After Sarah's death Abraham was concerned about his son Isaac's wedding. Bible tells us that how Abraham gave instructions to his old servant for searching a bride for Isaac. He was specific about it as we read in Gen 24:37-40, "Now my master made me swear, saying, 'You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell; but you shall go to my father's house and to my family, and take a wife for my son. And I said to my master, 'Perhaps the woman will not follow me.' But he said to me, 'The LORD, before whom I walk, will send His angel with you and prosper your way; and you shall take a wife for my son from my family and from my father's house.'"In the above verses we read that how Abraham was aware of the importance of finding a right girl for his son. In a circumstance like theirs Isaac could have easily slipped away from the will of God. They were in a strange land where no one was following their God - the Yahweh God. The people around them were worshipping other gods. In that land Isaac was born to a wealthy man named Abraham. Even in the midst of all those circumstances he walked in the ways of God and kept himself pure. Bible tells us that Isaac was a man of faith. I have seen many parents striving hard for their children that they do not adopt the new culture or bad things in their surroundings and it is ongoing clash between parents and children. But if we adopt the Bible-culture, we need not to worry about anything. Isaac lived among strange people yet he was faithful to God and kept himself away from the world.Now Isaac got married at the age of forty. Bible does not give reasons why Abraham waited for Isaac's marriage until Isaac reached to the age of forty years. But it seems to me that he waited until God's timing. Meanwhile Abraham had constantly in his mind that he and his son both were called for special purpose and they have to do everything in their power to make it happen. Are you waiting on God for important decision of your life whether marriage or business or any other important matter of your life and you may be feeling that God is not in the scene anywhere. Are you feeling that it took long and nothing is happening? Hang on there because heavenly Father has not forgotten your needs but in His mind He is constantly thinking about your future. He has a better plan for you if only you can trust in Him. When time came Abraham called his oldest servant and specifically instructed him to go to his Father's house to find a bride for Isaac and not to take a bride from Canaanites. If you have given your life to Jesus, you must learn to go back to "Father's house" and take a bride(groom) for you from Father's house instead of choosing a non-Christian. You may be in a good Christian Church but let me tell you that every person in your church is not from Father's house. But only those who are washed by the blood of Jesus and born in Spirit according to John 1:12, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."Today many born-again Christians' married life is a complete mess. Oh, the heartbreaking stories of young men and women that comes in our mailbox breaks our hearts. God never intended this type of messed up life for His children. Very often people quote in their marriage invitation the verse from Psa 118:23, "This was the Lord's doing; It is marvelous in our eyes" but later many of them realize that their marriage was not Lord's doing and it is not at all marvelous. The reason is very simple, either they did not go back to Father's house to choose a bride or groom for himself or herself or never wanted to know the will of the Father for their lives. Abraham's servant not only returned to the "father's house" but praying in his heart for divine intervention of God. He was asking God to show him right girl. God heard his prayers and showed him right girl. Though he did not know at first that Rebecca was from Abraham's family yet God led him to the right place. It is possible that you may be saved and the bride/groom you are looking also is saved but it may not be the right person for you. Ask God to guide you to the right place. The same God who led Abraham's servant will lead you to the right spot.If you read the story of Isaac and Rebecca, you can see how marvelously they were united. It was not mere a coincident but was the Lord's doing. Lord united them and the Bible tells us that Isaac loved her and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.(Gen 24:67)" A bride/groom from heavenly Father's house will bring comfort and consolation and blessings in your life. You may say, "I did a mistake and now I am a married person, what should I do now?" Well, repent and turn to God. Invite Him in your family. He can forgive your sins and make your home a blessed home. A home filled with His divine peace.
The full form of CSINA is "Church of South India in North America". In my last letter I mentioned that a few individuals hijacked CSINA. The self proclaimed General Secretary of "new" CSINA wrote in his letter titled "Introducing Church of South India of North America (CSINA)" that, "Church of South India of North America, hereafter to be known as CSINA, functionally an autonomous body, is a union of churches of varying traditions hailing from South India. CSINA has been providing religious, educational and associated services throughout the United States for over twenty-five (25) years. As you are also aware, CSINA has been using the above-pictured trademark in association with such services. CSINA has also been using the word mark CHURCH OF SOUTH INDIA in association with its services for over twenty-five (25) years. Through extensive use and promotion, CSINA has generated substantial goodwill and recognition in its marks, and it has accordingly obtained a United States Trademark Registration for its logo." And further it says, "For the effective united organizational church functions, it is the responsibility of all the CSI Congregations and believers to rally round this organization and strengthen it as an efficient witnessing fellowship in Christ."A few days later when real CSINA secretary wrote, "There is also an email being circulated dated Sept. 10, 2005 with "Introducing Church of South India of North America..." as the subject and from Mr. Shibu Kurian. Please note the use of the word "introducing" which indicates that this is something new and at the same time says this group has been around for 25 years. You may wonder why something that has been around for 25 years is being introduced only on Sept. 10, 2005?" Then the self-proclaimed Public Relations Officer replied, "Contrary to ill-founded reports currently in circulation, CSINA is not a fly-by-night operation that came into existence out of the blue. We have been around for over 25 years, although operating under other names, which thankfully, have become defunct. In order to establish a viable and solid structure and in order to provide legitimacy and discipline in all areas of operation, the CSINA was registered as an autonomous body during the first quarter of 2003. Consequently, the CSINA also took ownership of the service and trade marks."The same letter also says, "CSINA takes this opportunity to invite each and every congregation to be a part of this resurgence. Formal invitation letters will be mailed to congregations and individuals shortly. All congregations are encouraged to seek General Body approval and confirm your membership in the CSINA as early as possible. Hereafter there will only be one Family & Youth Conference at a national level and this will be conducted under the auspices of the CSINA. With the passage of time and subject to adequate growth of our linguistic groups, the possibility of organizing regional conferences can be discussed. Congregations that would like to continue using the CSI name and logo will be expected to confirm their membership in the CSINA no later than 60 days prior to the start of the next family and youth conference."One may think that why every congregation needs to take membership of this new organization "CSINA" if the organization is really functioning from last 25 years? They have already served Lawyer notices to Council officials. They also made one of the Yahoo groups named csina_interact to be deleted because this forum listed all the black deeds of the founders of so called CSINA. Now the situation is unless congregations that were using “Church of South India” from about 60 years, take membership of this so called "CSINA" within eight months or they will no longer be able to use the name and logo of "Church of South India" nor will be able to function as "Church of South India". What a sad story! When we read story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden we see that God gave everything into their hands but devil came and lured them with all his deception. And took away their blessings and fellowship of God from their lives. When they gave up their authority to devil, they had no other choice either they should always to be slaves of devil as they became the member of devil's family OR repent from their sins and turn to God and become God's children ones again. My dear friend, today also you have the two choices. 1. You can continue to serve devil and his will and plans continuing in sin and wickedness OR 2. You can repent and turn to God leaving behind your sins and past. Choice is yours. The blood of Jesus is available for you to cleanse us from all your sins. Will you listen to His voice and turn to Him?
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
