Gen 21:17-20, "And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, "What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation." Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink."Hagar was in despair and she was at the end of her life. All her hopes were cut off as the water in the skin was used up. Her son was dying and she was in the wilderness, wandering not knowing what to do. And God was not answering all this time. He was completely silent. Finally, 'she placed her son under one of the shrubs. Then she went and sat down across from him at a distance of about a bowshot; for she said to herself, "Let me not see the death of the boy." So she sat opposite him, and lifted her voice and wept. (Gen 21:15-16)' At times we reach to a place where nothing happens except despair and hopelessness. At times we feel as if God is no where in the scene and is completely silent. At times all our resources would be used up and we see no other way except death. But look at the life of Hagar. When she gave up all her hopes, God stepped in and showed her the well of water. The well was already there but she could not see it until God opened her eyes. The resources of her survival was just there but she could not see it. At times we are also unable to see resources that are just around us until God shows us. Bible says in Rom 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."Once I read a true story of an evangelist who was very poor. But he loved the Lord so much that he did not care about his poverty. He went from place to place and door to door to tell the love of Christ. Once he purchased bus ticket to go to some villages and preach the Gospel. As he was journeying, he felt small pain in his stomach. He thought that it will go away but it did not. It turned to severe pain. He was feeling to go to toilet immediately. He could not sit in his seat. He pleaded with bus driver and conductor to stop the bus for few moments. But they would not listen to him. Finally he said, "OK, please drop me at the side of the road, I will somehow catch another bus and come." Bus driver stopped the bus and dropped the poor evangelist on the road. All around him was nothing but thick jungle. He was heartbroken, wondering, why it happened to him. The money was lost and also he could not reach to his destination. Anyway, he went to the toilet in the jungle. After some time, he started feeling good. So he caught another bus. When his bus traveled several miles and reached to a certain place, he saw that the other bus by which he was traveling previously had collided with some other vehicle. Many were dead and most of the passengers suffered serious injuries. When he saw that scene, he realized how God Himself had intervened in his case and made him to go out of that bus. Otherwise his condition would have been the same. God who knew the things of future allowed him to have pain and heartbreak so that his life could be saved.Are you in the wilderness of your life today? Oh, let me tell you, there may be pain, heartbreak and pangs of death in the wilderness but if you trust in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, He will not allow you to die in the wilderness. He will step into the wilderness where you are and show you the way so that you could survive. I know that many of you are at the end of your life where all your resources have dried up and all your hopes are cut off. I am going to pray for you that God may open your eyes so that you could see the resources and survive. Father God, I pray for each and every person who has lost every hope. Touch them and open their eyes so that they could see the well, well of resources, nourishment, life and blessing. O, Father, wipe away their tears at this very moment. I believe that you have done it. So I praise you Lord. Thank you Father for doing mighty things for your children. We pray in Jesus name, Amen.
Gen 3:4-5, "Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."God created human beings and planted them in the Garden of Eden. They had every freedom to do any thing they wanted but only the fruit of one tree was forbidden, the fruit of knowledge of good and evil.God said to Adam Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;Gen 2:17 "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."God made it clear that the tree is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and that the day they eat of it, they will die. Now the devil comes and tells Eve "You will not surely die". In other words devil is trying to discredit God and making an outright accusation that God is telling a lie. Devil doesn't stop there and goes further and says "God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened". Not only had he accused that God is a liar, but he suggested that God is deceptive and that God had not revealed full information about the tree.But when you go back to Gen 2:17 there you find that God had clearly mentioned the name of the tree that it is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Also the day Adam and Eve ate the fruit of that tree they died spiritually. Sin entered in their lives and they became alienated from God. The moment they ate, spiritual death came and ruled over them. They also died physically years later.Paul describes it this wayRom 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned;Rom 3:23 also says " for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"Rom 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death,"So sin entered through Adam and spread throughout the world. Because of sin, Death has been reigning in the world. Human beings appear to be alive and walking, eating and talking but they are spiritually dead. The core intent of their thought have become evil.When God found that devil had deceived Adam and Eve and made them to sin, He being the just God, had no choice except to kick them out of the Garden of Eden. But on the other hand he being a loving God, came up with a plan to save mankind.Gen 3:14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."He made a declaration in Gen 3:15 that the seed of the woman will one day bruise the head of the serpent (devil). Centuries have gone by, millenniums have gone by and devil was waiting and trying to determine who this seed of the woman could be who is going to be of trouble for him. When Jesus was born, Angels proclaimed of his birth. Luke 2:10 Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.Luke 2:11 "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.God made it clear time and time again that Jesus is the Messiah. Jews were waiting for the Messiah.. He is the Messiah who was to come for the whole world. Jesus was that solution of God for the fallen mankind.Jesus himself said Mat 18:11 "For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.He came to save the people of the world from their sin and to reconcile them with God. Having been reconciled a person comes alive spiritually. Death looses it's grip and a new person takes birth. The only intention of devil is to deceive, kill and rob. That guy doesn't want you and me to repent and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. That's why he is on attach because he is loosing big time.The very first deception has cost mankind their spiritual life and brought hardship and misery. Jesus is the only solution for the whole wide world for people to come out of their sins and to lead a righteous life. So devil wants to deceive people again by tarnishing the image of Jesus. He is trying to deceive people saying that Jesus is a fake.Although it is clear that Da Vinci Code is a fiction and not factual but many people who do not know who Jesus is and have not read the Bible will be tend to believe that it is fact. Even there are churches that have started to believe in Da Vinci Code. They seem to be promoting that Mary Magdalene had more faith than the disciples. What matters is not who had more faith among the followers of Jesus but who Jesus is.Jesus died for my and your sins. No so-called fake god will do that. Not only that, He rose from the dead as He had claimed. His shed blood is available for you and me to wash away our sins. He transforms lives that can't be done by any other way. Do you say that you are living in sin and are not able to come out of it? Do you say that you are not sure if you die today where you will spend your eternity? Do you say that your sins are too many? Look to Jesus and ask him to forgive your sins. If you want to turn to Jesus, pray this prayer with me.Lord Jesus I believe that you died for me on Calvary's cross. I also believe that your blood can cleanse me from all my sins. I confess that I am a sinner and have sinned against you. Please forgive me my sins and cleanse me with your precious blood. Please come into my heart. Be my Lord and Savior from today. Amen.If you have prayed this prayer please write to us and we will pray for you that Lord may help you grow in Him.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
