In this world where we are losing trusts on our fellow human beings day by day, one can ask whom can we trust? Catholic priest scandals have shaken the faith and trust on Church fathers all over the world. Many Catholics cried and said we are devastated by this crisis in Church. Yes, it is tragic and it is heartbreaking. Not only that but there are many homes where girls and boys are molested by their own fathers or step fathers. There are many cases where girls are date rape victims. The same person whom they trusted most cheated them.In this unfaithful world and in this world where we cannot trust anybody, psalmist says that we can trust in God of the Bible as we read in Psalms 22:4, "Our fathers trusted in You; They trusted, and You delivered them. They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed."Bible tells us about the Sennacherib king of Assyria who invaded Judah in order to capture it or take victory over it in 2 Chronicles 32nd chapter. We read further in the same chapter that Sennacherib king of Assyria sent his servants to Jerusalem (but he and all the forces with him laid siege against Lachish), to Hezekiah king of Judah, and to all Judah who were in Jerusalem, saying, "Thus says Sennacherib king of Assyria: 'In what do you trust, that you remain under siege in Jerusalem? Does not Hezekiah persuade you to give yourselves over to die by famine and by thirst, saying, "The LORD our God will deliver us from the hand of the king of Assyria"? Has not the same Hezekiah taken away His high places and His altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, "You shall worship before one altar and burn incense on it"? Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands in any way able to deliver their lands out of my hand? Who was there among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed that could deliver his people from my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you from my hand? Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or persuade you like this, and do not believe him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people from my hand or the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my hand?'" '(2 Chr. 32 9-16)Furthermore, his servants spoke against the LORD God and against His servant Hezekiah. He also wrote letters to revile the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against Him, saying, "As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people from my hand, so the God of Hezekiah will not deliver His people from my hand." Then they called out with a loud voice in Hebrew to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten them and trouble them, that they might take the city. And they spoke against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth; the work of men's hands. (2 Chr. 32:16-19)King of Assyria and his men trusted on their own ability and they defied those who trusted on almighty God. When Hezekiah and Prophet Isaiah heard this they cried out to God and the Bible says that God delivered them miraculously. God sent an angel from heaven to cut down every mighty man of valor, leader, and captain in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned shamefaced to his own land. And when he had gone into the temple of his god, some of his own offspring struck him down with the sword there.Those who trust on God they are not ashamed but God delivers them. If you trust in God, if you put your trust in Jesus, He will never let you down. You may be going through terrible time in your life. You may be in a situation where you lost all your trust in human beings but if you look to Jesus, He can help you. He can deliver you and give you peace and joy that world cannot give.
God has promised in Bible that in the last days He will pour His spirit upon all flesh. We believe that it is God’s will to send His latter rain. Acts 2:17, “'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams”. Acts 2:18, “And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy”. Acts 2:19, “I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke”.God speaks here about last days. He says in the last days it will happen that I’ll pour out My Spirit upon all flesh. He wants to anoint each one of us. He wants to pour out His Holy Spirit upon us. Read all the verses and you will find that when the Holy Spirit comes upon people some signs show up. It says they will prophesy, they will see visions and dreams. And mighty wonders will take place like pillar of blood, fire and smoke. It means many signs and wonders and miracles will take place. Today when we see miracles and wonders like healing and many other things we think it is all done by false prophets. But what Bible says about it whoever is filled with the Holy Spirit these signs will appear. Only those who are anointed will demonstrate these signs. It is an acid test for every one. Look at your life and examine whether you see these types of things in your life or not? Do you prophesy, do you see visions and dreams, do you see miracles in your ministry, and do you see people getting healed, delivered from all kinds of problems? If not you do not have anointing. If not you are not filled with the Holy Spirit. Many think that they are filled with the Holy Spirit from their birth like John the Baptist. Many think that when they are born in a Christian family they are already in God’s family. Let not stay in wrong notions. Let not satan fool you. Without salvation you are not going anywhere, you will not reach heaven. Anointing of the Holy Spirit comes after the experience of salvation. God is willing to give His Holy Spirit to all who want to receive it. Are you willing to receive this precious gift? Are you willing to come out of your tradition and rituals and want to believe in Bible? Jesus said it when I will ascend to heaven I will send the comforter and He will be with you all the time. Do you want to receive that precious comforter?You may wonder to see that Holy Spirit is a precious gift. He is a personality and when He comes in He brings several gifts with Him. When you give due respect to Holy Spirit when you obey the voice of the Holy spirit many gifts start operating. And when you grow in advanced levels you will see miracles and healings taking place. This time I don’t want to look into all the gifts but let us see how dreams and visions work. How God shows dreams and how it comes to fulfillment. Dreams look very similar to the normal dreams as we all see while sleeping. But the visions are little different than dreams. It shows up when you are fully awake. Visions look similar to dream but you see those things during prayer time eyes closed or even when you are just sitting with eyes wide open. Now question is why God speaks through visions and dreams.When He wants to reveal something He speaks thru dreams and visions. We must know that He reveals many things thru dreams or vision. Now I want to share real dreams of some people, what did they see and how it came to fulfillment. I know a person who is doing God’s work. She is a saved and spirit filled person and was doing God’s work. She was waiting for God’s will to get married. She got many proposals of good God-fearing people (saved and anointed persons) but every time when she prayed God said no to each and every proposal. So she waited all the years to know the will of God. One night she sees a very strange dream. In that dream she sees that she is getting married with her own mama (mom’s brother). She gets very upset and in the morning she shares this dream to her family members. Her family members say to her “it is just a bad dream, you just forget about it because it is never going to happen”. It was the dream this person saw. It looks very silly and bad dream but you may wonder to know that this dream was from God. God tried to warn about something, which is about to come. Now let us see how this dream is going to fulfill and in what way.The very same day when she shares this dream to her family members after 2-3 hours later they receives a telephone call from their relatives. And she knew that there is a proposal for her. And she surprises to know that they have brought a person’s proposal who is much older (may be more than 20 or so years older) than her and he has college-going children and he is divorced. Here we can see that God knew everything before the proposal came in. And God showed it thru the dream to her. That’s how Holy Spirit works thru dreams. God shows dreams and visions to warn a person from coming danger. Here we can understand that God is all knowing and almighty. Nothing is hidden from Him. Before something comes to you He knows what is going to come. He knows how to save His children. Anointing of the Holy Spirit does that for a person. If you are a spirit filled person you can know the things of future. Holy spirit is a marvelous gift you cannot miss it and stay happy.I want to share one more dream with you. This dream came to my brother Vinod. One night he saw in his dream that 3 parrots died on terrace due to heat. Morning he shared this dream to us. I thought in my heart there are no parrots around here though we see several birds. It looked a very funny dream so we took it very easy. We never gave another thought that, what it might be.Now how it came to fulfillment. You may wonder the very same day around 11’o clock we three (my sister, brother and myself) were standing at our house’s terrace. It was Dec 07 1991 I guess. Everywhere riots were going on so they imposed a curfew on the city. So we were on terrace to see what is going on. We did not know what enemy had planed for us. As we were standing there after sometimes we heard 10-15 bullets shot. It looked that some one was shooting bullets very near by us so we looked back. One bullet went just above our head making a noise like zoooooooo. I asked my brother what it could be? Whether a bird could fly in such a high speed? Later we found out that our neighbor was trying to shoot us from his window. The window was only 8-10 feet away from us. God saved us that’s why we escaped unhurt that day. That’s how dreams and visions work. Enemy had planned to kill 3 of us but God is in control. That’s why the dream said 3 parrots died on terrace. It was not a funny dream but God showed what is coming on our way. God knew very well what satan is planning. Bible says God of Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers. He knows each and every thing. He is always watching us. If you are an anointed person you can know the things of future. God protects us through dreams from many types of dangers. If somebody is trying to kill you, you could know that. If somebody is doing witchcraft against you, you could know that. If somebody is trying to poison your food, you could know that. If somebody is planning something bad for you, you could know that also. I saw many dreams and it came to pass exactly the same way. Many dreams were a warning. Many dreams were very pleasant surprises and so on. You could have this experience too. God is not a respecter of persons. Anybody can have these types of experiences. You can see dreams and vision. Only requirement is you must be filled with the Holy Spirit. Unless you are anointed person you cannot have such experiences. If you want to be anointed salvation is the first step to reach this goal. Get saved get filled with the Holy Spirit and God will show you marvelous things. How to receive this anointing?Bible says ask and it shall be given to you. You can receive it by asking. As you first received salvation by asking the same way ask for Holy Spirit. When salvation comes some signs follows the same way when anointing comes some signs will follow. I wrote previously in detail that what signs would follow during salvation and during the anointing of the Holy Spirit. So you can read it from web page. Well in one words I can say when anointing of the Holy Spirit comes some outward signs show up. Acts 2:4, “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”. This is the first and important sign shows up when a person receives the anointing. That means a person should speak in unknown tongues or languages. Many have problem with this but you cannot change God’s word. Bible says it and it happens. Some other signs also show up later that are: prophesy, dreams and visions, and many other wonderful experiences. If you do not see these signs in your life let me tell you plainly you are not anointed. You do not have anointing of the Holy Spirit but you need this precious gift. Pray for it and long for it and some day God will fill you with His Holy Spirit. When I got saved on 1981 I did not know anything about Holy Spirit, but later I read about this precious experience. So I started praying for this experience. I prayed nearly one year. Night and day whenever I prayed I prayed for one thing “Lord I want this anointing, please anoint me, please forgive all of my sins and so on.” God heard that prayer and finally I received the great and precious gift i.e. anointing of the Holy Spirit. Don’t you think that you also need this precious anointing? Don’t you think that you want a closer walk with God? Don’t you think that God of universe should speak to you? If yes ask for it and long for it and God will certainly hear your prayer and will anoint you.If you are already anointed but if you are not able to see dreams and visions. Ask for it. Each and every thing which you do keep it before God and pray “Lord whether I do this thing or not.” When you do it God will start revealing things thru dreams and visions. He will speak to you many things thru dreams.May God bless you.
Horatio Gates Spafford wrote a very famous hymn in 1873 after seeing tragedies after tragedies in his life. In 1871 Chicago fire took lives of more than 300 people and one of them was the son of Horatio Gates Spafford. Two years later Horatio Gates Spafford and his family decided to go for a vacation to England to join Moody for Evangelistic crusade. But because he had some work, he sent his wife and four daughters thinking that he will go later. On the way to England their ship collided with an English sailing ship and sank within twenty minutes. Their four daughters died but Ana, his wife survived by clinging on a floating wreckage. Horatio Gates Spafford got a two words long telegram, "Saved alone" He took the next available ship to reach his wife. And when they both finally met with Dwight Moody these were the words from his mouth, "It is well,". "The will of God be done." Later he wrote this hymn:When peace like a river, attendeth my way;When sorrows like sea billows roll;Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,It is well, it is well with my soul.Every person goes through tragedies and troubles in their lives. Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."Many a times we go through tears and troubles. Many a times we want to have things done in our own way but when it does not happen, we feel dejected. Many a times we feel disappointed because we do not get our heart's desire. But if we are walking in the ways of God, if we are doing according to the will of God then whatever happens it works for our good. It may seem painful for that particular moment but it would work for good.I do remember when I passed my B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) and wanted to join for Masters degree. I applied for Biological subjects in which I did graduation. But because I had only second division marks, I could not get a seat in it. Meanwhile I got admission in M.A. (Master in Arts) and I joined. I found that, the subject was very easy. So I continued in that but few days later when I was looking in college notice board I saw my name in Botany's admission list. I felt very sorry and I thought why it should happen to me now. I have already joined M.A. course and I was happy with that subject and had no mood to change my subject. But when I told in my home and to my friends, everybody said, it is good for you to join M.Sc. Finally I knelt down and cried to God. God also said to join M.Sc. I was devastated. I told God, I have no ability to study and pass exam, if you come with me and help me in my studies then only I will join. Well, it was not easy to study in this hard subject. I shed bitter tears and many a times I felt, as I will never make it. But God was faithful. He gave me grace to pass my exams with first class and second position in my college.After passing my exam, I was called to teach in college as assistant professor. God blessed me beyond my imagination. After that my Dad moved to USA and God told us to study computer programming. Well, it was not easy again to change the subject and study a new thing. Even today I do not feel comfortable doing programming. Many a times I asked God to change my line but God said, "stay where you are." Of course it is not easy when God says NO for something. But the outcome will be the best. He does not commit any mistakes. His ways are perfect and those who walk in His ways will never be ashamed.When we were in India many people tried to kill us. Many a times we prayed to God that, can we move to our native place but God said, "NO". And we obeyed God. It wasn't easy to stay in the midst of horrible threats and where our lives were in danger. But God protected us every time and no one could touch us. My dear friend, are you in this situation today? God has not forgotten you. He will lift you up in right time. He will help you to stand still and see the mighty deeds of God.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
