On 15th Sep. 2003 death sentence was given to Dara Singh who burnt alive the Australian missionary, Graham Staines and his two sons who were sleeping in their station wagon. Many Indians and also others welcomed the fair judgment given by the Indian judiciary. Some wrote appreciating it like this, "hats off to our judiciary commission..." and so on. But when Dara Singh heard his verdict, he burst into tears. This is the end of a sinner. This is the end of a person who commits crime.Bible says in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death..." When a person commits sin or crime, or breaks the law of this world, there is punishment for him even in this world. And if we break the law of God how much more punishment we would get from God? That's why the Bible tells us that, if we continue in sin one day we will be swallowed by death. Every sin leads to death -eternal death. Every person born in this world has broken the Law of God in one way or the other. No one can say for himself or herself that he or she is without sin or guilt. And by breaking the Law of God we all deserve death. But there is a way out, if we get forgiveness of our sins. The same verse says in Rom 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Jesus Christ came in this world to take away our sins and to die for us. He took all our sin, crime, the breaking of the laws and He died in our place. The place where you and me had to be, He took that place. And He shed His precious blood on the cruel cross so that we could get forgiveness of our sins. So that we could come out of our sins and live a holy life. Bible says in 1 John 1:7-9, "...and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."There is no big or small crime in the sight of God. God looks at every law breaking as sin and the lawbreaker as a sinner. And if a person repents from his/her sins, God is ready to forgive his sins. Though Dara Singh committed this big sin, still he can get forgiveness of God if he turns to Jesus and can get eternal life. There is no one who can forgive our sins except Jesus. Bible says in Acts 4:12, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." There is no other name given for our salvation except Jesus. Jesus alone promised Eternal Life for the dying humanity. If you have not yet received this life, today is the day to repent from your sins and turn to Jesus. Jesus assured eternal life to those who believe on Him as we read in John 5:24, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."If you want to pass from death into life, come to Jesus and make Him your Lord and Savior today.
1 Sam 25:5, "David sent ten young men; and David said to the young men, "Go up to Carmel, go to Nabal, and greet him in my name."In 1 Sam 25th chapter we read that David sent the young men to Nabal and asked them to greet Nabal in his name. He directed them to tell about the kindness David and his men had showed to Nabal's servants while they were in Carmel. David wanted to remind Nabal that he did not lose any of their herds or sheep. David instructed his young men to request Nabal for favor and to supply them with provision. So David's men went to Nabal according to all these words in the name of David. (1 Sam 25:9)But Nabal ignored the request of David's young men. He did not give anything to them and made them to return empty handed. David, about whom all Israel knew that he was a valiant man who had killed Goliath. David, about whom the women of Israel sang, "Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands." This was the same statement which made Saul furious. In Israel people knew about David, who he was and that's why he said to his men, "go and tell in my name." But Nabal said to them, "Who is David, and who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants nowadays who break away each one from his master. Shall I then take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers, and give it to men when I do not know where they are from?" (1 Sam 25:10-11).David's young men returned and told what had happened to them and what the reply of Nabal was. When David heard that, his first reaction was, he said to his men, "Every man gird on his sword." We read in 1 Sam 25:13, 'Then David said to his men, "Every man gird on his sword." So every man girded on his sword, and David also girded on his sword. And about four hundred men went with David, and two hundred stayed with the supplies.'" Further the Bible tells us how furious David became as he says in 1 Sam 25:21-22, 'Now David had said, "Surely in vain I have protected all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that belongs to him. And he has repaid me evil for good. May God do so, and more also, to the enemies of David, if I leave one male of all who belong to him by morning light."' Yes, it was a great insult for David that he sent men on the assurance of his name and the men had to return empty handed. So he and his men girded their sword. The same thing happens when we demand our stolen things from devil in the name of Jesus. If devil refuses to give back what he has stolen, Jesus will gird on his sword and will bring back what devil has stolen from us. Have you lost your health today, have you lost your peace, joy and happiness and are you living in depression? There is power in the name of Jesus to break all the powers of hell. Jesus said in Mark 16:16-18, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."Jesus promised to do mighty things in His name. And He said in John 14:14, "If you ask anything in My name, "I will do it." And also in John 16:23-24, "And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."Yes, there is this name above all names that is Jesus Christ. Whatever you ask in the name of Jesus according to His will, He will do it. You will cast out demons, lay hands on the sick and they will be healed, and serpents and deadly poison will not hurt you because there is power in the name of Jesus. Are you hurting today, are you shedding bitter tears today? Call upon the name of Jesus - the name above all names and you will surely get help from Jesus.
Dear Sister ,I use to get filled with courage and inspiration after reading your articles. I thank God for HE is blessing you to carry on HIS work like this. Please pray for me , I want the anointing of Holy Spirit. Although I am trying to work as much as I can for HIM but yes I have to admit that fruit is not that much. I want God to make me His mouth piece and pray for his people (specially sick and demon possessed people). As you said anointing is must for a frutiful ministry, so please pray for me that God will give me the anointing of his holy spirit and that whatever I do is frutiful for HIS knigdom. As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
