Isaiah 10:27, “It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.”

This verse says that anointing oil poured on ones head removes the burden and destroys yoke from ones life. And Jesus said in Mat 11:28-30, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Jesus said this because He is the one who gives anointing. Before He left this world He promised to send His Holy Spirit and anoint people. Many a times people who get saved feel hard to walk in the holy ways of God. They see their old sins returning in their lives as time passes by. After some time of salvation they feel unable to resist the devil and temptations and they fall in sin. They go back to their old ways and do worst things. But there is a way out and the Bible tells us that God gives anointing which removes the burdens and breaks the yokes from our lives. That’s why Jesus said in Acts 1:8, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

1. Anointing gives power to live a holy life:

Power for what? Power to live a holy life. Yes, when anointing comes it gives power to live a holy life and to walk in His holy ways. If you want to live a holy life, you need anointing of Holy Spirit which was poured on the day of Pentecost and which God is still pouring on people who ask for it. Prophet Joel prophesied and said in Joel 2:28-29, "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.”

Peter who denied Christ three times when Jesus was on trial for being crucified who returned to his old job of fishing the same peter got strength to preach the Gospel with might and power when he received anointing. Even many a times he was put in jail, persecuted for his faith in Christ, but nothing could shake his faith. Why? Because he got the power from above to overcome all the barriers. And finally he was killed hanging on the cross upside down. Yes, anointing gives power to live a holy life and it is an essential thing for every believer who wants to go to heaven.

2. Anointing gives power to preach the Gospel:

Bible tells us that God anointed Jesus Christ as we read in Acts 10:38, "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

If Jesus being God Himself was in need of anointing, then how much more we need to get the anointing of Holy Spirit? If we want to do good, if we want to oppress the devil and his works, then we need anointing of Holy Ghost. If we want to break the powers of darkness, sicknesses from our lives, we need the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

If you have not yet received this wonderful gift of God, this is the time to ask and receive His mighty anointing of Holy Spirit which will break every yoke from your lives and will make you a victorious person in your life. There is nothing more wonderful than receiving Holy Spirit.

If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. We will pray for you.

Gift of Word of Wisdom

By Vinod Isaac

So for we looked in to Paul's credibility, Original Sin and Gift of ‘Word of Knowledge.’

We looked into whether the Gifts of Holy Spirit is Paul's invention and regarding that we talked about the Gift of ‘Word of Knowledge’ to begin with.

We saw that Paul got every thing directly from Jesus and so it is God inspired. We also saw that Peter endorsed Paul's writings. So we have two witnesses for Paul. We also discussed that the Gift of Word of Knowledge is Gift of Holy Spirit and because Holy Spirit is God Himself this gift must have divine nature in it. Somebody gaining knowledge by reading lot of books cannot be compared with Gift of ‘Word of Knowledge’. We looked into many examples. Today we are going to look in to Gift of ‘Word of Wisdom.’

Wisdom is the ability to find proper solution of a complex problem. In other words, application of stored knowledge in the right place at the right time. A wise person understands things better.

Prov 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Bible declares that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. We talk about people and say, he/she is very wise and can solve any problem in computer field or medical field or engineering field.” But if they do not have fear of the Lord, Bible declares that they do not have wisdom.

Psa 14:1, “The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.”

Fear of the Lord is beginning of wisdom but that is not the gift of word of wisdom. Gift of word of wisdom must contain God's divine wisdom that cannot be understood by human brain.

Let us look into few examples.

If we turn to Exodus Chapter 13 and 14 we read about Moses leading about 2.5 million peoples to liberty. Before taking each step he asked God what to do and when to do and he followed the instructions exactly as what God told him to do. God asks him to take the Israelites through the way of the Red Sea. If you try to get a Road Map or a Map software and trace the route you have to follow you will never go by the way of the Red Sea. You will say, “what a foolishness, there is no Road there. You cannot cross the sea taking 2.5 million people with you. But God told Moses, “you have to go through Red sea.“

Exo 14:2 "Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn and camp before Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, opposite Baal Zephon; you shall camp before it by the sea.
Exo 14:3 "For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, 'They are bewildered by the land; the wilderness has closed them in.'
Exo 14:4 "Then I will harden Pharaoh's heart, so that he will pursue them; and I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD." And they did so.

Not only that they are given instruction to camp by the sea but they are also told that Pharaoh is going to come after them. Two very contradicting and troubling facts.

1. Camp by the sea from where there is no escape
2. Enemy is coming after you.

Question is why should they camp from where there is no escape. Let us find out. Some time later Pharaoh and his army is marching toward them, they are horrified and they cried to the Lord. Exo 14:15 "And the LORD said to Moses, 'Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward'". A question emerges where to go forward where there is sea before them and it is scientifically impossible to cross the sea without a ship. Did Moses hear it right? Let us read further Exo 14:16, "But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea." Human wisdom says that it is too much to handle, sea can never part in two by stretching out a rod. But Moses lifted up his rod and stretched out his hand and lo and behold the Red sea parted in two and gave way.

Another problem? The Egyptian Army can use the same path and capture them, but the Lord said to Moses, “Streach your hand again and water will come back to it's place.” It happened exactly the same way.

What a marvelous God we serve. A Situation where Moses and the Israelites had an Impossible task of escaping from the Egyptian Army but they accomplished it because they got the divine wisdom from God. If they had used Sophisticated Maps and Map softwares and even if they had used the greatest human wisdom they would have failed. Many Scientists have tried to study the location. Satellite imaging system shows that there was a mass Exodus from that location and they put to use all the scientific theories to see if it was possible for the Red sea to part in two and they say, “yes it was possible. But Moses without a Masters or PhD. in Science could get the solution that even Modern Science cannot provide.

Let us turn to 1 Sam 23:1-4

1 Sam 23:1 Then they told David, saying, "Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and they are robbing the threshing floors."
1 Sam 23:2 Therefore David inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I go and attack these Philistines?" And the LORD said to David, "Go and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah."
1 Sam 23:3 But David's men said to him, "Look, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?"
1 Sam 23:4 Then David inquired of the LORD once again. And the LORD answered him and said, "Arise, go down to Keilah. For I will deliver the Philistines into your hand."

David and his men were in deep trouble King Saul and his whole army was searching for them and they were hiding in caves in wilderness and did not know what could happen next. And they heard the news that the City of Keilah was being tarnished by the Enemy. They had two options 1. Save themselves and forget about people of Keliah 2. Go and fight against Enemy to save Keilah. They asked the Lord for the best thing to do. And Lord said go. They fought and won.

Another news came that king Saul was coming to Keilah to capture David. Human wisdom says that because David had helped the people of Keilah he can be safe in Keilah. But David did not depend on human wisdom. He inquired the Lord and Lord said,“yea Saul is coming and people of Keilah will deliver you in his hand.”

1 Sam 23:11, "Will the men of Keilah deliver me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as Your servant has heard? O LORD God of Israel, I pray, tell Your servant." And the LORD said, "He will come down."
1 Sam 23:12 Then David said, "Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?" And the LORD said, "They will deliver you."

So David and his men escaped from there. God's great wisdom worked in the life of David. David could have said, “I am very knowledgeable. I can handle it.” But no, he turned to God for His divine wisdom each time.

Yes my friend, the ‘Gift of word of wisdom’ can bring you a heavenly solution that no man on earth can give. And it will bring to you the perfect will of God. Many people say that beginning to work on something and if every thing begins to work good then it is the will of God. I have an example for that. If you read the Book of Jonah you read that the Word of the Lord came to Jonah to go to Ninveh. Jonah’s going to Ninveh was the heavenly solution from God for the people of Ninveh. But Jonah fled.

Jonah 1:3, “But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.”

He went to Joppa and found a ship ready to go to Tarshish. He had the money to pay for the ticket and ticket was available on that last moment. Everything working so smooth it must surely be the will of God, no not at all. He was walking on the grace period of God and a big storm was on his way when that grace period ended. Yes my friend, many times God gives grace and we think that all is well. If God says something to you through His Word or Through the Gift of Word of Wisdom act on it and don't be like Jonah.

Let me give one more example and close.

Acts 20:22 "And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there,
Acts 20:23 "except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.
Acts 21:10 And as we stayed many days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.
Acts 21:11 When he had come to us, he took Paul's belt, bound his own hands and feet, and said, "Thus says the Holy Spirit, 'So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.'"

Paul heard that Tribulation awaited him in Jerusalem. All the intelligence agency reports says so. Holy Spirit has also revealed. Human wisdom says, ”Paul you preached enough now it is time for retirement.” But Paul heard from God that he has to testify before the Highest authority in Rome.

And he says Acts 21:13 Then Paul answered, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."

Paul did not know exactly what the plan of God was for him But he knew very well that what ever God had asked him to do he had to do. And He testified the Lord before Felix, Porcius Festus and King Agrippa. And now he is on his way to meat Caesar the Highest authority in Rome.

Paul told the sailors, “the voyage could be too dangerous don’t travel now. But they would not listen. On the way when the situation looked hopeless and the storm was too heavy an Angel appeared to Paul and said that all of them will survive because Paul must stand before Ceasar to testify.

Isn't God's wisdom amazing and does not work like human wisdom. God created a channel for Paul to go to Rome to testify there.

My dear Brothers and Sisters if you want to fulfill God's great plan for your life you need this magnificent gift of ‘word of wisdom. ‘It will transform your life style totally.

May God Bless

Allah and Elohim are they same God? – II

By Sherly Isaac

Psalms 86:15, “But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.”

James 5:11, “Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord; that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.”

From Genesis to Revelation we see the God of the Bible as a compassionate God. He is full of compassion. He is a God who hears our cry and sees our tears and wants to wipe away all our tears. He is a God who has compassion for women and Children. Let us go back to Genesis and see one instance from there.

We read in Genesis Chapter 16 that Abraham’s wife Sarai was a barren woman. Years and years passed by but she had no children. And it really bothered her. Finally she got an idea and told her husband in Genesis16:2-3, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her." And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai. Then Sarai, Abram's wife, took Hagar her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan.”

Well, Hagar gave birth to Ishmael and all the problems started. Ishmael and Hagar were sent away by Abraham. Genesis 21:14, “So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba.”

This is the compassion of a human. Abraham did not even care to provide a shelter for her but just sent her away from her home. I always think how he could do that being a great man of God? Yes, this is the love and compassion of man. It will end one day but there is a God whose compassions fail not. ( Lamentations 3:22). Though Hagar’s husband rejected her God did not reject her. God did not say to her, “I have given authority and permission to man that what he wants he can do, if he threw you out, I can not do anything in between.” When Hagar saw that the water was used up and when she thought that she has reached to the end of her and her son’s life, she lifted her voice and wept as we read in Genesis 21:15-16, “And the water in the skin was used up, and she placed the boy under one of the shrubs. Then she went and sat down across from him at a distance of about a bowshot; for she said to herself, "Let me not see the death of the boy." So she sat opposite him, and lifted her voice and wept.”

Dear friend, you may be in this situation today that you might have reached to the end of your life. Your finances might have dried up. Your hopes might have faded away and you may be at the end of your rope. You may be thinking, “I have reached to the end where there is no hope. Your husband or your wife might have rejected you and thrown you out of your home. But there is a God who hears our cry. His name is Jesus, His name is Elohim, His name is Yahweh the almighty God.

When Hagar cried out in great pain and in great sorrow God heard her cry from heaven and answered her cry. And the Bible tells us in Genesis 21:17-19, “And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, "What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. "Arise, lift up the lad and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation." Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink.”

Yes, the same God still hears our cry and answers prayer. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. No matter how much impossible may be the situations you maybe facing, He can help you out from all your problems. He is able to make a way out. No matter how much dried may be the situation you are facing, He can breath life in that. Yes, He is a God of compassion who moves with compassion. When Jesus was in this world and when He saw the sick and suffering He was moved with compassion for those and He met their needs.

But on the other side if we look at the quality of Allah, we can see that Allah is not compassionate. Quran says to a husband that he can beat his wife in Sura 4:34, “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).”

Not only that Quran also says that men may marry up to four women (some texts say nine; other, an unlimited number) and have sex with an unlimited number of slave girls (Q 4:3).

And after all these what is the reward for a woman? Read this:

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

The Prophet said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you."

A woman whose husband can beat her, give her rights to other women by marring more than one woman is going to hell just because she is ungrateful to her husband. But at the same time a man is going to heaven no matter how many girls and wives he has, no matter how cruel he is towards his wife. In many message boards I read the tearful stories of Muslim women who faced hardship from their husband. Most of them wrote that their husbands justified themselves saying that they have the right and permission from Allah to beat and discipline their wives and marry more than one wife.

Again this proves that Allah is not the God of the Bible and his qualities are not at all matching with the God of the Bible who is compassionate and who cares for every human being whether they are women or men. There is no difference in His eyes for anybody. God is impartial as we read in Acts 10:34-35, “Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
