A few months back I saw an unique reunion between father and son. The son was lost while he went for shopping with his mother in a market. He was just three years old.His father (a truck driver) when he came back home, it was too late for him to search for the little boy. Though he went and searched in the local orphanages he could not find his child. For many days he searched for the boy and when he could not find him, he gave up and stopped searching. One Olympic ski instructor and his wife of USA had adapted him. He trained the child for Olympic Skiing. When Toby Dawson received bronze medal in Olympics, his fame spread far and wide and many parents who had lost their kids came forward and his father Kim was one of them. Finally DNA test confirmed that he is his biological father.Toby Dawson said in a news conference "My life until now has been confused, I looked at my parents and I didn't look like them. Then I also felt if I went to Korea I didn't belong there. I felt like I was still lost, stuck between two different worlds.”In the same way Adam and Eve when they sinned against God they got separated from God. They were driven out of the Garden of Eden, barred from all the blessings of heavenly father. Even today also people are lost and they are unable to enjoy the presence of heavenly father and because of sin separation and alienation came between man and God. The bridge between God and us is broken. But God did not keep quite. He sent His only son to seek and save His lost children. Jesus said in Luke 19:10, "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." On the cruel cross Jesus gave His precious life for us so that we could be united with God. He shed His blood to redeem our souls from sin.We read in Titus 2:14, “who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.”How big was the sacrifice He did for us! It is possible that you are living far away from God and from His will. But Bible says in Rom 3:23, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” and in Rom 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Yes, if you continue in your sin, you will see eternal death but if you turn to God repenting from your sins and inviting Jesus in your life, He will forgive every sin and will give you the privilege to become His child. If you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please pray this prayer with me: Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. Please forgive and forget all my sins. Today I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart and give me a new life. Thank you for listening to my prayers and giving me a new life. I give you all the glory and honor. I pray this prayer in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
Once I had to go for an interview. I entered into the interview hall. The hall was full with people who were waiting for their number to be called for interview. There were more than four interviewers. As I sat there for my turn to be interviewed, there were many questions in my heart, “would I be cleared in my interview? etc. Obviously I was very nervous. One lady interviewer was shouting at every person and she seemed to be very rude. My nervousness increased seeing her behavior. With great burden I started praying in my heart that my turn should not come with her. Finally my turn came to be interviewed. The same above said lady announced my name. Now I felt very much upset and despaired. I felt like screaming and saying to God, “O Father, “why didn’t you hear my prayer? Don’t you know that this is the most crucial interview for me?” There was not much time for thinking. I felt horror in my heart as I walked down to her for interview. She looked at the papers then she looked up and smiled. “You were born in Trivandrum?”, she asked. Yes… was the answer. “I am a Malayalee too”, She said. I took a step back and in complete astonishment I stared at her face. Her skin color, her hairstyle, her dress and her language never gave a clue that she could be from Kerala. Her shouting and thundering were all gone. Instead she cracked jokes and we laughed together. People sitting in the hall were looking at me in complete amazement might have thought, “what made her to be so happy while she was shouting just moments before. Then only I realized why God did not answer my prayers. Had He heard my prayers and answered probably the outcome would not have been so pleasant. Isn’t it true that sometimes God does not answer our prayers but Bible says in Rom 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” If you love God, He will take care of the situation you are in. He will do best for His children. He knows what is best and what is not. Are you in a difficult situation today? Don’t lose your heart because He is working on your life in the background. He will certainly show up with His best plans and purpose for you and will make you happy.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
