Colossians 1:27, "To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

We read about Jacob who ran for his life and took shelter at his uncle Laban's house in Genesis chapter 25th and onwards. There he saw nothing but hardship, injustice, and tears and misery. His first blow came when he was given Leah instead of Rachel in marriage. His father-in-law promised to him that if he worked for seven years he would be given the younger daughter Rachel as wife. But Jacob found himself cheated and betrayed when he found Leah instead of Rachel after marriage. (Genesis 29:15-21) The man who worked very hard for Rachel, now finds that all his hard work and toil of seven long years were in vain. How his heart might have been broken?

The second blow to him was to hear the derogatory remarks of Laban's sons and the reaction of Laban after his having worked very hard for the welfare of his father-in-law as we find in Genesis 31:1-2, "Now Jacob heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, “Jacob has taken away all that was our father’s, and from what was our father’s he has acquired all this wealth.” And Jacob saw the countenance of Laban, and indeed it was not favorable toward him as before."

And He called his wives and said to them in Genesis 31:6-7, "And you know that with all my might I have served your father. Yet your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but God did not allow him to hurt me." Now as directed by God to get out of this land and to return to the land of his kindred Jacob fled with all his possessions, his wives and children and headed toward the mountains of Gilead. Laban pursued Jacob and over took him. Jacob now says to his father-in-law in Genesis 31:38-42, "These twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried their young, and I have not eaten the rams of your flock. That which was torn by beasts I did not bring to you; I bore the loss of it. You required it from my hand, whether stolen by day or stolen by night. There I was! In the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night, and my sleep departed from my eyes. Thus I have been in your house twenty years; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your flock, and you have changed my wages ten times. Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night.”

Third blow comes to Jacob when his beloved wife Rachel whom he loved very much dies in the wilderness as we read in Genesis 35:16-20.

His fourth blow was when he heard about his beloved son Joseph's sad death being torn down by beast as told by Joseph's brothers. And the Bible tells us in Genesis 37:31-35, "So they took Joseph’s tunic, killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the tunic in the blood. Then they sent the tunic of many colors, and they brought it to their father and said, “We have found this. Do you know whether it is your son’s tunic or not?” And he recognized it and said, “It is my son’s tunic. A wild beast has devoured him. Without doubt Joseph is torn to pieces.” Then Jacob tore his clothes, put sackcloth on his waist, and mourned for his son many days. And all his sons and all his daughters arose to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted, and he said, “For I shall go down into the grave to my son in mourning.” Thus his father wept for him."

Now Jacob was totally crushed, broken hearted and he lost all his hope. He reached to a stage where all hope ended. All his daughters and sons arose to comfort him but he refused to be comforted. He was in this much pain and suffering. He reached the place where there was no road ahead but indicating,, "DEAD END". He was as if in a closed room from where there was no exit and so no hope to come out of that chamber.

Yes, my friend, you may be in that stage today. You might have lost all your hopes and may be in great pain and in tears. May be because of your teenage daughter or son who may be in drugs and in sexual immoralities. May be you have lost your son and daughter or a loved one in your family and you are in deep depression. You may be thinking, "all my hopes have been totally lost and there is nothing left which can bring back any hope in life. Yes, Jacob was in that stage, but one day he could see carts and horsemen coming to take him to see his son Joseph as we read in Genesis 45:25-28, "Then they went up out of Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to Jacob their father. And they told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt.” And Jacob’s heart stood still, because he did not believe them. But when they told him all the words which Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived. Then Israel said, “It is enough. Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

The same God who enabled Jacob to reunite with his beloved son Joseph is able to restore your son's and daughter's life. He is able to bring a new hope in your life and take all your pain and depression and give you peace, joy and happiness that this world cannot give. Yes, God of the Bible is a mighty God who does mighty things as we read in Job5: 9, "Who does great things, and unsearchable, Marvelous things without number." Let the carts of hope come in your life as it happened to Jacob. Yes, He is the hope of glory.

Allah and Elohim - are they same God? IV

By Sherly Isaac

The biggest question asked by Muslims, 'was Jesus crucified? They say that Jesus was never crucified because Quran denies the crucifixion of Messiah as we read in Sura 4:157-158

Sura 4:157. That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

Sura 4:158. Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise

The above verses are direct contradiction to all the prophets of the Bible who prophesied about the death, burial and resurrection of Messiah, Jesus who proclaimed about His death, burial and resurrection before hand andYahweh/Elohim - the God of the Bible who told about the sufferings of Messiah and atonement through His blood. Because Quran claims that the crucifixion of Jesus (Messiah) was a fake thing and it only appeared to them that it happened. Why God will do this type of big drama of making it appear some thing different?

These Quranic verses are direct contradiction to the whole Bible. In order to justify this contradiction there can only be two possibilities:

1. Either the God of the Bible is a different God from Allah
2. Or He lost His mind in half way to give totally contradictory statement.

Let us see from the Bible which statement is correct. Why it is necessary that Messiah should come and die for our sins? And also let us see few more questions that were commonly asked by Muslims about the Messiah's death on the cross:

Question 1: Did Jesus' manner of death satisfy the animal atonement sacrifice provisions for remission of sin of the Hebrew Scriptures? According to the Hebrew Scriptures, the only animals permitted for sacrificial purposes are those that have split hooves and chew their cud. The carcass of an unclean animal defiles (Leviticus 11:26). On these grounds alone, human beings are disqualified for sacrificial purposes. Jesus, as a human being, was unfit for sacrificial purposes.

Answer: Yes, it is true that Bible prohibits the human sacrifice. But when we read about Abraham, God commanded him to go and sacrifice his only son "Isaac". And he went to sacrifice his beloved son... this clearly indicates that this type of sacrifice was acceptable but humans were not allowed to sacrifice humans because that would have violated the commandment, thou shalt not murder.

And by knowing that human sacrifice is wrong, how come Isaiah got the prophecy about Messiah in Isaiah 53rd chapter (Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

And why Daniel wrote, "Messiah will be cut off." in (Dan 9:26 "And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shallbe cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.).

Not only that but Jesus was called "Lamb of God" in the Bible. Jesus did fulfill the above prophecies of the Bible. He died on the cross.

And Mohammed also said that Jesus is the Messiah, if Jesus is the Messiah then He has to fulfill all these prophesies otherwise Mohammed is wrong when he declared Jesus as the Messiah.

Question 2: An animal blood atonement offering must be physically unblemished (Leviticus 22:18-25). According to the evangelists, Jesus was physically abused prior to his execution (Matthew 27:26, Mark 15:15, John 19:1; John 20:25; Matthew 27:29, Mark 15:17, John 19:2). As a result, Jesus would be disqualified as a valid sacrifice.

Answer: When the sacrifice lamb is brought before the priest it should be physically unblemished and Jesus fulfilled that. His sacrifice started the time He was in the garden of Gethsemane. Only difference is the time span of the sacrifice process for Jesus was higher. If your logic is applied to the sacrifice of the lamb the moment lamb is bruised a little in the process of sacrifice it will be disqualified and because there will be at least a fraction of second difference from the time sacrifice starts to it finishes. So no sacrifice will be qualified.

Not only that Bible tells us about the sacrifice should be without blemish or holy. Jesus was holy and perfect. His blood was holy because He was born of a virgin so the seed of God did not mix with human. His holiness was preserved by His unique birth and Quran confirms His unique birth.

Question 3: The New Testament's claim that Jesus' death was "one sacrifice for sin for all time" (Hebrews 10:12) is not supported by the Hebrew Scriptures. Mere death, no matter what was the extent of the preceding violence or pain, does not satisfy the biblical requirements for those times when a blood atonement sacrifice is offered. In a blood atonement offering the animal (clean species and unblemished) must actually die as a result of blood loss. That is why it is called "a blood atonement sacrifice."

Answer: Yes, Jesus died because of blood loss. They scourged Him as we read in Mat 27:26 Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.

Scourging was a cruel and barbaric punishment. The victim was stripped to the waist, his hands were bound to a pole, and he was whipped. The whip or scourge itself was an inhuman instrument consisting of a handle with several leather thongs attached, which were weighted on the ends with jagged pieces of bone, metal and rock. Frequently, the agony of the scourging resulted in death. Victims lost eyes and teeth, were occasionally disemboweled and were almost always horribly disfigured. The scourging combined with the crucifixion makes the sufferings of the Lord as extensive as any imaginable.

His hands and feet were nailed, and they twisted a crown of thorns, put it on His head.. Yes, He blead to death for me, for you and for the whole world and today also there is forgiveness of sin because of His death on the cross.

Question 4: The Bible teaches that sacrifices can atone only for sins committed PRIOR to the offering of the sacrifice; no sacrifice could ever atone for sins committed after the sacrifice was offered and, thus, no sacrifice could ever atone for people born after the sacrifice was offered (e.g., Leviticus 1-7). So, even if it were true that Jesus was some kind of super-sacrifice that atoned for all sins of all mankind, then his death could only atone for the sins committed before his death, not for any sins committed after his death by people who were born after he died.

Answer: Jesus' sacrifice was for all ages because the whole worlds sin was laid on Him and He bore our iniquities as the Bible says in Isaiah 53:4-6, "Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Question 5: Sacrifice should be made by priests and not by Roman soldiers .

Answer: Sacrifice was made by High Priest who is Jesus Himself.

Question 6: Jesus (unclean human species and blemished) did not die within the Temple precinct, at the hands of an Aaronic priest, or through the shedding of blood. Jesus' blood was not sprinkled on the altar by the Aaronic high priest (Leviticus 16:18-19).

Answer: Jesus Himself was an Aaronic priest. Heb 7:25-26, "Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;

Jesus' blood is sprinkled today also and people are cleansed through His precious blood which was shed on the cruel cross. 1 John 1:7, "and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."

Question 7: Animal sacrifice, offered as a blood atonement, must conform to the biblical guidelines set down in Leviticus 17:11:
(a) Given solely to the Jewish people,
(b) Blood sprinkled upon the Temple altar.

Answer:
(a)Yes, those who never took the blood of Jesus in his/her life they are not saved in other words their sins are not forgiven. They do not have life in them. Because the Bible says in Leviticus 17:11, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul."

(b) Blood is sprinkled upon the temple still today and it makes atonement when it is sprinkled on our heart. As the Bible says that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit as we read in 1 Cor 6:19. So when the blood of Jesus is sprinkled in one's life he/she get the forgiveness of their sins as the Bible tells us in 1John 1:7, "and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."

Question 8: Jesus' humanity, the physical state of his body, and the manner of his death (crucifixion) do not satisfy any blood atonement provisions found in the Hebrew Scriptures.

Answer: As we looked in all the evidence above about the physical state of Jesus's body and manner of His death on the cross and blood atonement perfectly fulfilled the Law of the Hebrew Scriptures. Jesus exactly fulfilled all the Law of blood atonement. He was pure and perfect and in Him there is no sin though He took all our sins on the cross and died in behalf of us so that we may never die but have eternal life.

So these thing again prove that Allah is a totally different god and has nothing to do with Elohim or God of the Bible.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it."
