Many a times people say that, “though we are from different beliefs, though we have different opinions we can love and respect each other.” Once a Muslim girl told like this, “But I believe we still can have a common notion of love, peace and respect for each other.”

Yes, we can live in peace, love and respect for each other. But how and what is the definition of peace, love and respect? Suppose a person is heading to a road and you know that there is danger ahead that if he goes further he will certainly fall in a big pit. It is not love, peace and respect that I keep quite and do not warn him seeing that the person is going to fall in that pit. It is not love that I may see him falling in a pit and do nothing to rescue him from the danger. It is not love that I shut my mouth while I should be screaming to see that the person does not fall in to the pit!! Yes, it is not love and respect towards a person nor is it peace of my mind seeing other’s destruction. If we really care and love for others we will say to them, “don’t go further because there is danger ahead,” no matter how different may be the opinion they might have.

In the same way we are all heading towards hell fire because of our sins. If our sins are not forgiven in this world, the moment we die, we will reach hell fire. But Jesus came to rescue us from hell fire. Jesus said in John 5:24, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”

Today millions and millions of people are marching towards hell fire and they do not know that a simple prayer can save themselves from hell fire. Who will go and tell them that they are heading towards destruction? Do you have the mind and courage to tell them that they are heading to death – eternal death and destruction? How can a person simply sit and see others going to hell fire? Yes, if you really love and care for others then you will warn others and try to show them the way of life i.e. Jesus alone!

Love - the most misunderstood word

Today the word 'Love' is the most misunderstood word in Christian circle. If somebody wants to make money they talk about feeding the poor and caring for them. If you are giving only money and are not caring for their soul then feeding and caring does not make any sense. That soul will one day end up in hell. People always talk about love, but if you see closely you find that they are really not concerned about poor. How people are abusing this great word in the name of God.

There are two types of love.
1. True Love
2. Deceptive Love

What is true love according to Bible?

Read the story of David and Jonathan. They loved each other dearly.

1 Sam 18:1, "Now when he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

Jonathan was the heir to his father King Saul's throne. He was supposed to become king after his father' reign, as it was his inheritance, it was his right to become king, but when he knew that God wanted to give the kingdom to David, his friend, he did not envy. He knew that his father was trying to kill David to make the way clear for him. But he refused to accept his father's plan.

He might have thought, "it can not be, I can not allow my friend to be killed, just for the kingdom." What a great man, what a great heart. That is true love. He was ready to leave every thing even his future, the highest position as a king, just because of love toward his friend. That is true love.

Not only did he lose his inheritance, but he saved David's life also and stepped himself aside so that David could take his place as king.

The same thing Lord Jesus did for you and me. He left His heavenly comforts and came down to this world to save you and me from great destruction and hell fire.

Phil 2:, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,"
Phil 2:6, "who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,"
Phil 2:7, "but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men."
Phil 2:8, "And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross."
Phil 2:9, "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,"
Phil 2:10, "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,"
Phil 2:11, "and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

He humbled himself to the position of a slave. Why? So that we can escape from hell fire. He accepted shameful and painful death on Cross. Why? So that we may not die in sin. The true love of Christ. The love which brought Him to this earth. That is true love.

2.Desceptive Love:

Today many speak about Love of God, but ignore the truth that God will bring each and every thing to judgment whether it is good or evil.

We see that many preachers do not want to preach this great truth. They talk about Love.....Love....and Love of God, but ignore the topic of sin and punishment for sin. I heard many messages from the same paragraph, about Love, loving the neighbor, feeding the poor and so on...., but ignore the very next line which talks about sin and forgiveness of sin.

One person wrote: "Please do not lose our identity as Christians who follow Christ who loved people and not judged them by their actions."

That's how many cults came in. They take one portion of Bible and ignore the rest of the main things and preach. Today people who call themselves Christians are misleading many. They think, "God is love." So keep doing whatever you want to. He will ignore it.

They think, "If I am stealing money from Church fund, so what, God is love He will close His eyes and say "all is well...all is well..." If I am drinking, smoking, taking drugs, telling lies, deceiving others and so on..., so what, God is love He will not mind it.

If I am killing somebody so what, God will say "I am the God of mercy, I will not keep account of it."

Do you think God is a fool? Do you think the Word of God which is written in the Bible is just for fun? Do you think that when you reach before the judgment seat of God, He will say "well what you did is not good, but I am the Lord who does not judge anybody so let me....let me delete some verses from Bible and make a place for you in heaven." Certainly Not......!!!"

Well my friend, don't fool yourself. God is not a man to tell lie. It is not written in the Bible about sin, punishment, judgment, wrath of God, hell etc. in vain or for fun. Read these verses and you will get a better idea about God's judgment and wrath.

Exo 34:6, "And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,"

Exo 34:7, "keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."

....by no means clearing the guilty......

Ezek 18:20 "The soul who sins shall die.
Eccl 12:14 For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.

In the Bible we find words like, Judge - 188 times, Judgment- 190 times, punishment -46, punish- 47 times. How can a person say that God does not judge.

If you are a preacher, please do not preach about the LOVE of God only leaving aside what the Bible tells about SIN and FORGIVENESS. Bible clearly say that "if you do not repent and turn from your wicked ways and keep on sinning, you will surely end up in hell fire." If you are preaching only about love you are deceiving many and driving them towards hell fire. Please don't do that.

Let us reach to as many as possible with the saving grace of Christ. Hiding the truth is deception. Few months back when I was praying the Lord said, "Send the Buddhist monk story to your non Christian friends." I knew that, this story may offend many. Because it said clearly that "Goutam Buddh" is in hell and whoever is worshiping idols will end up in hell fire. I was badly hesitating. A thought came in my mind, "if you send this, you may lose those friends, or they may start hating you, or they may feel very bad about you, it may hurt their feelings very badly." So I was a little reluctant to send it. One month passed like this. One day I was thinking about it and some thoughts flashed in my mind. "What if your friend whom you say you love, will end up in hell fire. What if they may lose eternity forever, will you be able to bring them back from hell fire? Your love is selfish, you know the truth but if you fail to tell them that they are heading towards hell then your love is deceptive." I felt that God spoke to me. At once the very same day I sent it to some of my friends. After that I did not receive any reply from them, but I know that I did the right thing. I am still praying for them that the Lord may work in their lives and bring them to salvation.

Yes my friend, spread the good news that, "Jesus died for you to save you from utter destruction and hell fire." Preach it without ceasing. One day it will yield result. Somebody will reach heaven because of your true love. Because of your true preaching.

I subscribed to the in search of peace newsletter about two weeks ago and I just wanted to let you know how wonderful the contents. Many times in life we question why things happen in life and what Gods intetions are, however, we can't seem to get those questions answered. That is where your newsletters come into play. So many questions that I have search for an answer to can be found just within one newsletter. They are filled with the answers that so many of us ask and they are so inspirational.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th July. 2008

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 8th July. 2008

Printed Version of the Magazine

We are excited to announce that we are starting printed edition of the magazine that will be monthly. And will contain all the four or five issues of a month. Our online magazine will still be free and can be read via email or on our website
