Second type of ministry in the Church is of the ministry of Prophets according to 1Cor 12:28, "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."From Genesis to Revelation Bible talks about Prophets and the important ministry they did. Why prophetic ministry is so important? Bible tells us in Pro 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he." Without the revelation of God people perish but one revelation could bring life in you. A prophet can tell people what to do and what not to do. What are the future plans of God for their lives? When we look at the life of Moses, we see that he stood between God and the people informing them of what the heart of God is for them. He heard the word from God and brought that word to the people. What God spoke, he told them and told them the plans of God for them.Every time when Moses faced a new problem he went to God and received the solution for that problem. This is what the gift of prophecy does for us. The gift of prophecy is so precious that it brings solution from the very throne of God for us. Without the gift of prophecy Moses could never have known how to lead the multitudes of people, how to feed them and how to give them drink. Without the gift of prophecy Moses could never have known where to go after coming out of Egypt. But God led him in every step because he had direct communication with God.Many years later when Jesus came into this world, He also had direct communication with God and He did what He saw His Father doing, He spoke what He heard Father speaking. He brought solutions for people around Him. Wherever He went mighty miracles took place. There was solution for every person with Him. When Jesus was about to leave this world He promised to send Holy Spirit who would be with us and show us things to come. We read in Jhn 16:13, However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."And when the disciples were filled with Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost their lives changed dramatically. Gifts of the Holy Spirit started working through their lives in a mighty way. One of the gifts is the gift of prophecy. God showed the disciples what will be happening, where to go, what to do etc. Even today God is interested in giving His children the gift of prophecy and He is interested in leading us and guiding us in His truth. If we ask Him, He will give these gifts as the Bible says in, Luk 11:13, If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" Come to Him and ask for these precious gifts which would change your life and your surroundings completely.
Witchcraft is powerful and deadly. Witchcraft is done by the power of demons and by the devil. Witchcraft can destroy your life. But no matter how deadly it could be, there is protection in the precious blood of Jesus. Those who are marked by the precious blood of Jesus can see protection in their lives.When the Israelites were in Egypt God sent ten plagues to deliver them from there. The last plague was that of an angel who would go through out all the land of Egypt killing every firstborn. But those homes painted by the blood of the lamb were spared as we read in Exd 12:23, "For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you." If you are marked by the blood of the lamb of God there is sure protection. God will lead you in the right path and protect you.There are books, objects, items through which demonic powers could enter in your home. I heard of many who had nightmares, sicknesses or problems in their homes. They did everything but it seemed that there was no solution for their problems until they removed Pokemon cards or Harry Potter stuff from their homes. Devil is real and his power is real. Witchcraft powers are also real. And if you go after these things, it will take away your peace and one day it will destroy your life. Bible calls all these things as abominations. But even many Christian homes have welcomed these books and movies in their homes. Why is it important that you examine everything that you bring in your home or what you read or watch? There are certain things that bring demons with it in your home or in your lives. These books and movies are nothing but what is inspired by occult and witchcraft that shows wizard power in it. It could destroy your lives. It could take away your peace and joy. It could bring sicknesses with it and make your life miserable. Once I heard about a man of God who loved the Lord very much and worked for Him. But none of his church members liked him. They always wanted him to be dead or very sick. Often they gave him tainted food after doing witchcraft. Whenever he ate that food he got very sick. It really puzzled him but every time he was saved from death. Finally one day he cried out to God and asked God, "what is the reason for getting so sick after eating food from my congregation?" Lord told him that he ate the food over which witchcraft was done and He also told him that, "Every time pray and ask whether you should eat or not before eating food." He did that and after that there was no problem for him. My friend, clean your house and invite Jesus into your lives. He will remove misery from your life and fill you with blessings. Today Jesus is ready to deliver you from all curses and the powers of witchcraft. Bible tells us in Act 10:38, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." What He did in the past, He will do it today also and deliver you from the oppression of devil.
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
