Today in America obesity is on the rise. New research shows that many kids are obese and that they need medical help. Dr. William Dietz of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said, "The new study changes the perspective that obesity is simply a cosmetic problem to really focus on ... childhood obesity as a serious medical problem.'' When other problems and diseases are increasing, obesity is emerging as a new sickness. Is there any solution for it? Is there a way to get complete cure from this disease? The Bible says that God of the Bible is the healing God who wants to heal all our sicknesses. In Psalms 103:3 we read, "Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases." And in Exodus 15:26, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you."So if obesity is considered as sickness, then God can heal it too because He is interested in your physical healing just as He is interested in your spiritual healing. Jesus said in John 8:32, "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." You may be obese today or you may be having different kinds of sicknesses that are bothering you. Or you may be in bondage of sin and additions. Jesus Christ came in this world to make you free. He came in this world to deliver us from all our bondages, sicknesses and problems. Today, He has solution for your problem. Doctors may not have an answer for your sickness. Your loved ones may not be having a solution for your heartbreaks and tears. People around you may not have a solution for your problems but there is a God who can and will deliver you, if you look to Him. He will heal your sicknesses and make you whole.Almost fifty-five years ago India was not a free country. British and Dutch governments ruled this land. But Indians fought for their freedom and India became a free nation on 15th Aug. 1947. They got deliverance and freedom because many brave young men and young women shed their precious lives for their country. In the same way Jesus shed His precious blood to deliver us from our sin, addiction and to make us free. He gave His life for our deliverance. His freedom is available today. He is ready to bear your burdens and make you free.On the 56th independence day of India our best wishes.
India is celebrating its 56th Independence Day on 15th Aug 2003. It was in the year 1947 when India got complete freedom from its foreign yoke. Well this freedom was bought about after lots of sacrifices and bloodshed. Many became martyrs for earning this freedom or Independence. But Bible speaks about the greater yoke that is called SIN, which has controlled human beings from centuries. It has ruined many lives in hell from centuries. Bible describes that only blood shed is the way out or remedy from this yoke. Heb 9:22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. Nothing can give us redemption except through only Jesus. Nothing can save us from this yoke of sin, but only the shed blood of Jesus Christ can. Redemption of human soul requires pure, innocent and blameless blood. And this type of pure, sinless blood is only available from God Himself. God saw that the redemption of human soul required holy and sinless blood and so He did not hesitate to send His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. He was not ashamed to send His only Son to face cruel death on the Cross. Why? He could not see His own creation perishing in hell fire. He could not see the pathetic death of His own handiwork. That is the love of God. Yes Jesus came to save you and me. He came and died on behalf of you and me so that we may not perish forever in hell. He came to give us freedom. He became ransom for many. He became sacrifice to save us from eternal damnation. Yes there is no second chance after death. Once you die in sin after that there is no escape, there is no way out. Many do not have the realization of what will happen after this life on earth is over. Somebody said, "who cares about after death, but think about the life after birth." Yes many think, "who has seen what will happen after death." Many live as if they are going to live in this earth forever. But Bible says very clearly that after death there is a judgment. Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,One day you have to stand before the almighty God to give the account of your life. He will ask you, "the life, which I gave to you what you've done with it. I gave my life for you to give you freedom from SIN what have you done with that." What will be your reply then? Yes my friend you may not find any excuse at that time. Jesus came to give us freedom. He came to give us redemption. Let us see what kind of redemption the blood of Jesus brings. 1. Freedom from Sin2. Freedom from Satan1. Freedom from Sin:Yes Blood of Jesus brings eternal redemption for us. Jesus died for our sins. 1 John 1:7 .........and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.Through the shed blood of Jesus you can receive Salvation for your soul. He paid the price for our Salvation on Calvary's Cross but we have to accept it. He does not push anybody to receive it. He does not force anybody to receive this Salvation. But those who willingly accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they become the children of God. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 2. Freedom from SatanSatan is a very clever guy. He knows how to trick people, how to fool people. You may wonder how. There are many ways Satan works in the lives of people. Today many are in New Age religion, occults, witchcraft and many such things. I was watching a Christian program and there was the testimony of a woman, who was a very famous dancer, who was in Hollywood working in movies. Satan appeared before her as an alien and spoke to her saying that she has been chosen to spread the New age religion and it is a new religion. It will be a one-world religion. We read in Revelation that Antichrist will bring a one-world government and one world religion. Satan tricked her to do things, which was not good in the sight of God. Her life became miserable. Cutting a long story short finally one day Satan tried to kill her. A big door fell on her head. She was paralyzed and had to spend months in hospital and finally she was suicidal. But somebody told her about Jesus and prayed for her. Jesus healed her completely and she got saved. Yes today many are in New age and in occults practicing witchcraft. It may look like a joke but it is not. Many are doing witchcraft to control people to destroy others. If you are that kind of a person you must know that destruction is ahead of you. If you will not repent from your sins one day Satan will destroy your soul for eternity. God gives 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit. And one of them is gift of Discernments of spirits. If you have this gift you can discern things. I visited many homes but there were some homes when I visited them I could literally know that the home was having the evil presence of demons. Once I visited a home. As soon as I entered their home a deep depression and dullness came upon me. I felt that something was very wrong in that home. Well I sat there and regretted several times thinking, "why I came to this house." Night came and I went to bed but there was nothing unusual. I can say that I slept well. Morning at 6 I woke up and was thinking, "well night was ok in this home no demons were bothering me." It was still little dark and as I turned to look I saw that my brother was sitting. I asked him, "What is wrong with you why you are awake so early." He said, "I did not sleep for the whole night as my right leg was badly aching and it was getting numb let's get out of this house as soon as possible." I was much worried and so I laid my hands on his leg and started praying. But nothing happened. I gave up thinking that nothing is happening but I just sat there and started praying by myself. I was much worried asking God, "What is going on here why he is not getting healed." After may be 5-10 minutes later I saw a vision. I saw a pillar, which looked like old marble. And in my vision I saw that a tall demon was fleeing from behind that pillar. I had no clue as to what the meaning of that vision was and where might be that pillar. But one thing I knew was that some demon had left. Again I laid my hands on the leg of my brother and prayed. Instantaneously that pain left him. He was healed completely and that pain never returned. The whole day I was thinking where could I find that pillar. Is it some gate where this pillar is? But I saw only one pillar in my vision and there were no gates with it. I had no clue. Whole day I was sitting in the same house in their drawing room. I had no clue where the pillar could be but it was in the same drawing room. Suddenly my eyes fell on the front portion and to my surprise I saw an old marble pillar like a decoration. That's it I said in my heart, "it is the same pillar which I saw in my vision." As soon as the demon of that house left the leg pain also left with it. Many are doing witchcraft and without their knowledge they are inviting demons, evil spirits to their home. The more they practice witchcraft, the more the strongholds of Satan increases and those demons stay in their homes. These demons bring sicknesses, depression, dullness and many other problems in their lives. What about you? Are you practicing witchcraft? Are you aware how demons could enter your house? Let me share one more of my own experience. Years back in my church in India there was a woman. She was very friendly to my family. One day she said, "I am going to visit Velangani do you want me to bring anything for you. I never had been to Velangani so I had no idea what is there. I said, well I like to wear Cross-around my neck so if you get a good necklace or something with beautiful cross I would like it. Velangani is a place in Tamil Nadu India where a big church is built. It is called The Church of Our Lady of Health. The story behind it says that Mary (mother of Jesus) appeared to some shepherd on 1560 and asked milk for baby Jesus. Later there a big church was built and people visit this place as a holy shrine and get healed. Well after that she returned from this place and brought a steel chain with cross in it. The cross was not an empty cross but Jesus was hanging on that cross. So my mom said, "Jesus is already resurrected, He is risen Lord, He is not still hanging on the cross so you should not wear this cross." I said ok I'd keep it in my house so I hung it on the wall. The same night I felt something mysterious. I felt as if somebody is choking my throat. I literally felt a hand around my neck though I was seeing nothing. Next morning when I woke up my cousin Suganthi who was with us at our house that time told me, "I do not know what necklace you brought, but while I was praying at night I felt a strange demonic presence in our house." She told me to throw it away. So I decided to throw it away and while I was going to throw it away a thought flashed in my mind, "are you going to throw away the Cross of Jesus." Well I walked one block away from my house and there was a huge open ground and I threw it there. As soon as I threw it away the mysterious demonic presence also left, and afterwards there was no such demonic presence. Well I do not know who did the witchcraft on it, the Velangani people who sold it or the woman who gave it to me, but it was witchcrafted. Many times we bring such things in our home, which create lots of troubles. Many times we get gifts from people and if it is witchcrafted without our knowledge we bring demons in our house. I heard many such stories that people brought such things in their homes and they got Cancer and many other sicknesses and even some were possessed by demons. Well we've to be careful what we are bringing to our house. Many music brings demons with it, many demons get into house because of watching movies and some psychics thing on TV. You never know what you are watching on TV, but it could be very dangerous for your soul. Watch out, stay away from unnecessary things. Jesus came to give us freedom not only from SIN but also from Demons. Receive Him into your life as your Lord and Savior. Cover yourself all the time with precious blood of Jesus. It will protect you from all kinds of evil. Stay away from filthy things. Lord has called us into freedom through His Son so do not lose this freedom for which He died and shed His precious blood. If you are still bound in sin, if you are still leading a filthy life you can come out of it. Whatever may be your sins Lord is able to cleanse your life.Please pray this prayer from the bottom of your heart Lord Jesus I am a sinner. Lord I am not able to lead a holy life. Please come into my heart. Wash away all my sins in your precious blood. Cleanse me and make me clean. I pray in Jesus name Amen.
Atheists believe that there is no God and they consider others those who believe in God as fools. Once an Atheist person asked me, "How an intelligent person can ever believe in God? Our scientists have solution for everything today and if they do not have some solutions, I am hopeful they will find in future..." How sad it is that we relay on our scientists who are just human beings like us. How sad it is that though atheist do not believe in the existence of God but still without their knowledge they are worshipping their own intelligence, brain, scientific inventions, science and scientists. Does our brain have capacity to know everything or is it omniscient? I can say that at least my brain does not have this capacity to have all knowledge. And there is no one in this whole world who knows everything - past, present and future or knowledge of every subject. There are hundreds of things that are puzzling to our scientists. They do not have all the solutions as they believe. They have achieved so many things, but in spite of all these modern technologies we are helpless as we were in the beginning of the world. There is no scientist in this planet earth who can tell us about the next moments of our lives. But when we read the Bible we can see how God showed the future of people. God said to Moses that He will not allow him to go to the Promised Land but He told Moses to go up the mount Nebo and watch the land that He would give to Israel. In Deuteronomy 32:49 "Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, across from Jericho; view the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel as a possession. I read somewhere that, "Mount Nebo is ten kilometers west of Madaba in Jordan. It is the highest point in the Moabite range and commands a spectacular view of the Holy Land, southern Jordan and the Dead Sea. On a clear day, holy places in Jerusalem and Bethlehem are visible." Now how Moses knew that if he would stand at the mount Nebo, he could see the land of Israel? Only God could tell him. Another instance about Rebekah when she was pregnant. In those days when medical science was not this advanced there was no way to predict whether boy or girl will be born or twins or only one child! But we read in Gen 25:22-24, '"But the children struggled together within her; and she said, "If all is well, why am I like this?" So she went to inquire of the LORD. And the LORD said to her: "Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger." So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb.'Not only that but when both Esau and Jacob grew up, the prophecy came just true as Rebekah was told by God. Jacob the younger became stronger. How it was possible for Rebekah to know this accurate future of his kids? There is no other way except through the wisdom of God. Human brain cannot predict the future with this accuracy. This wisdom is beyond our imagination.Today with our entire modern technology scientist do not have power over life. There is no solution for a dead person in science. No scientist could ever bring a dead person to life. But Bible records many amazing miracles of dead coming in life. Scientist do not understand those things so they simply say, "It never happens." Not only that but also scientists are unable to create life till this time. They are unable to create any living creature from scratch. They have studied and tried to copy the existing structure. How you would call brain all-powerful who cannot do certain things?There are many natural resources that are not even duplicated in labs. We human being do not have ability to produce water, coal, petroleum and some commonly found natural things in the lab. Even today we depend on weather for irrigation of crops and vegetables. Today scientists are worried because natural resources are decreasing rapidly. Many rivers are vanishing from the maps of the world. Once I heard that almost 150 years from now there would be no water in Niagara Falls. Scientists do not have a system that could accurately tell them when and where earthquake or tornado would come. But we read in the Bible how God accurately told Joseph the father of Jesus to get out of Bethlehem and to go to Egypt because Jesus' life was not safe in that land as we read in Mat 2:13, 'Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him."'And after they departed, Herod the King ordered to kill all the children two years old and under two years old. Who could have known the heart of the king that he will take this type of action? No one except God. Human wisdom cannot tell us what type of action other person will take and how to prepare for that. If you are heartbroken there is no fix for it in the dictionary of science. Science might have made life easy for us but there is no solution to get perfect peace through scientific method. But Jesus said in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." And in Isa 26:3, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."When Jesus was about to leave this world He promised to send Holy Spirit and said that He will show us the things to come. We read in John 16:13, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."Yes, there is a God who loves us, cares for us, wants to comfort us, wants to bless us and wants to make us smile. There is a Creator who is far greater than science and technologies. Who wants to reveal our future and wants to guide us in all truth. He wants to show us our future. If you ask Him to come into your life, He will come in and bless you.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
