About a century back there was a very rich Hindu girl in Nepal. Her name was Chandralila. She got married at the age of seven. Two years later the girl's family received a message that her husband passed away. Losing husband meant a very bad thing for Hindu girls. The widow girls are considered very unfortunate persons in the society. She stayed at her father's house and studied her own language and Sanskrit. At the age of thirteen she lost her father in a journey to Hindu pilgrimage. After her father's death she returned her home and started reading Hindu Scriptures. At that time Chandralila was searching for answers why she become a widow. She wanted to know the cause for becoming a widow and she wanted to get rid of that sin which made her a widow. She read in Hindu Scriptures about how a person can get remission of sins, that if a person goes to the four main pilgrimages of Hindus, they could get rid of their sins. So she decided to go on pilgrimages and to get rid of her sins.Her whole life story tells us how much she suffered, walking miles bare foot, standing on ice-cold water in cold winter nights and in scorching heat in hot summer days. She did everything in her power to get rid of her sins but at last she found nothing except discouragement and disappointment. Many years of hard work to get rid of her sins could not help at all. At the end she was completely shaken up and lost her faith in her idols that she worshipped with all her heart. Later she found Christ and found the peace and joy in Christ that she never found anywhere nor in any gods. They do all the rituals with all sincerity but forgiveness of sins and peace is far-far away from them. Peter stood in the midst of people and cried out in Acts 3:19 "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord..."Do you want times of refreshing in your life? Do you want rest and peace in your life? Come to Jesus, repent from your sins and turn to Him. He will forgive you and will give you a new life - A life full of peace and joy.
God revealed Himself with different names. Very often He identified as Lord God Yahweh. The Most High God also known as the Creator. One of His great qualities is that He is the Creator. Bible tells us that how God created this world with His mighty power and great wisdom. He made living creatures and also Adam and Eve to live in this earth. Whatever God created, He looked and saw that it was beautiful. He finished His work with blessings on Adam and Eve.He placed Adam and Eve in Garden of Eden where everything was beautiful. Life was easy. They were happy and God was happy with them. But a day came when serpent stole everything from them, their joy, their peace, their blessings everything. Now what they lost could not be corrected by their own methods. They tried their own methods to correct their problems. They sewed fig leaves together to hide their shame yet they were unable to face God and were hiding from Him. Sin and disobedience brought all disaster on them, which they could not fix themselves. Today also many are trying their own methods to get rid of their sins and trying to come out of their miserable lives yet they are not able to. They go to worship places; they do all types of rituals. They torture their bodies; they follow all the rules and regulations prescribed by their religious leaders. They give heavy amount in donations... yet their lives are completely devastated. They are unable to live in peace; they are not able to get rid of their sins. Our own methods can do only this to us. But only the Creator who created us and made us knows how to correct the problem. If He fixes the problem we will become whole.There was a man who owned Ford vehicle. Once he was driving and his vehicle broke down. He did not know what to do. He called mechanic to fix the problem but he could not fix the problem. There was someone passing by from that way and he asked if he could help him anyway fixing his vehicle. The car owner was hesitant seeing well-dressed person asking to fix his car. With hesitation he said yes. The man looked in his vehicle and fixed the problem in no time. The car owner was completely amazed and curious that how he fixed it so quickly? The person told him, I am the one who invented Ford vehicle and so I know exactly what is the problem and where it is and how to fix it. He was no other than Henry Ford. Because he made the vehicle, he knew everything about it and it did not take much time to fix it. Mechanic could not fix it but the maker of vehicle could.God has created us and He alone can fix our problem of sin. By our good works we cannot get rid of our sins. God provided a way for us to come out of our sins by the shedding of the blood as we read in Gen 3:21, "Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them." And also in Lev 17:11, 'For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.'When God saw that blood of lambs and goats was not sufficient to take away our sins, He gave His only Son to die for us so that we could come out of our sins. Jesus came in this world and shed His precious blood for our sins. He has done everything for us now it is our turn to give our lives into His mighty hands. Repent from your sins and turn to Him so that He could blot out your sins.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
