Once we purchased a shawl (duppata) for my sister. My sister did not like it nor anyone in the house. The shawl had white and yellow colored stripes with village prints on it. After one or two use, she put it on ironing table as table cloth. She said, "I am not going to use it anymore." Day after day when we ironed our dresses, we saw that ugly piece of cloth.

One day she got an idea, "why don't I make a dress with it purchasing white, plain, similar material." She purchased white cloth and sewed with the shawl pieces and made a dress. When she wore at her office all girls looked at her dress and said, "what a beautiful dress it is... it looks like a party ware or a special occasion dress." When she told them the story of the shawl, nobody could believe her. The rejected, ugly piece when it came in the hands of designer, it completely changed the whole look of that ugly piece of fabric.

Today your life may be a complete mess, rejected by all, not desirable for others, full of ugliness but if you give your life in the hands of the Master, He can fix your life and change it to a beautiful, wonderful vessel. A vessel that is worthy of Him and for others. He can turn you into a vessel of honor that will radiate the qualities of holy and loving God. Apostle Paul writes in Rom 9:23-26, "and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? As He says also in Hosea: "I will call them My people, who were not My people, And her beloved, who was not beloved. And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' There they shall be called sons of the living God."

God wants to make us a vessel of honor. He wants to lift us up right where we were rejected, and wants to make us beloved of Him. He can do it only if we give ourselves in the mighty hand of God.

In the book of John we read about Jesus' first miracle in the wedding in Cana of Galilee. In the midst of the wedding feast Jesus' mother realized that they ran out of wine. She said to Jesus, "They have no wine." Then she said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it." Had she spoken from her own experience, we do not know but it seems that she somehow knew the miracle working power of Jesus. It seems that she was aware that Jesus could fix the problem. Bible further tells us that Jesus did exactly as she expected from Him.

Jesus said to the servants to fill the empty water pots and when water was filled in those pots, He said to them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom and he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!" (John 2:8-10).

This embarrassing situation could have turned to worst if it was not given in the hands of Jesus. How embarrassing it would have been for the family who arranged the feast. The celebration of wedding feast would have turned to a complete chaos. But one touch of master's hand could change everything. Even today, Jesus is able to fix problems of our life, no matter how impossible it may look. Give your problems, your heartbreaks, and your impossible situations in the mighty hand of Jesus. He will turn around your situation.

A Prophet like Moses - Part 2

By Sherly Isaac

Deu 18:18, "I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him."

Moses a Levite was born in a circumstance when Hebrews were living in Egypt and were persecuted and tortured. Exodus 1st chapter tells us that new king that came in Egypt did not know Joseph and his good work for the country, so he said to his people in Exo 1:9-12, "Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we; "come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land. Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel."

Further we read that Egyptians made their lives bitter in Exo 1:13-14, "So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with rigor. And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage; in mortar, in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. All their service in which they made them serve was with rigor."

The lives of Israelites became bitter because of their bondage and hard labor. Moreover king ordered midwives to kill Hebrew male child but save female child. But midwives did not obey him so he commanded his people saying, "Every son who is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive. (Exo 1:22)"

It was indeed a deathblow for the troubled Israelites. They could not bear the pain and sorrow they were facing and cried out to God. Bible says in Exo 2:23-25, "Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them."

God sent Moses as deliverer and redeemer to save Israelites from the bondage of slavery, and oppression. But the task was not easy. Moses had to face many obstacles. King changed his mind several times and refused to let them go. But God stretched forth His mighty arm and did mighty miracles and brought them out of Egypt.

The same God promised to send a prophet like Moses and He fulfilled His promise sending His only Son, Jesus who came to save us from the bondage of sin, sorrow, sickness and oppression of devil. He gave His precious life for our freedom. At the time of His birth angels sang in Luke 2:11, "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." And in Mat 1:21, "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

Are you under the heavy burden of sin, without peace in your life? Oppressed of devil? Are sicknesses bothering you? Are sorrows making you overwhelmed? Come to Jesus who promised to deliver and give divine peace as we read in Mat 11:28, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

With open arms He is calling, will you listen His voice and come to Him? If you do so, He will give His peace to you. He will deliver you from your sins and sorrows and will give you a new life full of peace and joy.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
