Australian missionary Graham Stuart Staines and his two sons Philip aged 11 and Timothy aged 7 were killed in Orissa, India on the night of January 22,1999 while they were asleep in their station wagon. A crowd of people attacked them and burnt them alive when they were in their vehicle. On 23rd Jan morning India woke up to hear the gruesome murder of the person who cared the poor, the needy and who worked relentlessly among the lepers. Whole world was stunned and shocked hearing this. Graham Staine's widow Gladys Staines and their daughter Esther found the charred bodies of their loved ones. In the midst of that great tragedy Gladys could say, "I have forgiven the persons who killed my husband and sons."Gladys Still works among the same people who killed her husband and two sons. When Gladys was asked whether she plans to leave India for good, she said, "Never! My husband and our children have sacrificed their lives for this nation. India is my home. I am happy to be here."She further said, "As I look back, I could only praise the Lord for Graham. He was a great missionary. But he was equally a great husband and a loving father.My sole focus is now to translate Graham’s dreams into reality with the construction of the leprosy referral hospital, which will cater to the needs of many patients. Kate Allanby pioneered the mission prior to Graham’s arrival."Why do Christian missionaries, evangelists and true Gospel preachers take risk like this? Why do they leave all their comforts and come to a place where they do not have such facilities of modern living, luxuries etc.? Why are they willing to sacrifice everything even their lives? The reason is very simple, "Love" - their love for Christ and for the perishing souls. Because of the Love, they do not consider their lives as precious. Because they know that life in this world is temporary and they know how terrible it is if a person loses his/her life forever and turn into hell fire.Jesus Christ came in this world for the very reason. He loved us so much that He did not even care about His own life. But He gave Himself up for us so that we could be saved. So that we could come out of our sins and live a blessed life. He went through terrible pain and sufferings just to save us from hell fire. He became the ultimate sacrifice for us so that we may live with Him forever in peace and everlasting joy. Today we have hope because of His death that we can have eternal life. We can live forever with Him because of His sacrifice. If you are serving Christ and because of it if you are suffering, do not give up because there is reward in heaven. One day God will wipe away all our tears as the Bible says in Rev 21:4, "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Yes, there is a blessed future for those who walk in the ways of the Lord. And if you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior this is the day to invite Him in your life and receive eternal life.
Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."Bible says, that when Holy Spirit will come upon you, you shall be my witness. Yes ministry without Holy Spirit is useless. Let me repeat one more time, ministry without anointing is useless. Many ministries are there. They are working day and night. Many are in full time ministry but look at their achievement, the fruits they bear, very less or no fruits at all. Though working day and night they have not brought any good results. Many ministries are just working as social organizations and so no souls were won. If your ministry is like this, if your ministry is not winning souls then let me tell you, your ministry is useless. You are just doing some social work only, which does not please God. Why these ministries are not fruitful? Why these ministries are not growing? Reason is that either they are not filled with the Holy Spirit or they are not obeying the leading of the Holy Spirit. They are working and taking effort in their worldly way. You cannot win the battle of spirit world with the effort of your flesh. You cannot defeat Satan who is the spirit of darkness with your physical effort. If you want to win the battle in the spirit realm you need the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You need the Spirit of God Himself (Holy Spirit). Zec 4:6, "So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts." Yes you cannot win the battle with Satan by your physical power, might, strength or by your human intellect, but this battle could be won only by the Spirit of God. That is why when Jesus was about to leave this world He said to His disciples, "wait for the Holy Spirit." Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me;Acts 1:5 "for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."Here we can find clearly that before they started their ministry they had to wait for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Yes Jesus did not say it in vain. He said, "wait for My Holy Spirit so that you can be witness to the end of the earth." It means that only through the power of the Holy Spirit one can become powerful witness. With the help of the Holy Spirit one can reach to the ends of the world. That is the secret of big and growing ministry. Today very few are preaching to the millions, today very few are able to win hundreds of souls for Christ. Today very few are doing effective and true ministry. Why? because these are the only few people who could learn how to become witness for Christ to the ends of the earth. These are the people who are filled with the Holy Spirit, these are the people who could hear the voice of God and could follow those instructions. Yes my friend without Holy Spirit you can do some good social work but not Gospel work. If you are a saved person you may win some souls here and there but your ministry will not reach upto it's full potential. That's why many ministries do lot of hard work but get poor results.Disciples of Jesus began their ministry with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself began His ministry with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:38, "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." You can see very clearly from Bible that Jesus was anointed first (Mat 3:16). Then He fasted for forty days (Mat 4:1) and after this His ministry began. Mat 3:16, "When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him." Jesus is our example. He Himself began His ministry with anointing and fasting. The same thing He taught to His disciples. That's why He said to them, "wait in Jerusalem till you receive My anointing." They waited and Bible describes that in the upper room 120 people including the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.Acts 2:3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.Now here we find clearly that when they were filled with the Holy Spirit they all spoke in other tongues (Acts 2:4). Today many are preaching and teaching that all are filled with the Holy Spirit. Some say, "you are not speaking in tongues but still you are spirit filled." That's a lie from devil himself. If somebody teaches you such things you must know that they are false teachers and prophets. Paul spoke in other tongues or language. 1 Cor 14:18, "I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all;" Disciples spoke in other language when they got filled with the Holy Spirit and it is the sign of the filling of the Holy Spirit. Here is another example:When Paul went to Ephesus, he laid hands on people and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other language.Acts 19:2 he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit."Acts 19:6, "And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied."Does it not mean that God anoints people also in today the same way?Yes indeed, today also people receive the same experience. God did not change. When a person receives Holy Spirit, the sign of speaking in other language follows. That is the one and only indication that a person is spirit filled or having the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I got saved on 3rd Nov. 1981. That was the day when Jesus came into my heart as my Lord and Savior. After this experience my life started changing. I quit reading Novels, watching movies, hearing movie songs, TV serials whatever is not Christian. But I was still not filled with the Holy Spirit. After sometime I came to know about the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I started praying for this great gift. I almost prayed for one year. And in the year 1984 God anointed me with His Holy Spirit in Br. S.R. Manohar's meeting. When I got the anointing for the first time I spoke in other language. After this till now the same experience is continuing. Yes my friend, it is a very precious experience. You cannot buy it with millions of $$$, precious stones or diamonds. But if you are a saved person you are entitled for this anointing. You can receive this anointing by pleading before God. Bible says, "ask and it shall be given unto you." Ask for this and one day God will surely fill you with His precious Holy Spirit.Well this anointing changed me forever. I always thought, "how to lead a holy life, how to do things which pleases God, how to walk in His ways and obey Him." This desire was eating me up night and day. Yes the anointing of the Holy Spirit does that. Since my whole family got this anointing, God started speaking to us during family prayer and personal prayers. Most of the time during family prayer He speaks. He gives instruction what to do and what not to do. He says, what the next ministry is going to be, what we have to do next. That's how our ministry grew. When we came to USA seven years back we had no ministry. One day Lord said, "Start online (Internet) magazine, that's how "In Search of Peace" Magazine came into existence. After a year or so CSI newsletter started. After this Lord said, "I will take you to TV ministry, and God said to get editing machine and necessary equipments for it. So we collected some of the things and waited for Lord to open the ways for us. We waited for 2 years and one day during family prayer Lord said again, "I will take you to TV ministry." The very same day out of the blue an email came for my brother from 'World Harvest Radio'. They asked, "are you willing to get into radio." So my brother prayed and God said, "Go ahead." We got green signal from God and so we ventured into it. Still we knew that some day God would take us to TV ministry. We kept claiming those promises and waited for the Lord's time. Finally we got the TV offer in the same way as we got the Radio offer, and after much struggle we got into TV ministry. God helped us and whatever promises He gave He fulfilled those things. Yes our ministry grew that way. We did nothing to increase our ministry. We did not go asking for chance. We did not beg anybody to give us a chance to preach in church or anywhere. God led us day by day and told us what we have to do. Yes ministry is very easy if you have the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You need not to plan or work out the things by yourself but Lord leads in His own ways. It is really fun working with God. He gives the whole plan, He gives step-by-step instructions and you are just following those instructions. You need not to struggle hard thinking what am I going to preach, what message I needed for tomorrow's meeting, what topic should I chose. I don't worry about those things because I don't collect my message referring to number of books or by my own intellectual ability. I just spend few hours at the feet of the Lord and hear whatever He speaks. Just right it down in a piece of paper and it's done. How simple it is. Isn't it? If you are an anointed person, if you know how to hear the voice of God it is really easy to do ministry. It is a real fun. You do not take much effort but still your ministry will be growing in rapid pace. You don't work hard to make things happen but it is God who works for you and things roll. Within the past six years our ministry grew from nothing upto TV ministry. When I look back I wonder thinking we did nothing in it. We just heard from God and acted on those things and things just rolled. Yes my friend, Anointing of the Holy Spirit is a precious gift. If you are not still anointed. If you are not still having this precious gift. Ask from God and receive it. If you are not saved get saved first to get the anointing. Believe me your ministry will change. Your ministry will grow in leaps and bounds and you will be able to win many lost souls for Christ. Your ministry will turn into fruitful and ever growing ministry. May God bless you.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
