Calvary. Make me a new creation. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
