Last week I read one article at the website of "Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)". Title of that article is, "Ashcroft asked to clarify offensive remarks on Islam". I am quoting few lines of that article here: "According to an interview with syndicated columnist Cal Thomas published on the internet site crosswalk.com, Ashcroft said: "Islam is a religion in which God requires you to send your son to die for him. Christianity is a faith in which God sends His Son to die for you.""Muslim young men and women are bombing themselves to kill others. Why? There is only one reason behind it, they are seeing reward in heaven that is promised by Allah. Quran and Hadith both promised heaven and many virgins in heaven for those who fight for the cause of Allah(Jihaad) and kill others. Hadith says in Volume 4, Book 52, Number 80i: - Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad) - that, Allah's Apostle said, "Allah welcomes two men with a smile; one of whom kills the other and both of them enter Paradise. One fights in Allah's Cause and gets killed. Later on Allah forgives the 'killer who also get martyred (In Allah's Cause)." Second part of Hadith, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 48: -Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)- .....He said, "Paradise has one-hundred grades which Allah has reserved for the Mujahidin who fight in His Cause, and the distance between each of two grades is like the distance between the Heaven and the Earth. So, when you ask Allah (for something), ask for Al-firdaus which is the best and highest part of Paradise." (i.e. The sub-narrator added, "I think the Prophet also said, 'Above it (i.e. Al-Firdaus) is the Throne of Beneficent (i.e. Allah), and from it originate the rivers of Paradise.") Mr. Zulfikar Khan writes in his article, "The x-rated paradise of Islam", "The paradise contains six important items: beautiful virgins, young boys, water, wine, fruits and wealth." And further he says that, "Once a follower of Islam goes to paradise he will get 72 Houris(beautiful virgins) and 28 young pre-pubescent boys."Today young Muslim men and women are deceived by these words and they are thinking that, by killing others they will reach heaven. But the Bible tells us a very different story. Bible says that, we can not go to heaven with all our sinful nature and we cannot go to heaven, if our sins are not forgiven. Bible also says that by our good works we cannot achieve salvation. That was the reason why Jesus came in this world to die for us and shed His precious blood on the cruel cross so that we may come out of our sins and sinful nature and live a holy life. That was the reason why God sent His Son to die for us. Bible very clearly says that no one can go to heaven by killing others.God loved us so much that He gave His only Son to die for our sins as we read in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."Jesus Himself said in Mark 10:45, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."Yes, He wants holiness from our lives. If you want to go to heaven your sins must be forgiven. Jesus came in this world to give His life for us so that we should not perish but have everlasting life - A life that will never fade. If you want this life, please pray this prayer after me:Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I did wrong in my life but I want to go to heaven. Please forgive and forget all my sins and wash me with your precious blood. Please give me a holy life so that I can enter into heaven. Thank you Jesus for listening my prayers. I pray in Jesus name, Amen!
Wrong Choices
We all choose things in our lives. But did you ever think the consequences of choosing wrong things in your life? John Walker Lindh an American Taliban chose Islam and went to fight for Islam. He was asked what he wants to do next and he continued to do bad choices. Attorney General of America Mr. John Ashcroft said in a news confress that, "The complaint alleges Walker knowingly and purposely allied himself with certain terrorist organizations, with terror; that he chose to embrace fanatics, and his allegiance to those fanatics and terrorists never feltered (sic), not even with the knowledge that they had murdered thousands of his countrymen, not with the knowledge that they were engaged in a war with the United States, and not, finally, in the prison uprising that took the life of CI agent -- CIA agent Johnny Spann. And further he said, "As the complaint states, prior to being interviewed by the FBI, Walker was informed of his Miranda rights, including the right to speak to counsel. He acknowledged that he understood each of his rights, and he chose to waive them, both verbally and in a signed document. The Department of Justice complaint based on Walker's statements in interviews states that on or about May 2001, Walker joined a paramilitary training camp run by the terrorist group Harkat ul-Mujahedeen. After his training was completed, he was given a choice to fight with the Harkat ul-Mujahedeen in Kashmir or join the Taliban to fight in Afghanistan. Walker chose to join the Taliban. He went to Afghanistan and presented himself to a Taliban recruitment center, telling the individuals there that -- and I'm quoting -- quote, "he was a Muslim who wanted to go to the front lines to fight." The complaint further states that because Walker's language skills were deemed insufficient by Taliban recruiters, he was referred to another group, which he was told was Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network. When al Qaeda members told Walker he needed more military training to join the terrorist group, the complaint sets forth Walker's admission that he spent seven weeks in an al Qaeda camp, training in weapons, explosives and battlefield combat.Walker reported that Osama bin Laden visited the camp on three to five occasions. On one of these occasions, Walker met personally with bin Laden, who, quote, according to Walker, "thanked him for taking part in jihad." According to the complaint, when his al Qaeda training was completed, Walker -- again, by his own admission -- chose to go to the front lines of the battle in Afghanistan."In another words John Walker Lindh chose all the above that led him to end up in prison. One news reporter reported that In his first court appearance he was looking like a very scared kid. Yes, That's what happens when we do bad choices. Bible tells us about Samson who did choose wrong things in his life and the result was he lost the mighty power of God that was given to him by the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit left him; he was thrown into jail, they put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza. He was bound with bronze fetters, and he became a grinder in the prison. Why it happened to that mighty man? Wrong choices!! He did choose wrong things in his life.In the same way, there are two ways before us - life or death, heaven or hell, good or evil.. It is purely our choice to choose one of the things. Moses said in Deuteronomy 30:15, "See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil..." And in Deuteronomy 30:19 "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live."Yes, chose life, blessings and heaven so that you may not stand before the judgment seat of God. John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."If you want to pass death and judgment accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. By doing that you will accept life - eternal life.
Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 13th May. 2008
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 13th May. 2008
