Isaiah 49:15, "Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you." Fear is gripping up in USA about Y2K bug. People started stock piling and yesterday I read in Internet news that, "A Y2K-triggered failure in credit card swipe machines caused frustrating delays for thousands of retailers and customers trying to ring up purchases across Britain on Wednesday. The problem started Tuesday when merchants tried to swipe Master card and Visa cards through some 20,000 machines and found they were improperly rejected, said HSBC's London spokeswoman Nicolette Dawson." Yes, we are living in a world which is filled with fear and worries, no one knows what will happen next. But the Bible says in Isaiah 49:15, "a mother can forget her child but God will not forget us." No matter what situation you are today, if you are a child of God, He will protect you from all evil, He will not forget you nor forsake you. His name is Jesus, the name above all names. His is the most powerful name you may ever hear. Once I read the life story of Bro. Rabindranath Maharaj. He was born in a Hindu Brahmin family but his grandmother accepted Christ as her personal savior and she became a Christian. She used to tell him about Jesus. She said to him, "If you go through any problem and if you see there is no solution for your problem just say the name of Jesus and He will solve your problem." Rabi Maharaj was a young boy and once returning home he found that a black cobra was on the way. He knew that, one step could take his life and in that situation when he was not knowing what to do, he remembered what his grandma taught him and he cried out "Jesus". The moment he said Jesus, the snake turned and went away from that way. At that time he realized how powerful the name of Jesus is. Yes, my friend, you need not to fear if Jesus is your Lord. He will take care of you. He will hold you with His right hand and will not allow you to fall. But if you have not yet accepted Jesus, this is the time to invite Him in your life and make Him your Lord and Savior and get His peace in your life the peace that passes all understanding. BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD'S

2 Chronicles 20:15-17, And he said, "Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: 'Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's. Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!' Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you." These verses speak of the assurance of God when Jehoshaphat and his people were facing a threat from the people of Moab with the people of Ammon, and others with them besides the Ammonites who came to battle against Jehoshaphat. They were in great number so that Jehoshaphat and his people were terribly afraid. We can see the desperate plea of Jehoshaphat towards God in 2 Chronicles 20: 4 -14 Dear friend, are you facing such multitude of problems thinking, "I can not overcome all these problems?" Are you thinking, "who fill fight for me?" Are you thinking, "I am going to lose this battle and going to sink?" Look to Jesus as Jehoshaphat did. He prayed to almighty God and God said to him, "do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's." Today the same God tells you, no matter how big your problem is, no matter how numerous the problems may be, do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude of problems, for the battle is not yours, but Mine." Yes, my friend, your problems are no longer your problems from now on it is God's. He is going to fight for you. It says further, "stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you." Many times we fear, and many times we think that there is no hope for us. Many times we fail to believe the mighty power of God. Instead of believing God, we believe on our scientists and our technologies. But there is a God whose power exceeds that of any scientist, technologies or big machines. How many times we face a situation where we feel, "no one can help us, no one can understand us." But there is a God who can understand our problems and He can help us in those difficult situations. As He says, "Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you." God can work more quickly than any phone call or any IM(immediate messenger). He is just a word away from you. Third thing He says, "Do not fear or be dismayed." Yes, my friend your heart can be at peace even in such situation around you, when you see people running here and there to save their lives and you see people panic stricken thinking they have no help or hope. In such situation God says, "Do not fear or be dismayed" God is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. We wish you all a Peaceful, very joyous and happy New Year! May God be with you in this coming year and may fight all your battles for you!
Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 13th May. 2008
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 13th May. 2008
