I could never think of ending this year with this great tragedy the Tsunami disaster. In today's news it was reported that Tsunami death toll has reached 135,000 and the death toll is continuously rising. This was such a powerful earthquake that it made the earth to wobble in its axis and could permanently accelerate the earth's rotation. It also changed the map of Asia. Some of the islands have moved by 20 meters to 36 meters. This was the fourth largest earthquake in this century. I was in an atheist forum and one person wrote, "Merry Christmas and very very good wishes for the coming New Year 2005. Hope the coming year will make our mother earth a bit better place for living." I replied, "I wish and hope that the coming year make this earth peaceful and a better living place... But no, its not going to happen until the second coming of Jesus (Messiah). How I know that? Bible has many specific prophecies being fulfilled as seen from the world events which are taking place right now." When I wrote this, I had no idea that 3-4 hours later this great tragedy will occur. Today many are afraid thinking, "Is this is the end of the world?" Many fishermen who loved the sea and sea shore are now afraid of sea waves. Jesus Himself said in Luke 21:25-27, "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."Jesus also said in Luke 21:9-12, "But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately." Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake." The last part tells us that before all the chaos happens there would be great persecution of saints. In the last few years, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia and other nations have seen much persecution and much innocent blood shed. We do not know for sure when Jesus will return but it is very clear that His return is very near even at the door. Jesus is coming back to take His bride. When He comes back and if you are left behind, it would be more chaotic than today. He is not going to take every person of this world but only those who are saved by the blood of Jesus. Are you washed by the blood of Jesus? Are you ready to go with Jesus? If not, it is time to repent from your sins and turn to God. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and get rid of your sins so that you could be with Jesus when He comes back.We wish you all our readers a very happy, blessed, prosperous and Christ centered New Year! What is ahead in the Year 2005?
Now when this big tragedy has struck on the planet earth, many hearts are in fear. Many are wondering about their future and many are questioning what is going to happen next? Well, the future of those who are saved and who walk in the ways of God is in the hands of God. No matter what happens to them their future is secure in this world and in the world to come. If you are a child of God, He will exalt you, bless you and will take care of you. But if you are not a child of God, if you are not saved then there are no good days ahead of you. You can only enjoy the peace and blessings if you are a child of God.1. I will Exalt you: God will exalt those who walk in the ways of God. Joseph was a small boy who loved his father and walked in the will of his father. His father was pleased with him and he showed special favor towards him. But his brothers hated him. In the same way when we love our heavenly father and walk in the will of God, He will love us and show special favor in our life. This world will hate you but God's special favor and special blessings will be with you.All the brothers of Joseph hated him and sold him so that they could get rid of the trouble maker forever. But they were mistaken. A day came in their lives when they stood before Joseph trembling, not knowing what would happen to their future. They had no idea that it was Joseph whom they sold to be a slave in the hands of some Ishmaelites, and who became the ruler of Egypt. If you are walking in the ways of God, God will make your enemies and those who hate you to tremble before you. He will exalt you before the same people who had despised you.But if you are not a child of God there is no good future for you. Bible says that when the Israelites rebelled against God, God punished them and those who hated them ruled over them. We read in Psa 106:41-42, "And He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, And those who hated them ruled over them. Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were brought into subjection under their hand."If you want God's blessings in your life, come to Jesus and become a child of God.2. For those who honor Me I will honor:God said, "..for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. (1 Sam 2:30)" Those who honor God, God will honor them and bless them but those who despise God, He will despise them and will esteem them lightly. 3. I will make you great:When God called Abraham, He promised to make him great (Gen 12:2). The promise was big and challenges were big too. For many years he had no children, for many years he had to travel and finally reached the land which God showed him. He was afraid of his life whether he would be killed, whether his wife would be taken from him and so on. He faced great challenges in that new land. Lot his brother's son, was separated from him. He had no children and he might have thought how that great promise will come to pass in my life? But God is faithful. His promises are yea and amen in Him. What God has spoken, He will do it no matter what. A day came when Isaac was born to him and he could see the seed of his covenant between God and him. Has God told you something and you are waiting for long? Is your heart failing thinking that the promises of God is not coming to pass? Trust in God, He will fulfill His promises in due time without fail. And if you walk in His ways, He will make you great just as He made Abraham great.These are the promise of God for those who love Him and walk in His holy ways. If you call yourself a Christian but are not saved and do not walk in the ways of God, these promises are not for you. We are living in the days when anytime anything can happen. Violence, terror and destructions are increasing day by day. And I believe that bad days are ahead of us. How could you survive without Jesus? Turn to God, repent from your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Today take a decision to walk in His holy ways so that you could be saved, have eternal life and have God's blessings in your life. If you want to take a decision today, please pray with me:Lord Jesus, I have lived my life my own way. I did not walk in your ways till this time. Now I repent from my sins. Please forgive and forget all my sins and come into my life. Today, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life and be my master and Savior. Let me walk in your holy ways. Protect me from all evil and give me a place in heaven. Thank you Jesus for listening my prayer. I pray this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 14th Sep. 2010
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 14th Sep. 2010
