Jesus was eating last supper with His disciples. When dinner was finished, He began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, "Lord, are You washing my feet?" Jesus answered and said to him, "What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this." Peter said to Him, "You shall never wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me." Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!" Jesus said to him, "He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.( John 13:5-10)"

When Peter refused to let Jesus wash his feet, Jesus said to him, " If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me" and also "He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean..." Though Peter was clean still his feet needed washing by Jesus. Jesus made it clear that if He does not wash the feet of Peter, Peter had no part with Him. You may be a born again person, washed with His precious blood yet there may be few habits in your life that you could not get rid of. Your feet may be running again and again to those same places where you do not want to go. You need the washing of your feet!

Very often young people write to us and ask for prayers saying they are unable to live a holy life. One young man wrote, "I am addicted to porn on internet. I have tried my best to stay away from those porn sites but temptation comes over me like a flood. And I end up seeing those filthy things again." Another young man wrote, "I was anointed of the Holy Spirit. In spite of being anointed I yield to temptation. So after I have sinned, I feel very depressed and sad. All I want is to always stay completely yielded to the Holy Spirit."

This is not the one or two young men or women's story but many are desperately looking for an answer. Bible tells us about many young men and women who lived a successful holy life. What was the secret of their success? Job says in Job 31:1 "I have made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I look upon a young woman?"

Job had made a covenant with his eyes. Today you need to make a covenant and take a firm decision of not going back to those sins that you were committing before salvation. Give your life completely in the hands of God. Do your part and God will do the rest.

David was a young man, he says in Psa 119:9, "How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word." Read the word of God everyday and walk according to the word.

Few days back I was watching a Christian program. The preacher shared his vision that he saw soon after getting saved. He saw in his vision that he was sitting as a crippled man bound with ugly, brown mist like thing around him. He was so bound with those things that he was unable to move. He saw Jesus standing afar off and saying to him, "come". He was praying, "Jesus help me" but Jesus kept on saying, "come". He could not even move his leg. But something happened in his legs suddenly, he got strength to stand up and walk. He walked towards Jesus and met Him in half way. As they walked few moments later there was no trace of preacher but Jesus alone. The preacher had completely become a part of Jesus and was not visible. The preacher looked back and saw the cripple man (flesh man) bound with so many bondages was still sitting and was unable to move but the spirit man was with Jesus walking with Him. He asked Jesus, "What will happen if I lose track and will not walk with you?" Jesus replied, "You will become old cripple man again." The preacher concluded, "Never allow that old cripple man to rise again."

If you are a saved person, it is very important to walk with God everyday, otherwise your old self will come back and take over your life. That cripple man can rise again unless you give up everything and walk with God. Never allow that cripple man to rise again. Give your life completely into the hands of Jesus and walk with Him in His holiness. He can help!

A Prophet like Moses - Part 4

By Sherly Isaac

Deu 18:18 'I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.

Ruler and Deliverer:
God raised Moses as a ruler in Israel. When there was no one to take care of Israelites or to deliver them from their misery and bondages. Though he was not born in the king’s palace yet king’s daughter raised him. Bible tells us in Acts 7:21-22, "But when he was set out, Pharaoh's daughter took him away and brought him up as her own son. And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds."

Though his own people rejected him but God choose him to deliver Israelites. God made him a ruler and a deliverer and sent him to deliver Israel. We read in Acts 7:35 "This Moses whom they rejected, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?' is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush."

Moses went in the land of Egypt to deliver Israelites from their hard bondage. The task was not easy. He faced fierce resistance every time when Egyptians made Israelites job more difficult by putting them in hard labor. Many times Pharaoh refused to send them out. There were times when Israelites got very much fed up with Moses and the promise of deliverance. Frustration of Israelites is visible in Exo 5:20-21, "Then, as they came out from Pharaoh, they met Moses and Aaron who stood there to meet them. And they said to them, "Let the LORD look on you and judge, because you have made us abhorrent in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us."

Again God promised to give the land of Canaan to Israelites as He said in Exo 6:6-8, "Therefore say to the children of Israel: 'I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as a heritage: I am the LORD.'"

But when Moses spoke these promises to Israelites they did not listen as we read in Exo 6:9, "So Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; but they did not heed Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage."

Further we read and find that the promises of God came true. More than two million people came out from Egypt. It is more than a miracle that Moses could manage more than two million rebellious people. Every time they needed food or water they cried before Moses. Moses pleaded with God and arranged the provision of food and water for them. For next forty years they walked in the wilderness but they did not lack anything. Deu 29:5 "And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet."

When God promised that He will raise a prophet like Moses He intended to raise a prophet who will not only deliver His people from the bondages but also lead them to the promised land where there is no lack but the land of milk and honey. Jesus fulfilled this promise being born in this world. He went to the cross, shed His precious blood on the cruel cross so that we could come out of cruel bondage of sin and anguish. He promised to give us eternal life, if we believe in Him and give our lives to Him, and if we invite Him in our lives as our King and Lord and Savior. He wants to provide for us and finally wants to see us in heaven.

For the very purpose He came in this world to take us to the Promised Land. Are you in the bondage of sin, sufferings, tears, pain, sicknesses and addictions? Come to Jesus give your life to Him. He is ready to deliver you and give you a new life. Will you pray this prayer with me?

Lord Jesus, I am in cruel bondage of sin, addiction and sickness. Please come and deliver me from all evil things. I repent from my sins and turn to you. I invite you today as my Lord and Savior. Please come in to my life with all your glory and make me whole. Lead me to the Promised Land where there is no sorrow, no pain, no tears but unending joy. I thank you for listening to my prayers. I give you all the glory. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
