Rom 12:2, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."Apostle Paul talks about a very important thing to the believers in this verse. He says, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. But I have seen many believers who got salvation of God and even filled with the Holy Spirit, compromise to the world. I have seen the horror, pain and sufferings of compromise in their lives. Either they compromised with sin, their new environment, their new lifestyle, and their new culture or by marring with an unbeliever. I have seen them crumbling down and totally broken because of their compromise to the world. Many think that by adjusting to their new situations they will be all right. Many think that they should take good things from their culture and mix with other culture and make a new culture and they will be fine. How many Malayali Christians celebrate "Onam" thinking it is their state festival, how many North Indian Christians celebrate, "Holi" and "Dipawali" to please their neighbors and friends, how many Christians celebrate "Halloween" in Western countries? Many drink thinking it is a fashion of high society. But they forget that they are walking on the path of destruction. Why? Just because others are doing it, it becomes important for them to do as well. Just to please human being they do all these things. But I can say that it is not culture that makes any difference or makes a person holy and better but the non-compromised word of God.Bible says about Judas Iscariot who was one of the disciples of Jesus, who walked with Jesus, talked with Jesus lived with Jesus more than three years. But compromised with the world for few pieces of silver, he betrayed Jesus. He could please High priest, Pharisees and others but could not please Jesus (God). And we all know the horrible end of his life. The only reason is because he loved the world more than God. He pleased people instead of pleasing God and ended up in destruction. That's what happens when a person compromises with this world and does the things to please people. And what is difference between a non-believer and believer when believers also behave like non-believer? Pilate was not a believer of Jesus but he had a chance to choose God or people and he chose the choice of people. Bible says that Jesus was handed over to Pilate the Governor. Pilate knew that Jesus was innocent but he releasing Barabbas in order to please the crowd. Yes, he could please the crowd but he could not please God. He could please Herod and became a friend as they were in enmity with each other but he could not please God. By pleasing people and the world they are heading toward destruction. But how many Churches and pastors are worried about the souls of their flocks? I think very few. Many are very busy pleasing their committee members and congregation but they forgot that they should please God. They forgot that, "they have great responsibility on their shoulders to tend their sheep and to show them the way of heaven. Are you one of them? If yes, repent from your sins and turn to God who is ready to forgive your sins.
When we speak about Rapture it looks that many do not believe in it. Many Churchgoers also doubt about it. The reason is very simple. They never read Bible; they even do not know what is in it. When somebody preaches anything they take it as God's word and stay confused. When you point something about somebody's preaching they say "you always hear the word of God in a criticizing way or your interpretation is different than mine." Well it is always good to watch carefully about every preaching, whether preacher is saved or not. Don't take wrong things in your mind and allow it to get rooted in your mind. Read Bible and evaluate the message before it ruins your life. Find out whether the message contradicts Bible or not, if it contradicts don't take it as God's word.Many feel offended when you talk about Rapture. But when you Look in the Bible it speaks about Rapture. Rapture is an important event, which is going to take place in near future.What is Rapture?Many verses are there in the Bible, which speaks about the return of Messiah (Jesus Christ). It is different incidence than second coming of Christ.Bible speaks that Jesus Christ is going to return for His bride (Church). He will descend with the sound of trumpet and He will gather His people. Those who believe in Him will vanish from earth to be with the Lord forever.1 Th 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Th 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.Luke 21:27 "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Luke 21:28 "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."1 Cor 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.All these above said verses speak about Rapture. Now question is who will be able to go with the Lord when this event takes place. What qualities are necessary to qualify for Rapture?1. Salvation:Bible speaks very clearly that those who are washed by the blood of Jesus are only called the bride of Christ or Church. It means not every person who is in a Christian family or a person who is attending Church regularly or a person who is actively working in Church will qualify for this. That means everybody will not qualify for the kingdom of God but only those who really believe in Christ, those who really got forgiveness of Sin.Bible speaks very clearly that only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ we can receive pardon from our sins.1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.Heb 9:22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.Again Bible says that with our good work or because of our traditional Christianity we cannot achieve salvation. 1 Pet 1:18, "knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers," 1 Pet 1:19, "but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot".Again Bible says that through the Blood of Jesus we can get rid of wrath of God. Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:9 Much ore then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.Salvation is a symbol of seal is being put on a person. When Israelites were delivered from the bondage of Egypt God has given a sign to them. God said to Moses about applying the blood on the doorposts of the home.Exo 12:23, "For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come intoyour houses to strike you".It was a sign for them that when destroyer comes and sees a blood mark on the doorpost he will not destroy but pass over the door. The same way when final judgment will take place God will look for the blood of Jesus Christ as a sign. Whoever will be found without blood mark of Jesus will be cast out in hell fire. Whoever will be found guilty of sin will be cast out in eternal hell.Have you ever received the seal of the blood of the lamb on your heart? Do you know for sure that the blood of Jesus Christ is applied on your heart? It is very necessary if you want to go with the Lord during Rapture.2. Holy Spirit:God speaks about Holy Spirit that in the last days I will pour My spirit upon all flesh.Acts 2:17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.This is the time when God is pouring His Holy Spirit upon those who are longing to receive this great gift from God. God is willing to give His Holy Sprit. But question is do you want to receive this great gift.When I read about 5 foolish virgins great fear settles in. We do not know if it speaks about Rapture. But if it is about Rapture we need to be alerted. When bridegroom came those who did not have oil in theirlamp were left out.Mat 25:8 "And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' Mat 25:10 "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Mat 25:11 "Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' Mat 25:12 "But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.' Mat 25:13 "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.Oil is a symbol of Holy Spirit. If this parable speaks about Rapture it is very necessary that our lamp should have oil. Let not be ignorant about it and get into trouble. God is pouring His Holy Sprit, it is upto you whether you want to receive it or reject it.3. Holiness:Holiness is the other key to reach heaven. Today many preach about holiness and say, "it is not possible to lead a holy life." Some say, "Now everything is different than old testament time. Old Testament time needed perfect holiness, but now we are in a grace period, Jesus is there for our rescue so we need not to worry about it." If you look at the life of such people you find that they are living in sin.Let me tell you holiness is the most important thing for going heaven. Jesus said "be holy as I am holy." Why did He say that? If it were not necessary He would have not said it. If it were not possible to lead a holy life He would have not said this verse.Achieving holy life is difficult but not impossible. Without salvation and anointing you can never lead a holy life. If you are not saved you need to get saved first. If you are not spirit filled, you need to get filled with the Holy Spirit first and pray to God and ask for holiness, and long for it. Pray daily for holiness and some day you will be able to lead a holy life. It looks very hard at the beginning stages, but when you continually rely on Holy Spirit and ask for guidance and for help God will help you to lead a victorious life.Bible says that without holiness no one will ever see God. Heb 12:14, "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:"It looks that Rapture is very near. All the signs from Bible are coming true. Things are moving fast. Some years back we never saw such situation of war and fighting. Bible says, "You will hear the rumors of war and commotions." Today we are there where each and every day we hear about new conflict arising. Few years back no one ever dreamed about microchip. No one ever knew how the 666 (mark of the beast) thing is going to come. But now it is almost here. Couple of days back I heard in TV that first person is getting ready to take microchip in his hand.I want to quote some news from wired news Feb 6-2002:Quote---"Derek stood up and said, 'I want to be the first kid to be implanted with the chip,'""Right now we have over 2,000 kids who have e-mailed, wanting to have the chip implanted," he said. "They think it's cool." Psalms 14:1, "The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good."Today Atheism is on rise. Many become atheist when they see the sufferings and problems of people. Many ask, how a loving God will allow bad things in the lives of people? Where is God when a person is suffering with horrible pain of sickness like cancer or lose of their loved one? Where is God when a person goes through terrible trials and heartbreaks? If God is the creator then why He created evil things, pain and sufferings?Let us go back to Genesis in the Bible where we see the details of creation and examine that whether God created evil things and suffering or He made a beautiful world?Bible says in Genesis chapter one and two that God created everything wonderfully and when God looked His creation, He saw that it was good. When He created Adam and Eve, birds, animal, trees, mountains and other things, He saw that it was good. When God created everything that time there was no death, no sufferings, no pain, no hard work or tears. But the question arises, "If the world was good and the creation was without defect then what went wrong?" How these sufferings and pain came in this world? What we see today is not a good picture of the creation. Let us again go back to Genesis. When we read in Genesis 3rd chapter, we see that Bible talks about the fall of Adam and Eve. God forbid them to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. But they disobeyed God and chose evil. And the same chapter tells us that sin, suffering, toil, pain and even death came in this world. Not because of God but the choice of human being who rebelled against God. It was the bad choice of Adam and Eve that made them to suffer. Today we see the same thing in this world. We see sufferings, pain and curse in this world it is the result of our forefather's sin. It is the result of our forefather's rebellion. But God did not leave us without a solution. He sent His only begotten Son to die for us. Jesus came in this world and gave His life for us so that we may never live in sin and sufferings but have eternal life, have abundant life. Both ways are before you - the way of life and the way of death, the way of blessings and the way of curse. It is purely your choice to choose life or death, blessings or curse, heaven or hell. But many choose the way of tears and think that there is no God. Many rebel against God and refuse to take any of His blessings and think that there is no God. My friend, you are the reason of your miserable condition. If you repent from your sins and turn to God, He will give you peace, joy and happiness that world cannot give.
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
