Malachi 3:10, "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it." How sad it is that whenever this verse is read in Church people think that, "God wants their money". Priests read it with delight, their eyes glow and mouth waters. But does really God want your money, wretched money that can not give you peace and joy? No, He has no interest in your wretched money but He wants you and your life as the Bible says in Romans 12:1-2, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Psalms 51:16 -17, "For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart; These, O God, You will not despise." Yes, God wants you, not your money or your offerings. He wants you to submit your life completely in the hands of God. Bring your worry to His house, bring your sicknesses in His house, bring your sins in His house, bring your anxieties in His house and bring your broken and contrite heart before God. And pour it on the altar and see what God can do for you. He says, And try Me now in this, "Says the Lord of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it." Yes, my friend, God wants to take your entire burden upon Him and wants to give you the peace, joy and happiness that the world can not give. I have seen many people, very rich and having everything in their lives. They have good house, they have good family. But they are missing something, oh, their faces have no smiles on it. If you look to them you will feel as if dead bodies are walking even if you stay some time with them you will start feeling great depression in your heart. They live like no happiness in their lives. Oh, but God wants to give you joy in your life as the Bible says in Ezra 6:22, "And they kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with joy; for the LORD made them joyful…" and also the Bible says in Psalms 16:11, "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." No matter what your situation is, God can fill your heart with joy and peace. He gives the peace and joy that can not be snatched away by any problems of life. In the midst of worst storms of your life you can be peaceful and joyous. Yes, Jesus wants to give you this wonderful life. Just bring your life and pour out your life before Him at the altar of God.If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. We will pray for you. Jonah the Prophet
Jonah 1:1 Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Jonah 1:2 "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me." The hardest thing for a prophet to do is to go and tell a person or group of persons that they have done wicked things and that God's judgment is going to come upon them. And here is a prophet receiving the word from God to go to Ninveh. For What? To tell the people of Ninveh that their wickedness is too much. But strange thing we see in the life of Jonah is - First of all it is God who is speaking, Secondly the wickedness of Ninveh has increased and Judgment of God is going to come upon Ninveh. If even one person whom Jonah loved was in Ninveh he would have run to proclaim that disaster is going to strike and so make arrangement for escape. But alas Jonah fled to Tarshish. He forgot that the God whom he serve is not going to give up, instead going to follow him, till he surrenders his life completely in the hands of God. And God did pursue him. God sent a big storm in the sea. The only solution to escape was to throw Jonah out of the ship. If you are a servant of God running away from the will of God, know it for sure that the storm is about to hit and you are about to be thrown out of the ship. Yes, you are dealing with a God who is the creator of the whole universe and He doesn't give up. Has God called you to proclaim to this world that it is wicked? Did you hear his voice saying, "go unto the ends of the world and preach the Gospel? then obey Him. There are millions out there not knowing what they are doing. not knowing where they will spend eternity after closing their eyes on this earth. And God is looking for his people to stand and proclaim to this great city Ninveh that their wickedness has come up before the King of kings. I tell you, if you love even one out of these millions of people, you will jump into it and start proclaiming. Because this whole crowd is going towards destruction. Their wickedness is so great that they are going to be cut off from before the Lord God Almighty for ever and ever.Do not be like Jonah who ran away disobeying the Lord. Now what do you preach? You preach the Gospel. What is Gospel? Gospel means good news or glad tidings. Wait a minute.... proclaiming to Ninveh that their wickedness is so great that they are going to be destroyed doesn't look like a good news! Then what? Did Jonah hear something wrong? no not at all. He heard it correct, he got the same word again for the second time. Jonah 3:1 Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the second time, saying, Jonah 3:2 "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you." So Jonah arose and preached, what did he preach? Jonah 3:4 says that he preached "Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!" Behold the message that looked so harsh, the message that looked so stupid, the message that looked like bad news spread all over ninveh and even reached the ears of the king. The king ordered repentance and the whole Ninveh cried out to the living God and found favor in the sight of God. God healed the Land of Ninveh remembering His promise in 2 Chr 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Are you called to proclaim God's message? Then proclaim only His message how ever bad it may look, how ever harsh it may look. Do not mix any other thing with it, do not try to polish it up, because God knows better than you and I know. When you proclaim what God wants you to proclaim, you will see blessings in the life of people. You will see great things happening.May God bless you.
Love
By Sherly Isaac
It is a tale of love,A love that can not be compared with anythingOh, unconditional love of GodGreatest love ever known in historyThat was the love that brought Him on this earthBecause of love, He could not see us in sinHe could not see us going into hell By disobeying God, man fall in sin, butWhat man is that He may have pity on him?As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,And its place remembers it no more.Yes, this is man, wretched man… But it was love that brought Him down It was love that made Himself sacrificial lambIt was love that He shed even the last drop of His bloodThe precious, blameless and pure bloodHe shed on the cruel cross…Just because He loved usJust because He wanted to save usYes, He wanted to save us from hell fire Think about the great Love of GodThe place where I and you should beHe took our place and died on our behalf The punishment that we deservedHe took upon Himself and Paid the Price in fullSo that we may never be in miserySo that we may never be in sin and sicknessSo that we may live forever and forever.
Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 13th May. 2008
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 13th May. 2008
