Hosea 1:10 "Yet the number of the children of Israel Shall be as the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' There it shall be said to them, 'You are sons of the living God."God always wanted His people to be called "sons of the living God", "His own people", or "you are My people" etc. How can a person get this prestigious title of being "sons of the living God"?By knowing God personally:When you say that you know that George W. Bush is the president of USA, it does not necessarily mean that you know him personally. But when you say that I know George W. Bush personally that is something different which reflects your personal relationship with Mr. president. In the same way, you might have heard the name of Jesus Christ many a times but it is possible that you may not know Him personally. Bible says in Hosea 2:20, "I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the LORD." Being born in a Christian family is not enough to know God. But it is important to come to a covenant relationship with God. God says in Hosea 2:18-19, "In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, with the birds of the air, And with the creeping things of the ground. Bow and sword of battle I will shatter from the earth, to make them lie down safely. I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in loving kindness and mercy." Until you come to a covenant relationship with God, you cannot know Him personally but you are an outsider. John said in John 1:12, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name."John spoke about receiving God so that a person could become a child of God by believing in His name. Bible also tells us about new life through knowing God, Gal 4:4-9, "But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods. But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?"Have you been adopted in the family of God? If you are not yet children of the living God, you need to come to the cross and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Please pray this prayer with me:Lord Jesus, I want to be a child of God. Please forgive and forget all my sins, wash me with your precious blood and give me the right to become your child. From now on I will walk in your holy ways. Thank you Lord for adopting me in your family as your child. I pray in Jesus name, Amen.
Time of Restoration
Joel 2:25 "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."God of the Bible is interested in restoring our lives. There are many who are saved and have became children of God but are going through terrible times in their lives. God wants to heal your life and restore those years which the four types of locusts have eaten.1. Swarming Locust: A few weeks back I was watching TV news and saw swarms of locusts attacking in Africa. I was surprised seeing the huge swarm that came like a mighty wind and ate everything in no time and left the place. When they were gone, there was no leaf on the trees and on the crops but everything was looking so bad as if there were no fields or good trees. Swarming locusts can harm your life badly just like they harm whole crops and trees. There are many who were tormented by series of tragedies and problems. One after another problems came and knocked you down. Sometimes all the hell broke loose and you had no idea how to deal with those problems. But now this is the time of restoration, restoration of those years which you have lost in your lives, restoration and healing from those bad things that had happened to you, restoration and healing of all the pain and sorrow with which you lived in the past years. God says, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten." Have you seen bad years in past. Rejoice, because this is the time of restoration. 2. Crawling Locust:Just like a locust that had been crawling slowly dragging its feet, you might have faced unending problems, slowly crawling, dragging in your lives in the past years, eating your life slowly, those sins which you have not got rid of, lurking in your lives and making your lives miserable. There may be problems in your lives which are killing you slowly, emotionally, mentally and physically. But I have good news for you. God is ready to restore those years which are eaten by Crawling Locust. God is ready to pull you out of your miserable life that is killing you slowly and steadily 3. Consuming Locust: You may be in a situation where everything might have been lost. You might have lost all your hopes, all your belongings, job or loved ones. Devil might have consumed you completely and might have put you in a position where you have no hope at all. But today God says, I will restore to you the years which are eaten by consuming locusts. Be of good cheer because there is a God who really cares for you, who really wants to give you back what you have lost. He can give you new hope. Come to Jesus He can help you. 4. Chewing Locust:Your life may be in the mouth of the devil who may be chewing you constantly and you may be like chewing gum in the mouth of the devil. You may be unable to come out of your problems and may be constantly in pain.God has promised to restore your life which the chewing locust had eaten. He is the restorer of our lives. If you are going through hard times and have lost all your hopes, still God can restore your life. He will make it beautiful. He will give you back those years which you have lost in your lives.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th July. 2008
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 8th July. 2008
