1 Peter 1:24, because "All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away,"Yesterday I sent an email to the company where my book is being published. Half an hour later I got a phone call saying, "your production coordinator suddenly passed away.... " I could not believe what I heard because just few days back I talked to him and got replies of my emails. Few days back our tenant from India told about the sad demise of our neighbor's daughter-in-law who was hardly 28-30 years old. When almost 8 years back she got married and came to live at our neighborhood, we all admired her beauty and charm. But today she is no more in this world. And I started thinking, "how short our lives are on this earth" though we pray and wish our loved ones that they may have long life. That is the reason why the Bible says, "All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away," Such as our lives. We are here today but tomorrow will be no more. This earthly life will end soon but the Bible tells us that there is a life beyond death. We are made up of Soul, Spirit and Body. One day our body will die but Soul will never die. According to the Bible, soul goes to a place either to Shell (Hell) or to Heaven. Many think that these are not real places. But the Bible very clearly tells us that these are the resting-places of souls. Those who get forgiveness of their sins by the shed blood of Jesus Christ will enter into heaven but those who rejected Him, the one, true and living God will go to hell. Yes, death has no definite time for it to come. It can come on a small child as well as an old person. Each and every moment someone die somewhere in this world. But the most important question is, "are you prepared to reach your destination?" Are you aware that as soon as you die, you will reach to either one of these two places? If you are not sure of your destination then this is the day of Salvation. Choose your destination of reaching heaven while you are in this world. Jesus came for the very purpose to give us eternal life. He died on the cruel cross and shed His precious blood on the cruel cross so that we may get forgiveness of our sins so that when we close our eyes in this world, we may live with Him forever that we may enjoy in His presence. Yes, He wants to give this wonderful life to you. If you want this life or if you want the assurance of heaven, please pray this prayer with me:Dear Jesus, I want to go to heaven. I want to make sure about my destination. Please forgive and forget all my sins by the power of your shed blood. Please give me your peace that passes all understanding. Jesus you came to give me abundant life - a life full of joy, peace and happiness. Please remove every pain from my heart and give me your peace that this world can not give. I invite you in my heart. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus for listening to my prayer. Thank you for saving me from hell fire. I give you all the glory and honor. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.In the New Testament the same thing is repeated and it says about the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.'These verses clearly say that in the last days God will pour His Holy Spirit upon all flesh. So if you have flesh you are entitled for the Holy Spirit. You can receive this great gift from God. Today many do not know it. Many think that this is only for a particular group of people. Some think, "I am already having Holy Spirit when I was born in a Christian family or participated in Holy Communion." When you look at the life of the same people who claim themselves to be anointed, you find all kinds of filth in their lives. You'll find them doing all kinds of evil things and still thinking that they are anointed. Anointing is not a birth right. But anointing is a very precious gift. When you get saved and after that when you long for it, when you ask persistently for it then you receive anointing. As you repented of your sin and asked for salvation in the same way you have to long for anointing too. When I first heard about anointing I was longing to receive this precious anointing. I prayed for nearly one year. I prayed each day "Lord I want this anointing, please anoint me." Lord heard that prayer and I received the anointing of the Holy Spirit. If you want to get this precious anointing start praying and Lord will anoint you.Today many do not want to receive the anointing. Why? Because of tradition. Somebody said "My church does not believe in anointing that's why I do not want to be anointed" or "I belong to this denomination which does not support this theory that's why I do not want". Once a person gave a very fiery lecture and later he said, "I am born as CSI, as long as I live I live as CSI and die as CSI." (CSI means Church of South India, he meant that he is a member of this Church.). That's good but let not your tradition hold you back from heaven. Let not the rituals and things make you to lose your eternal destiny. One day when we will finish our world's journey and stand before God, He will not ask "are you a Baptist, Pentecostal, CSI, Lutheran, Catholic, Episcopal, or Methodist?" No but in God's dictionary there exists only two types or category. One is blood washed while other is not. One is saved, and the other is unsaved. One is believer of Lord Jesus Christ, others are unbelievers. One is heaven bound, other is hell bound. One is sinless while the other is sinful. Think about it, to which category do you belong? One day we all have to stand before the judgment seat of Lord Jesus Christ. There will be two groups of people. Mat 25:32, "All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats."Mat 25:33, "And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left."Mat 25:34, "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:"Then what He is going to say to the left hand side people? Mat 25:41, "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:"In God's calendar there are only two groups of people not many denominations.The question is "where will be your destiny?" Can you say that you are on the side of the Lord? Can you say that you know for sure where you will be going after death? If not you need forgiveness of your sins. Yes my friend, know Him personally before the time runs out. Come to Calvary's Cross and repent from your sins and get the assurance of heaven. Reserve a place for you in heaven before it is too late. Jesus is ready to wash away your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Cry out to Him and He will hear your cry and redeem you from eternal damnation. Tradition cannot save you but Jesus can. Rituals cannot save you but Jesus can. Religion cannot save you but Jesus can. Denomination cannot save you but Jesus can. Look to Him for your redemption.So if you want blessings in your life, if you are serious about following Lord Jesus Christ, follow His commandments. Read Bible and you'll find whole truth. Bible and Jesus says about salvation, ask for it and receive it. Bible and Jesus talks about anointing of the Holy Spirit, believe it and receive it.God raised many prophets and they were all anointed. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit. That is why they could perform mighty miracles. Elijah was anointed, he could bring down fire from heaven. Moses was anointed, he could lead more than 24,00,000 people through desert. Elisha was anointed, that is why he could know the things spoken in the bedroom of the king of Syria. Yes my friend anointing is that precious. When anointing comes things do change. It is much more precious than gold and silver and precious stones. Ask for it and receive it from God. We are in the last days. Any time rapture could happen. If you want to live a holy life and get yourself ready for the rapture you need this anointing. What anointing does in ones' life? We are going to see very few things. 1. Teaches the truth: John 14:26, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."Holy Spirit which dwells inside of us teaches all things. Things of present and future. He guides step by step and shows the way. When we gather for family prayer Lord speaks through the Holy Spirit. He speaks many things like: what ministry is ahead of us, what is going to come, what we have to do next and so on. Every time we find that first Lord speaks about the oncoming things and later on it gets fulfilled exactly in the same way. Anointing is marvelous gift.God led Moses step by step and he could know how to deliver the Israelites from the land of Egypt. Again God showed Moses how to build the Ark of covenant, how to prepare dresses of Priests and gave him direction for all the things and he could do it. That's what Holy Spirit does for us. 2. Brings God's knowledge: John 15:15, "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.This verse again says the same thing. If you are an anointed person you could know the things of God. Abraham knew before hand that God was going to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Who told him? God himself. Prophet Jonah knew that God was about to destroy the city of Nineveh if they did not repent. How did he know? God told him. Moses knew that God was going to send ten plagues on Egypt. How did he know? Again God spoke to him. If you are an anointed person God will speak to you and you will know the things of future. Is it not marvelous gift? Yes indeed anointing is very precious. We all need this kind of counseling in our lives. We all need anointing to lead a holy life in these last days. Ask and receive this precious anointing.May God bless you.
Exodus 20:8-11, "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it."This is the fourth commandment of God that He gave to Moses and we can see how much importance God gave to Sabbath. Bible also tells us in Exodus 31:17, 'It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.'"When we observe Sunday as Sabbath and when we go to His sanctuary and glorify God, this day stands as a sign between God and us. This is a memorial day of creation that how wonderfully God created heaven and earth and to glorify the creator. This is the day of sanctification when priests used to sacrifice animal in the altar of the temple and God forgave the sins of people. God says to Moses in Exodus 31:13, "Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: 'Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you."Yes, the Sabbath day is a day of sanctification so that we may know that The LORD-God all mighty sanctifies our souls. He is the God who wants us to live a holy and pure life. He wants to wipes away all our sins. That is the reason He sent His only begotten Son to die for us. Why? To sanctify us, to make us clean and pure! Jesus broke all the bondage of death, sin, curse, pain, sorrows, tears and came out of the grave victoriously. On the third day He rose again and gave us new hope. He is still alive and gives us new life. His blood cleanses us from all our sin.God wants us to observe this day as holy and separated for Him alone. Doing some work and not keeping Sabbath is considered as sin and breaking His eternal covenant as we read in the Bible in Exodus 31:14-16 'You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 'Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 'Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant."Bible tells us that God sent bread from heaven for the Israelites when they were in the desert and people of Israel called its name 'manna'. God told them to pick up two quarts for each person. (Exodus 16:16) But God sent manna double portion for Sabbath day because God told that no one should work on Sabbath day. When a few people went out to gather manna on the 7th day they could not find it on the ground. as we read in Exodus 16:27-29, "Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none. And the LORD said to Moses, "How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws? "See! For the LORD has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man remain in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day."But when we come to the Quran we can see that there is no verse which gives importance of Sabbath though Quran also says that God created universe in six days but there is no mention of 7th day or holy Sabbath. And interestingly enough I read in one Muslim web site like this:"The idea that God rests like humans and gets refreshed like humans had to be corrected by Jesus, on whom be peace, when, according to John, he declared that God never stops working, even on the Sabbath day (see John 5:16). God clarified the matter in His own words when he declared: "And verily we created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, and naught of weariness touched us" (Quran 50:38 see also v. 15). "Let me quote the verse John 5:16-17 that says, "For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working."Well, there is no contradiction or correction by Jesus in these verses but it is a simple misconception of Muslims. Psalmist also says in Psalms 121:4, "Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep." If God neither slumbers nor sleeps then why He said that, He rested on Sabbath? Let us look what the meaning of "rested" is: Hebrew lexicon says like this: Shabath Definition:[1.] to cease, desist, rest(a) (Qal)1. to cease2. to rest, desist (from labor)(b) (Niphal) to cease(c) (Hiphil)1. to cause to cease, put an end to2. to exterminate, destroy3. to cause to desist from4. to remove5. to cause to fail[2.] (Qal) to keep or observe the sabbath So "Rested" simply means that God finished His work on the seventh day. It does not mean God slumbered or slept or felt weary! If Allah is the same God of the Bible then he could have known what is the meaning of Sabbath and what is the importance of Sabbath. And what is the meaning of "RESTED". But we can see that Allah do not know all these things and it makes clear that Allah is not the God of the Bible.
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
