Psa 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble."Bible talks about a God who has concern for us. When we call upon His name He listens to us and answers our prayers. David experienced the delivering power of God in his own life. That is the reason why he wrote many Psalms praising God's deliverance in the time of trouble. In Psa 27:5 he says, "For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock." And also in Psa 41:2-3 he says, "The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed."Once I heard the true story from a preacher who belonged to a Hindu family. He lived in India. One morning his father had to go to another town for some urgent work. It was monsoon season and many bridges were submerged under water and villages were in flood because of heavy rain. As he approached a bridge the jeep in which he was traveling started wavering in water. And soon that jeep was caught in the current of flowing water. The man had no idea what to do now. As he was drowning in the flood waters, he cried out to all his gods whom he worshipped from his childhood days to no avail. There was no answer for his prayers. Then he cried out, "is there any living God who could save my life, I and my family will serve Him." As he was crying out not knowing whether any help would come his way or not, suddenly he felt a mighty hand pulling him out of the waters. The mighty hand pulled him out of the water and put him in a dry place. The mighty hand was none other than that of Jesus'. The whole family turned to Christ and started serving Him. Because he experienced this mighty deliverance in his life, his whole family believed in Jesus. Yes, this is the delivering power of Jesus Christ. How comforting words are His, written in Psa 22:5, "They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed." We also read in Psa 50:15, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me." David also says in Psa 86:7, "In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me."Bible tells us about Daniel that when he was about to be thrown in the lion's den, the king who did not even believe in the God of the Bible says in Dan 6:16, ..."Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you."Today you may be going through hard times and you might have lost all your hope but if you call upon the name of Jesus, He will deliver you. He will help you and He will wipe away the tears from your eyes. If you cry to Him, He will not allow you to be ashamed.
Mat 3:1-2 In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!"Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."Many times people write letters and ask us:“Why do you always talk about heaven, heaven and heaven in your messages? Is it such an important topic?” ”Why do you always talk about “Life after death”? Why do you not talk about “life after birth” we need to talk about this issue, how to live in this world, how to cloth, feed, and take care of our own life in our day to day needs. Who knows whether there is a life after death, who has seen if there is heaven or hell. So, why not live merrily when we are in this world. Why worry about life after death.”Well, Bible speaks about HEAVEN, more than 250 times in the New Testament itself and for more than 280 times in the Old Testament. Do you not consider it as an important issue? The above verses also clearly show that John the Baptist was speaking about heaven. He says, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” Repent and escape from the very death. Repent and escape from hell fire. Jesus says the same thing again in Mat 4:17; from that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Jesus was preaching Repentance. Jesus was preaching about turning from evil ways. Jesus was teaching about heaven. Yes, heaven is a very important subject for each and every human being. We all want to go to heaven; we all want to reach that place of joy, happiness and peace. But, many do not know the way. Many do not know how to reach heaven. Many, including the people who are in Christian homes, do not know how to receive salvation. Today you can see what the Muslim terrorists are doing. They are trying to kill as many Jews and Christians, thinking that it will help them to reach heaven. You can see every day in TV, how they are capturing innocent people and beheading them just in the name of religion. They want to reach heaven but do not know the right way. They do not know that Jesus is the only way to heaven. Hindus believe in re-incarnation. They think that through re-incarnation or the cycle of re-birth, they can attain moksha (salvation). But it never happens and it is not the way to reach heaven. I am not here to offend anybody but it is the reality.By the way, what is re-incarnation? Hindus believe that after death a person takes re-birth in another body. They believe that a person can take birth in the form of another human or in the form of animal. Hinduism: the cycle of death and rebirth, is considered the ultimate goal of earthly existence. This is known as Moksha (salvation)Medical science and science denies these facts of re-incarnation. As well as Bible also denies re-incarnation. Science or medical science does not prove it as a fact. Why?. 1. No one ever claimed in history that they have taken re-birth from a dog, cat or horse or whether they were a spider, snake, bird or scorpion in their previous birth. It means re-birth in the form of animal is false. 2. Medical science has proved that human and animal structure has major differences. Human being has soul, spirit and mind where as animals have life and mind (they have ability to react or fulfill their natural needs like finding food, raising kids, building nest etc.). Soul is a missing part in animals. They do not have ability to think about God or their creator, they cannot worship God or think of reaching heaven. Plants also have life like animals.Human beings have soul. That is why they have the ability to recognize themselves. They have personality, they have ability to worship God and know who they are and from where they came from. But animals do not have all these powers. They cannot even recognize themselves if you put them in-front of a mirror. So a human being cannot take re-birth in the form of an animal or plant. So again re-incarnation theory fails.3. Medical science has proved again that at the time of the death of a human being, a few ounces of weight decreases. It means something (soul) leaves the body at the time of death. But in the case of animals it does not happen. Bible speaks about the same thing that soul or spirit returns to its creator.Eccl 12:6, Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, Or the golden bowl is broken, Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, Or the wheel broken at the well. Eccl 12:7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.4. We hear many stories about people who had died and after a few days or after two –three months they were born in a new home, which also proves that reincarnation theory is false, because medical science clearly indicates that it takes atleast 9 months of gestation period for a child to be born. 5. Many other things like people who talk about old forgotten things (known to another person who is already dead) or they suddenly start playing piano like a professional or start speaking English or French language fluently as never before, all these things also indicate that it happens because of demon possession and not because of re-incarnation. Well, Bible also clearly says that there is only one life and after this there is judgment. We do not have several chances. We do not have several ways to reach heaven. Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,” Life is very short and it is very precious. We do not have much time to wait and think about many things. Yes, nobody knows when life will end. You never know how much time you have at your disposal. You never know how many days and years you have to enjoy the pleasures of this world. The people who died in the twin tower might never have thought that it would be their last day on earth. No, they went as usual for their work and they might have never thought that they would not see another day in their life. I still remember the pathetic scene of World trade center collapse. I was watching the live broadcast and it was horrific. Smoke and fire were billowing toward the sky and people were hanging from the windows with no hope. People were jumping out from the 100th story, bodies were falling from that tall building. Can you imagine how short this life is? Life is very precious and going to heaven is a must. Bible says that after death, soul goes to one of two places. It is either Hell or Heaven. There is no other choice. You have the choice of one out of these two places. That is why Jesus also preached Repentance. Life is precious. That is why Jesus came down into this world to die for you and me. If heaven was not that important, He (Jesus) would have stayed with comfort in heaven. He would not have come to die the cruel death on the Cross. No, Jesus died for you and for me so that we may not perish, so that we may not die in sin. I still remember the real story of a woman who was born in a Christian home but who did not care for heaven or for Jesus. She was mocking all the preachers who were preaching the true Gospel. She said all through her life, “there is no God, there is no heaven, there is no hell, these preachers are liars scaring people with their heaven and hell stories.” She said, “all the preachers must be shot, all the churches must be burned down because there is no God.” But what happened to her at her dying moments? She was dying still without Christ or salvation. She said on her death-bed, ”please tell me there is no hell! Oh, tell me! There is no hell. I said there wasn’t any hell. I said every preacher ought to be killed. I am afraid! Oh, I am afraid! I am afraid! It is so dark, it is so dark. It is so dark. I am going into utter darkness. And with these words she died. She had no chance to repent, she had no chance to accept Christ as her Lord and Savior at her death-bed. Yes paradise lost forever and forever for her. A woman being in a Christian home still could not find Christ.She lived in riches with money at her command, she had every thing in her life, but life without Christ is useless. You might be in a good position, you might be very rich, you might have big mansion, car and servants. But if finally you lose everything and get nothing, that is, zero in your life what would be the use of that? If you got everything but lose heaven, lose your own soul for eternity what would be the use of this life? Have you ever thought about it? Have you ever thought, “where am I going? From where did I come? Who created me? What is the purpose of this life? If I lose heaven to perish in hell fire forever and for ever what would be the use of this life?” Have you ever pondered about these things? Heaven is real as hell is also real. If you will not accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior you will end up in hell. Life is too short to think and to wait before taking decisions. Decide today for Christ. If you are not saved till today, if you are still without salvation, decide for Jesus today itself. Do not delay. Tomorrow may be too late. You never know when life will end but if you decide today you can live without fear of future. You can live with peace knowing that your destiny is safe, knowing that you are the child of God and you have a place in heaven. Book your ticket today itself, do not wait for tomorrow. Please pray this prayer from the bottom of your heart:Lord Jesus I am a sinner. I heard all through my life that you died for me and that you came to save me from eternal damnation. Lord Jesus today I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart. Forgive and forget all my sins. Wash me with your precious blood. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Make me a new creation. When I close my eyes in this world take me in heaven. I pray in Jesus precious name Amen.
Many have different opinion about Jesus. Many believe that Jesus was a good man who taught many good things to people. Many believe that Jesus did mighty miracles but now these types of miracles do not happen. Many believe that Jesus is God and many do not. But who Jesus is for us or for me individually? Savior of the World: Bible tells us in Mat 18:11, "For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost." At the time of His birth angels sang sweetly and proclaimed about the birth of the Savior as we read in Luke 2:10-11, "Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."When Jesus was not even born, an angel came to Joseph and said to him in Mat 1:21 "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." When Jesus was not even born we read In Luke 1:46-47, Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior."Jesus grew up and started preaching. His preaching and His life reflected the very purpose for which He came in this world. He started His ministry with the message of repentance and kingdom of God. When a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews came to Jesus, Jesus said to him in John 3:3, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Then Jesus went on explaining that a person who is born in this world is a physical being but he/she needs to be born spiritually if he/she wants to get into heaven. It was hard for Nicodemus to understand. But Jesus made it clear that no matter how big a religious leader he might be, he needed to be born again. Today also each and every person needs to be born again no matter how big or how small they may be. Unless you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God. Bible tells us in John 1:12-13, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."Healer and Deliverer:Many have problem with those evangelists who pray for sick. But our God is a healing God who wants to deliver us from our misery and pain. Once a person wrote to me and said, God does heal, He just does not do it in big shows and things like some healing ministers carry on.But Bible is very clear that Jesus conducted big meetings where multitudes gathered to listen to Him, to get healing and His blessings. There were times when more than five thousand men attended His meetings. Bible tells us in Mat 14:14, "And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick." Oh, sickness and problems are not blessings and God wants to deliver you from your sicknesses and problems. When Jesus saw that multitudes were following Him and when they had nothing to eat, He was moved with compassion for them. As we read in Mat 15:32, Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way."This is the real Jesus who could not see people suffering and getting weary and when He saw them in problems, He was moved with compassion. But there are many out there who will tell you that, God's healing power has ceased and He does not heal anymore, He does not deliver anymore, He does not care about your personal affairs anymore. Obviously they are not following the Jesus of Bible but they are following some miserable god who does not care about them. Jesus of the Bible cares for you and He wants to bless your life.Gives Prosperity:Those who followed the God of the Bible were prosperous. Some of the names are Abraham, David and Hezekiah. Bible tells us that when they walked in the ways of God, God added prosperity in their lives. God said to Joshua in Josh 1:7, "Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go."But many will tell you otherwise. They will tell you that prosperity is not in God's will. Moses warned Israelites in Deu 11:26-28, "Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known."Jesus wants us to prosper and be blessed. Let us walk in the ways of God so that blessings and prosperity of God may come in our lives.

Please pray for India so that all the violence against innocent people may be stopped.Jaipur Aug. 10, A group of 28 persons from Banswara led by Fr Steven Rawat who were to attend a workshop organised by Catholic Relief Services(CRS) and the Diocese of Ajmer were halted at Chitaurgarh by the Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena and others of the Sangh Parivar on the grounds that the tribals including women and children were being led to a conversion ceremony. ("The Hindu," August 11, 2004) The Rajasthan Muslim Forum today accused the State Government of showing communal bias in handling the situation in the violence-hit Sarada village in Udaipur district, from where most of the Muslim families have migrated following an attack by tribals. It alleged that the violence was planned and executed on the "Gujarat pattern''.
Very many thanks for regularly sending me Newsletters. Every message leading to, Redemptive Sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross for us/me by shedding of His Precious Blood on the Cross to pay for our sins. That we are so very great a sinner that nothing less than the sacrifice of God through His son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ could save us. That His divine Love for us sinners was so very great that He willingly died on the cross for us. That His rising up from the dead on the third day proves that God accepted His Sacrifice for us sinners. That we inherit Eternal Life by believing in His Eternal Sacrifice. As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
