Isa 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Last year when God gave me the promise for the year 2003 which was published in Promise for 2003!, The promises appeared to be so impossible that it could happen. But now when we look back we see that they are fulfilled. Some of the points are: Economic Growth, God will separate true worshipper who are not and Peace in the midst of violence and terror. Economy has been improving rapidly beyond imagination and in a very unexpected way. This year, many suicide attacks and other attacks from terrorists had taken place. Not a single month passed by when we did not hear of tragic incidents. Many lost their lives and many lost their loved ones. Yet we had peace in the midst of terror.There were two attacks on Turkey and the next day when I was watching the news, it really saddened my heart. Ordinary people who had nothing to do with this terrorism were the victims of these attacks. One young man who was in a bus and when the bus happened to pass by the side of a building that was bombed he was killed in that attack. One cobbler who had a small shop in front of the bombed building said, "Just five minutes back I shined the shoe of the British consulate general who died in that blast." He continued, "I rushed to the scene and tried to help a young girl who was completely covered with blood. I took her on my shoulders and somehow managed to send her to hospital." Later he collapsed seeing the devastation of tragic deaths of people. Isn't it mind-boggling? Why should someone do these types of terrorism and violence? Can all these terrorism bring peace in this world? I hope not! On the one side wicked people are trying to gain power and position by using force, terrorism and violence while on the other side, there are people who are sick, tired and fed up of such attacks. What is the remedy to bring peace?But in the midst of terrorism, violence and tragic situations, those who trust in the Lord will stay in perfect peace. Bible says in Isa 26:3, "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You." God wants us to live in perfect peace no matter what is happening around us. Jesus came into this world for the very same purpose to give us peace. He is the Prince of Peace and without Him we cannot achieve peace.There are many who tried to bring peace among nations, peace in this world and peace and unity between each others but they failed miserably because they tried avoiding the Prince of Peace - Jesus Christ who alone can bring peace in this world. Once I went to one of my uncle's house. There was some news in the newspaper that, if so and so becomes Prime Minister, he will bring peace to the nation. My uncle laughed and said, "There is no peace among two people living in a home, how could it be that the whole nation could be in peace?" Well, it was not a joke but he expressed the very problem he was facing in his own home and his question was genuine. The reason is very simple we have never tried to invite Jesus in our lives or in our home and that's why we do not see any peace in our lives or in our home.At the time of Jesus' birth angels sang, "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!, (Luke 2:14)." In Luke 1st chapter, the last verses tell us what the child who was born would be like. Luke 1:79 says, "To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace." Yes Jesus came to deliver us from the darkness of sin and from the shadow of death. He came to shine His light in our lives so that we could walk in that light and enter into heaven. He came to guide our feet into the way of peace. What is the way of peace? Reconciling with God by repenting and confessing our sins to Him, accepting the Prince of Peace in our lives so that we could live in peace forever. Today you may be living without peace. You may be seeing terrible things happening around you and you may have no peace in your life. Look to Jesus. Invite Him in your life, invite Him in your home. He will come in and change everything. He will give you peace that surpasses all understanding. In this Christmas let the Prince of Peace come into your hearts and in your homes.

And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."Isaiah prophesied and said about the coming Messiah that His name will be called "Prince of Peace". He is not talking about ordinary peace, but the peace that passes all understanding, the peace that rules in your life in the midst of the worst storms of your life, the peace that enables you to stay calm in the midst of the darkest hour of your life. Once I read a small story about a small bird that lived in the rocks on the seashore. When the nesting season came, she gathered small twigs, fibers, leaves and cotton etc to build her nest so that the young ones could feel comfortable. Everyday she went around and collected those things and little by little she built her nest. She laid her eggs in that small nest. Soon the young ones came out of the eggs and that resided in comfortable nest. The day came when wind was blowing heavily and the raging sea stirred up mighty and big waves. A big and heavy storm was headed toward that area. The storm finally came and destroyed everything in that area. But the mother bird and the three young ones were sleeping without any worry in their comfortable nest as if nothing had ever happened. Their nest which was built inside a rock had no effect from the storm.Bible tells us that God is the Rock as we read in Deu 32:4, "He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He." If you are hiding in the Rock of Ages, you need not to worry about anything. You will stay in perfect peace. Let the mighty storms come on your way. Let the enemy rage with his full strength. Let the mighty waves go higher and higher but it would not cover you. These storms would have no effect on you nor will it destroy you, because you are hiding in the Rock who is the almighty God Himself. He will keep you safe and sound. The Israelites went through wilderness for forty long years but they did not fade away in the wilderness because God sustained them. He walked before them, provided for them, protected them and went before them and guarded them from rear. Bible says in 1 Cor 10:4, "and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ." Bible also says in Neh 9:21, "Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness, They lacked nothing; Their clothes did not wear out And their feet did not swell."That's what the almighty God will do if you are hiding in Him. If He is your Rock, if He is your savior, He will keep you in perfect peace. Let hell brake loose around you, it will not affect you but you will stay in perfect peace. Yes, His name is "Prince of Peace." Let the perfect peace of Jesus Christ rule in your hearts and minds and you will stay in perfect peace in this troubled world.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
