Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me (Isaiah 49:15-16).The above verses talk about the love of God which is greater than that of any nursing mother. A mother can forget her child and abandon him/her but God will not. Once I read a true story of a young lady. After birth her biological mother abandoned her, but a loving couple adopted her and raised her as their own daughter. She grew up in that home. But one day she came to know that the parents with whom she lived were not her real parents. It really shattered her little world. She then continually started thinking about her real parents what they would look like and so on. Then she started searching about the whereabouts of her real parents, hoping that she could one day meet them.Days became months and months became years, but her search did not bring any result. One day all of a sudden she got the phone number of her biological mother from her foster home. With shaking hands she telephoned and one woman's voice responded. She told about herself and the purpose of her calling. There was silence at the other end and then the phone was hung up without a word. She could not understand why?A few days later she tried to call her mother once again. This time the woman's stern voice spoke to her, "Do not call me again...." and the phone was hung up again. Her heart was completely broken. She felt rejection as she never felt in her whole life. For many days she thought about her mother's rude behavior and wondered why she spoke like that? But later on she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and a great peace and joy filled her heart. She writes further that, "though my real mother rejected me and did not accept me and show her love to me, but Jesus wiped away my tears. He did not reject me but accepted me and loved me more than my mother."Today you may be in the same situation. Your parents, relatives and family members might have rejected you or abandoned you, but if you are a child of God, God will not forget you. That's what the love of Christ is. If you are not a child of God still you can become one. Being born in a Christian family does not make you a child of God. Going to church regularly also does not make you a Child of God. Doing all the rituals and good works does not make you a Child of God. But only when you are born again, only when you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior then only you are born of God as we read in John 1:12-13, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."Unless you are born again you cannot enjoy the love and care of motherhood and fatherhood of God. Unless you are in His family, you cannot enjoy the blessings and sonship or daughtership of the King of kings and Lord of lords. But when you are His child, He will take care of you, provide for you and bless you. He will not forget you because He has inscribed you in the Palms of His hand. He will not forget but all your walls are continually before Him.
Mark 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,Mark 5:26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,In Mark 5:24-34 we read the story of Jesus healing a woman who had issue of blood for 12 years. According to the Mosaic Law such a woman is supposed to be unclean or in other words untouchable (Lev 15:25). So she would have been rejected by the society and might have lived a very miserable life for 12 years.Not only that, she tried everything she could. She went to see doctors and they all didn't have any capacity to help. Perhaps she might have gone from one doctor to another and then to another and then to another and kept on going. Perhaps they might have examined her and would have given her a huge bill to pay and would have said to her "Sorry we are not able to do anything. This sickness do not have any cure. We tried our best and there is nothing more we can do".She might have heard the same thing over and over again. She might have thought, "is there not a single person who can give hope?"In the process she spent all her money and it didn't help her. Instead her situation worsened even further. How many times do we think that we have money for this and for that and we have money in the bank account and that we have insurance and it is more than sufficient for the future. Perhaps before she got sick she might have thought in the same way. Obviously it looks as if she had good amount of money to visit many doctors. But her money could not help her.For 12 long years she had suffered and still the agony and pain did not seem to go away. She tried every thing that she could and yet there was no solution at sight. She might have given up hope. Perhaps she might have gone to religious scholars and priests to ask them for prayer. I wonder what they would have told her? Perhaps they would have reacted as they did in John Chapter 9.In John Chapter 9 we read that Jesus healed a blind man. This man was blind from birth. Jesus healed him and the Pharisees were interviewing him. Reason is they were not happy that this man was healed. For them the day of Sabbath was more important than this man getting healed. So they questioned him and didn't believe that he was blind in the first place and they called his parents to interview them. His parents testified that, 'yes he was blind and now see.' These great theologians were running out of reasons to refute that healing. So they came up with a new idea that Jesus is not from God.John 9:16 therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the Sabbath day. Others said, how can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. It is very clear that they had absolutely no clue that God heals. They tried to refute the healing by different methods. So perhaps when this woman would have approached them for prayer for her sickness she might have been told that healing does not take place. Or she might have been warned that she should not go to Jesus for her healing. The very same people who should have led her to Jesus might have been blocking her from reaching to Jesus.Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.This woman heard that Jesus was coming and she ran to Jesus. She said, "If I may touch his cloths I shall be whole". Obviously she didn't hear about Jesus from theologians. Probably She didn't hear about Jesus from doctors either. It would have been the people who had told her about Jesus. It may be some of those people whom Jesus healed or it may be some of those people who saw the miracles happening right before their eyes. Hearing all that, faith might have arisen within her heart. And she believed that if she just touch the hem of Jesus' garment she would be healed.Mark 5:29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.As soon as she touched the hem of Jesus' garment she was completely healed. And she heard the sweetest words she only dreamed of. "Daughter thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace and be whole of thy plague". So far she went to one doctor after another and every one had said that there was nothing that can be done. Here is the one who was rejected by the theologians and priests and He is saying that she is healed. It must have been the most wonderful words she ever heard in 12 long years.Are you going through sickness today? Have doctors told you that there is no hope? Are you suffering with a sickness that you can't even share with people? Are you suffering with sickness like AIDS and are devastated because of it? Have doctors, friends and religious leaders put you down? Look to Jesus. He still heals today. Bible says that by His stripes we are healed. Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.Let me take this opportunity to pray with you. "Father in that name of Jesus I come before your thrown of grace. I bring these beloved people in your presence master. Please stretch forth your nail pierced hand and touch them and heal them master. They have suffered enough Lord. Please heal them and restore them to complete health. I ask this in Jesus Name. Amen".
Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.Don’t get surprised with the title. Yes many do not know that on the one side Jesus died for our sins but on the other side He also suffered for our physical healing. Today many churches do not believe this fact. Recently I was visiting a Christian message board. I was surprised to read the articles presented by of this message board. One side they were talking about the great Salvation, which comes from Jesus but on the other side they were mocking and ridiculing the preachers who effectively preach the messages of Salvation and Healing. To my utter surprise this group believes in only less than 20% of the Bible. According to them rest of the things written in the Bible like healing, visions and dreams, laying hands and praying, Anointing of the Holy Spirit (tongues) ect. are useless and worthless. How can you believe in some portions of the Bible and disregard the rest of the things? I do not understand it. Well, Bible speaks about Salvation and Healing simultaneously. Isa 53:5 speaks clearly that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. One side He was wounded and bruised so that you and I can get salvation or get a place in heaven, and other side He was whipped, scourged, beaten for our healing. Verse 5 says, “And by His stripes we are healed.” Yes one side Jesus died to save us but other side He received stripes on His back for our healing.The question is why sicknesses come? There are many reasons for getting sick but today we are going to see how sicknesses come through Witchcraft or Sorcery. Yes this is one of the major factors for sicknesses. Satan is using many of his agents to work on this field. Today the whole world is under the sway of demons and these demons work through people who yield to the devil’s tricks. The day God created Adam and Eve Satan woke up from his sleep. Eve was the first person to get into the trap of satan. This process is still continuing. Many are practicing witchcraft as agent of satan and working for him may be without their own knowledge. So sicknesses and various calamities come through witchcraft. There are two ways how sicknesses come in the lives of people through witchcraft.1. Through Witch-crafters or Sorcerers (releasing demons to attack people)2. Witchcraft could bounce back to witch-crafter, the person who practice witchcraft1. Through Witch-crafters:These are the people who practice witchcraft and send demons to other people to destroy them. You can get sick because somebody is doing witchcraft against you. Until three years back my dad was a healthy person. He was driving the car, doing all the shopping for our household. And everything was going good, but one day morning he suddenly got the attack of stroke and was partially paralyzed. We could not understand what was went wrong nor the doctors could. When doctors examined him they said, “it is quite strange we do not see any reason for stroke. His blood pressure is not that high and it was not the reason for stroke.” They did MRI and other tests and later they said the same thing. They looked confused and perplexed because everything was very normal in his body. Next day as we were doing a family prayer in our home Lord said, “he is going to get healed and everything is going to be alright.” So we knew that nothing is there to worry about it. Well mystery continued as when my dad was leaving hospital after 10 days the doctors again said the same thing that we do not have a clue why he got stroke. They said that he could take salt as normal because blood pressure is not that high. Well we also had no clue why a healthy person could suddenly get into this horrible situation. Later my dad said that, “all these things happened after a dream.” On the particular morning he woke up with a fearful dream. He saw a man in his dream who was known to him and he was saying some strange thing. Then as he woke up after this dream he knew that he got stroke. Well after some time one day God revealed that it happened because of witchcraft and that the culprit was none other than the man who showed up in his dream. Well I do not know why people try to destroy other people. But it is sure that satan is working in the lives of these people. According to Bible, sorcery or witchcraft is a grave sin and this sin has its own consequences. If you are doing witchcraft and fail to repent before you leave this world you could lose heaven too. Bible says in Gal 5:19-21 those who are practicing such things will not inherit heaven.Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,Gal 5:21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.Here Bible speaks about Manasseh who did evil in the sight of God. He was a good sorcerer and he provoked God to anger through his witchcraft and evil deeds.2 Chr 33:6 Also he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger.2. Witch craft could bounce back to witch-crafter:Witchcraft could return back to the man/woman who is practicing it and could cause sickness. There are many cases when witch-doctor himself/herself become the victim of their own tricks. Once I heard a true story, which happened in the life of a rich man. His father was a very rich man in his city. He had 14-15 children and he had many properties. One day he divided his property and gave it to each of his children. Some got 2-3 houses along with money. But there was a wicked brother among them. Let’s call him Johnny. Johnny was a very evil man he used to practice witchcraft. He did not like that his father divided property among all his brothers and sisters but he wanted all the property for himself. So he started his sorcery/witchcraft against his own brothers and sisters. Can you imagine how mean this man was? Love of money and greed has so much overtaken his life that he even tried to kill his own immediate family members. The result was that some of his brothers become mentally ill, some died early and many miserable things happened in this family. After some time some of the immediate family members got saved and started praying against his tricks. Now the situation turned in the reverse direction. The witchcraft attack which Johnny used to send started bouncing back to him. Yes you cannot play tricks all the time and get success. You cannot play the game of satan and think that all is well. No, satan is the real devil don’t you ever forget it. He will use you as a puppet for a while and when his work is done he will put you in misery and pain. If you continually play as a slave of the devil some day he will pull you into hell fire. So Johnny and his family started sinking in horrible misery. First he got into poverty, slowly all his property was gone. His wife caught a dreaded and incurable sickness, his two-three children become demon possessed/mentally ill and various miserable things happened in this family. Finally what happened? His immediate family members who were saved came out of their troubles because Jesus was their protection. They became well off in their life. But what happened to Johnny? Poor Johnny never could recover from his misery. Remember playing the games of devil do not work forever. Witchcraft is a grave sin. Are you practicing it? Are you trying to destroy others? How many lives you have been destroying? Think about it. You might have destroyed many but one day misery will find you and then may be it would be too late. You might be thinking now that everything is over. I have gone too far in sin and there is no return of it. But yes, there is a way out. You can still come out of it and find Christ in your life. Yes Jesus came and died so that you may not lose heaven. Do you not want to give Him a chance? He is a good God He will not despise you nor forsake you. If you come to Jesus and say, “Lord I am so sorry please forgive me of my sins, now on I want to lead a holy life.” I am sure He will never reject you, He will never say no to you. Give Him a chance and make yourself free from satan’s trap. Do not lead a life like a fool and die in sin.Are you a victim of witchcraft? Are you going through sicknesses all the time? Do you say, “Oh, I am all the time sick. In my family somebody is all the time sick.” It could be that somebody is sending demons against you and your home. If you are a saved person there is a defense for it. Recently I heard in a Christian program that curses and witchcraft power could attack in two places. Either it is you (against whom witchcraft is done) or witch-crafter (who practices witchcraft). So best deal is that every time when something bad looks happening to you, send it back to the person from where it came. Say I will not take this curse or demon in my home, I will not allow this sickness to stay in my home. Let the sender (witch-crafter) pay for it. Alright what is the defense for a believer?1. Send the curse/witchcraft power back - from where it came2. Apply the blood of Jesus upon yourself and your childrenSend the demons back by saying, “in the name of Jesus I rebuke this sickness, this problem, this financial crisis, this…, this… and send it back to the person from whom it came.” Some times it does not go so quickly so you may need to keep sending it back. If it is through witchcraft you can see immediate results in your life. Another defense is to cover yourself and your children with precious blood of Jesus every day and night. Before you send your children out for school or where ever, apply the blood of Jesus upon them and they will be safe. It will protect you and your family from demons and witchcraft.
And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, "Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand." So she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die (1 Ki 17:11-12)."In the book of 1st Kings chapter 17 we read about a widow who lived in a place called Zarephath in Israel. The whole land was under severe famine and draught. This famine had lasted for three years and six months. Elijah the prophet was sent to this widow by God. She was gathering sticks to prepare the last meal for her and for her son. The food she had was exhausted except for a handful of flour and a little oil. She was at the end of her life. Even she was not ashamed to share her desperation to a stranger when she was asked for a morsel of bread. She says, "I have nothing but we are going to take the last meal we have and we are going to eat that and die." Because there was no hope for her that she could get any help from anywhere. If she had money still markets were empty because there was no produce in the land. She might have pleaded with God for sending help but oh, well, now she had reached to the point where she had only the last meal left. It might have seemed to her as if God was nowhere in the scene or that God was not caring about her a bit. No wonder she lost all her hope and she was certain that now nothing can be done in her situation. A completely hopeless and helpless situation where if she would have tried all the possible known ways to get help still there was no hope for her. She desperately needed a miracle. Otherwise death was certain for her. And it was not an accident that Elijah showed up in her town at the most crucial hour of her life and when she was in drastic need of help.Many a times we go through similar very difficult circumstances and we feel very desperate. But I have good news for you. The same God who did not forget the widow of Zarephath will not forget you. He will send you help in the very hour you need it. He always comes at the right time, never late, never early. Hold on to Him and He will never let you down. Once I read a quote that, "Many believers quit at the time when they are at the brink of a miracle. Many quit when they are only one or two steps away from coming out of their problems." Do not quit but hold on to Him. Further we read in 1 Ki 17:13-16, 'And Elijah said to her, "Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. For thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the LORD sends rain on the earth.'" So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke by Elijah."The woman who was about to eat her last meal and thinking of dying, lived longer because God did a miracle in her life. The same God can do a miracle in your finances and will give you to eat. There is another type of starving and lack of food that is called spiritual starving. Many Christians are starving today and many have experienced spiritual death because they do not have enough to eat. Jesus called Himself to be Bread of Life and the giver of Living water. But there are many churchgoers who are not being fed properly with His word. In Song 2:4 we read that, "He brought me to the banqueting house." I have never seen anyone sitting in a banqueting house and sleeping. Who can sleep when delightful, delicious food is being served before you? But unfortunately today many of our churchgoers have lost the taste of the delicacy of His word. Most of the time it was served as tasteless food. That is the reason why many come to church but sleep on their seats. Many feel very bored and empty after leaving the church. Why? The reason is very simple. Because many preach from their mind instead of listening from God. Unless you hear from God and speak the word, it cannot satisfy the hungry, dying and starving souls. Unless your messages are anointed by Holy Ghost, you cannot satisfy those hopeless and helpless souls. A person who hears from God and speak, a person who speaks the word with the power of Holy Spirit can only satisfy the starving souls and revive them for life. Today you may be starving spiritually and may be dying but His word is the most delicious word. Those life giving words can revive your life and satisfy your soul and can bring you out of the drought like condition in which you are. Look to Him and ask Him for help.
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
