Now police knows that who did the last week's Landon bombings. Not only it amazed police but those who knew these young men who blew themselves up. The reason is they were regular guys who lived among people and mingled with them in their day today life. The news anchor said, it is hard to find these types of people and stop them before they hit because they are regular people and their activities are normal.The BTK (bind, torture and kill) serial killer who killed about ten people in the 70's and 80's and created havoc in USA was caught a few months back. He was not caught because of his abnormal behavior but because of DNA evidence and a computer disc. When he was caught, the neighbors were completely amazed and shocked because he never showed any abnormal behavior but to their surprise the most notorious criminal lived just the next door. You can see people around you who look completely normal and behave normally but their hearts are full of evil, the same can harm you and destroy your life. Bible tells us in 2 Tim 3:1-5, "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"Yes, there are people who have a form of godliness but in reality they are not even near. But you can protect yourself from these vicious people by the mighty power of the Holy Spirit. If you are a child of God washed in the blood of Jesus and if you are filled with the Holy Spirit you can ask God to show the right thing. God will lead you and protect you from all evil.Many years back one of our grandpa's cousin came to our house and lived with us for many months. She was an evangelist. In very early age she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. When God called her for ministry she gave up everything and started working for Jesus though she was just a teenager. Her family and brothers did not like her commitment for Jesus. They tortured her and beat her but none could stop her from preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ. One day she preached in some of the villages. At night she stayed in a house. After whole day's preaching she was completely tired and hungry. She wanted nice hot food and some rest. Few moments later two young men brought food for her. When they were still talking to her, God said to her, "do not touch the food". Though she was hungry yet obeyed the word of God and said to young men, " I am not feeling like eating, please leave the food at the table. I will eat later." The young men insisted her to eat but she denied their request. When the young men left she turned off the light of her room and said a prayer and went to sleep, wondering why did God forbid her to eat the food. When she woke up in the morning, she saw the food was still at the table. She opened the lid and to her surprise all the full boiled eggs were turned out to be green and dark bluish in color. She realized that the eggs were poisoned. What they did was, they used small injection needle to inject the poison in hard-boiled eggs. But because she obeyed God, her life was spared. One word from God can save your life. One word from God can make a difference in your life. Psalmist says in Psa 91:4-11, "He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you."Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways."This is the promise of God for those who love Him and walk in His holy ways. Are you seeing terrorism around you? Are you seeing sicknesses and terrible things in your life, do not be afraid but keep your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. He will protect you from all evil. If you are not a child of God and if you are afraid of terrible things around you, come to Jesus and give your heart to Jesus. Please pray this prayer with me. Dear Lord Jesus, I am afraid of my surroundings and the terrible things that are happening in this world. Please come into my life and fill me with your peace. Forgive and forget all my sins. Today I invite you as my Lord and Savior in my life. Take away all my fear from my heart and fill me with your divine peace. Thank you for listening to my prayers and giving me your peace. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
I am glad to tell you that we have just completed the 8th year of this magazine on the Internet. It is amazing that how God blessed it. All praise and glory belongs to Jesus alone. When God introduced Himself to Moses, He precisely told him that He is a God who is merciful, gracious, longsuffering and abounding in goodness and truth. He also told him that He is the God who forgives the sins of people but the same time He does not ignore sin but justly judge people. We read in Exo 34:6-7, "And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."Jeremiah write the words of God in Jer 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."Bible again and again talks about the God's quality of doing good and bring blessings in the lives of people and not to harm them or not to bring evil in their lives. The same good God loved us so dearly that He could not see us drowning in sin and going to hell fire. The same loving and merciful God who loved human being and wanted to do for their welfare came down in this world to die for the sins and take away the sins and reproach of the world. Bible says in John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."God is so loving that He did not require of your sons or daughter to go and die for your sins but He gave Himself for human kind. The Love of God is described in Rom 5:6-9, "For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."What a great love!! We cannot understand the love of God that He demonstrated for us but we can experience the Love of Christ in our lives and can live a forgiven and holy life. Just like you may not understand how a small pill can heal your sick body but when you eat it, you feel good. Blowing yourself up cannot save you from your sins but the blood of Jesus will. If you give your life to Jesus, He will forgive and forget all your sins and will give you eternal life. The same good God wants to save your life today. Will you give your life into the mighty hand of Jesus?
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
