Galatians 3:13-14, "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."Jesus died on the cruel cross to redeem us from the curses. He became curse for us so that we could have the blessings of Abraham. Now what are the curses and why those curses come in one's life? Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 28th chapter what the curses are and why they would fall on anybody. There are many reasons for the curses coming in one's life but I am going to talk about two things that bring curses in our lives.1. Sins that invite curses:Deuteronomy 28:20, "The LORD will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me." The greatest sin of all is forsaking God and following other gods. Sometimes people do not do this intentionally but do so because they disobey God's commandment. Some follow the world and the passions of the world. All these things bring curses in one's life. Isaiah writes in Isaiah 1:2-4, "Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the LORD has spoken: "I have nourished and brought up children, And they have rebelled against Me; The ox knows its owner And the donkey its master's crib; But Israel does not know, My people do not consider." Alas, sinful nation, A people laden with iniquity, A brood of evildoers, Children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the LORD, They have provoked to anger The Holy One of Israel, They have turned away backward."When the Israelites sinned and worshipped Baal and other gods, God's judgment came upon them. Even today if we walk away from God, His judgment can come.2. Involvement in 'witchcraft' will bring curses:People who are involved in witchcraft give legal right to devil and demons. When they invite demons in their lives they think that demons will bring benefit to them. But instead of benefit they will be bringing more and more harm and destruction in their own lives. Because of witchcraft families are destroyed. For generation after generation those curses linger on and continue to work destroying the lives of people. Those who do witchcraft send curses and demons to destroy the life of others but finally, in the long run, those demons will return and harm their own lives. If you are involved in witchcraft or in any such thing, get out of it before it is too late, before it could destroy your life. And there is only one way to get rid of those curses and the influence of those demonic powers from your life, and that is, by the mighty power of Jesus. Jesus died on the cross so that we could be redeemed from curses. Repent from your sins and turn to Jesus. Become a born again Christian. Live a holy life which pleases God. Also confess all the sins of witchcraft that is running in your family. Ask for forgiveness of the sins of witchcraft of your forefathers or relatives. Break all the curses in the name of Jesus and cast out those demons into the bottomless pit. When you will do it, Jesus will give you deliverance. When Jesus was in this world He brought deliverance in the lives of people and He will do the same for you as we read in Acts 10:38, "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."Yes, Jesus can deliver you from all types of sins, addictions, demonic powers, witchcraft powers and demons.
In the Bible we read about David. He was a shepherd boy having no skills to become a king. Yet God chose him to be king over Israel. His brothers were already in the army and his father considered David not suitable to be anointed to become king. Why God chose David? Not because he was having good fighting skills like his brothers, but because he acknowledged God as His everything and he was walking in the ways of God.Today you may be useless in the eyes of people but God sees the heart of a person. God does not look at the outer appearance of a human being. He knows what He can accomplish through you. You are uniquely created for the purpose God has in His mind. Those purposes can come to pass if you give your life in the mighty hands of Jesus. David gave his life in the mighty hands of God and though he had to go through many troubles, heartbreaks, problems yet he could see God protecting him, helping him and bringing him out of the woods. When he got the promise to become king it seemed very great but soon after that what he had to go through was terrible. He had to run for his life not knowing whether he would survive or not, whether he could ever see his family again or not, whether he would ever become king or not? But in those dark moments also he trusted in God and on His promises. When the enemy came like a flood to harm him, he hid himself under the shadow of God's mighty wings. When his family and his belongings were taken by the enemy and when his own men stood against him and when it seemed so impossible to believe that he could survive and even in those moments he sought the counsel of God. If you read the whole story of David you can find the real story of a person who went through so many ups and downs in life and yet fully trusted only in the mighty power of God who not only survived but thrived in a big way.Have you taken a step for God and are you seeing troubles alone in your life? Stay faithful, one day God will bring His promise in your life just as God did for David. One day it will come to pass. David sure was disappointed, sure there were discouragements in his life yet he kept going thinking about the anointing he received to become a king. God's promises are yes and amen in Him as we read in 2 Corinthians 1:20, "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." What God has spoken He will bring it to pass. He will not allow your enemy to take over; He will not allow you to die untimely in the hands of your enemy. But God Himself will protect you and bring you out of all your troubles.If you have not given your life to Jesus this is the time to give your life to Him so that His plans could take shape in your life.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
