When I spoke to my sister about creating Father's day website she replied, "there are no good graphics available except cars, golf, watches etc." I said, "it is because fathers like golf, cars, clocks and these type of stuff." If you want to please someone, you must exactly know what the best thing is that will make him/her happy. 20th June is the Father's day. This day is celebrated to honor our fathers and on this day we do stuffs that make them happy.Even in my childhood days, I understood that if I will not do according to the will of my parents, I will be in great danger of being scolded or being punished. Math homework was the most difficult moment for me. Whenever I went to solve math problem to my Dad and if I did any mistake in my homework , my notebooks and books would fly on air and I would watch trembling in my shoes with tears in my eyes. One day my brother was doing his homework. He did some mistake in writing in his notebook, so instead of erasing he simply tore half of the page of his notebook. When my dad saw it, he got so angry that he threw his notebook through the window to the yard. If we really wanted to please our parents, we needed a perfect and neat work that contained no errors and which was according to the will of our parents. God also wants us to live in His perfect will. If we want to please God, we need to do according to the will of God. Once Jesus was preaching to multitudes and His brother and mother stood outside and they were calling Him. When Jesus came to know about that He said in Mark 3:33-35, "Who is My mother, or My brothers?" And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother."Very often I heard people asking, "will the loving God punish us with the torments of hell"? Well, look at the life of Adam and Eve. As long as they lived in obedience to God, they had no problems, but when they disobeyed God, they got punishment from God. They lost the place of their comfortable garden where they had no toil, hard work, sweating, no pain, no sorrow or tears and they enjoyed in the presence of God. One side God is loving, caring and compassionate but on the other side He is a just God who judges and punishes according to our mistakes and wrongdoings. Bible says in Prov 3:11-12, "My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor detest His correction; for whom the LORD loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights."God wants to correct our lives and wants to see us in heaven. It is not God who sends us to hell but it is our sinful and lawless deeds that make God unhappy. Yet God does not want anybody to perish but have eternal life and live in heaven forever with Him. Because of His great love, He came down in this world and gave His life for us. Bible says in John 3:16-17, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."Today with great love He is calling you to return to His fold and become His sons and daughters and live a life pleasing to Him. Will you hear His call and surrender your life to Him?We wish you all fathers a very happy and blessed father's day. May God help you to live a life centered in His perfect will.
3 John 1:2-4, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth."John the apostle wrote in these verses and expressed his will for Gaius whom he loved. God also wishes to see us prosperous and blessed. Let us look and ascertain what the will of God is for us.1. We should not perish:John 3:16-17, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."No one wants to see their loved one die or suffer. If you are a parent you would never love to see your child die. Death is painful and horrible. Spiritual death is as painful as physical death. God says in Isa 43:26-27, "Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted. Your first father sinned, And your mediators have transgressed against Me." Bible also tells us in Rom 3:23, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."Though they sinned but God made a way out. We read in Isa 43:25 "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins." It is God's will that we should not perish but have eternal life. That is the reason why He came down in this world and died for us. He shed His precious blood on the cross so that we could get forgiveness of our sins and live spiritually again.2. Prosper in all things as your Soul prosper: Every parent wants that their children grow properly and not be retarded. God also wants His children whom He bought with His precious blood, grow and prosper spiritually as well as in every areas of their lives. Yes, it is His will that He should bless the lives of His children. It is not His will that you may live in misery and pain. It is not His will that you may always be in pity parties. It is not His will that you may live a defeated life but He wants you to be prosperous. He wants that your life be filled with joy and peace.Today you may be living in misery and pain. You may be shedding bitter tears but if you look to Jesus, He can change your circumstances and make you prosperous and blessed. You may be going through financial crisis and may be thinking, 'how long I have to go through this?' But if you trust in God, He will certainly make a way.3. Be in health:Health and healing is a blessing which God wants to add in our lives. He wants to remove our sicknesses from our lives. When the Israelites came out of Egypt, God said to them Deu 7:15, "And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you." Today you may be going through different sicknesses. It may be big or small but it is God's promise that He will take away from you all sickness. No sickness will afflict you. Are you suffering from diseases that has no cure, God can heal you. It is His will to see you in perfect health. He took our infirmities on the cross so that we could live sickness free.4. Walk in the Truth:Apostle John writes that, "there is no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." If you have known the truth, if you are saved by the grace of God, it is your duty to walk in the truth. Christian life is not a one day experience but it is a continuously striving experience to live a holy life and walking in His will. It is the greatest joy of God when His children walk in the truth and obey Him.Yes, the will of heavenly father is to see you live forever, blessed, prosperous, in perfect health and walk in the truth. He is ready to give you this wonderful life. Just look to Him and ask Him.
Our "Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer meeting" will be conducted on 13th July 2004. In this Fasting Prayer special prayers will be offered for troops that are deployed in difficult areas where conflict is going on. We will be praying for their protection. As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
